Woah this is incredible. Quick question: how do you managed to upload your UV's from Maya to Photoshop and then put them back into Maya, im a student and im still trying to figure it out :(
Which brushes where used? Are these custom brushes or can I download them somewhere? I am always struggling with finding a brush that does what I want.
beautiful result! i only have a question though: the model doesn't seem to have any soft/hard edges, does the lowpoly shading matter in handpainted unlit models?
@Trantor The Troll Appreciate the vote of confidence. I've moved on to pixel art which seems a bit easier (not to mention 2D games are a lot easier for solo indie devs). I do want to make some root motion 3D stuff at some point, but not for a long while until I get 2D stuff out the door.
I think it will be helpful if you turn the emissive of the texture on and there is no need for normals and shading issue because this is not the realistic render, even in the lol, developer will not make the reflection or any roughness, just let it glow! so,no need for smooth editting! bro !

As much as I can appreciate Substance shortcuts, you just can’t beat the love from hands on painting. Beautiful!
Handpainting begins around 13:11 for anyone interested :)
Looks great. What brushes are you using?
@@theblah12 Brushes don't matter. Knowledge and experience do!
@@FictionCautious It would still be nice to know.
Wow this is amazing! I strive to be this good, I love the look and feel of handpainted textures on 3D models

Bro… mad respect 🫡
Incredible work . 😮
thanks
Just add a normal map and that would REALLY POP! Wish I could do any level of asset modeling... but yea I can't haha.

Nicee!! I'd like to ask you something. Did you apply shade smooth or something else?

3d max is the best to create teapots😊.
I have a nice round bubblebutt we can share together
Why are you working by hand with UV instead of using the Maya unfold UV function?
Was unfold any good in 2016? I used it in 2014 and it was a bit crappy. Things are sweet in 2020 though.
