Thank you for doing this reaction. I do want to say Meat Loaf, hated when people wrote his name like the food meatloaf as one word, he said it’s two words “Meat Loaf”. I hope you continue to react to this incredible; singer/entertainer/and over all human being. Meat Loaf is an iconic legend that will be remembered forever. I cried for a few days when Meat Loaf passed, as I knew I would. He is one of my most favorites. Most people really do not know of what a kind sweet soul he had, and how he gave everything of himself to his fans. Most of his band members were with him for decades. He had an open heart for all the world to see, and one of the most compassionate, loving, caring, patriotic person with a very strong faith in God. The world suffered a great loss with his passing. For the past 47 years he has been a constant in my life. I’ve had so much respect and admiration for Meat Loaf that transcended into a great love for him. For Crying Out Loud is one of my favorites, and it was one of Meat’s favorites too. Meat said he believed it was the greatest love story ever written. It’s a hard song to sing, and he did not do it live very much. So there’s a live performance of For Crying Out Loud from live 2004; the video says Meat Loaf live with MSO - For Crying Out Loud. This was from the iconic Bat Out of Hell album written by the iconic late Jim Steinman. Some other great ones from Meat Loaf are: You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth, I’d Lie For You, I Couldn’t Have Said it Better Myself, Wasted Youth, It’s All Coming Back To Me, Amnesty is Granted, If This is the Last Kiss, Where the Rubber Meets the Road, Left in the Dark, Forever Young, Out of the Frying Pan, Not a Dry Eye in the House, Did I Say That, Objects in the Rear View Mirror Appear Closer, Razor’s Edge, I’m Gonna Love Her For Both of Us, Testify, Life is a Lemon, and Heaven Can Wait. Also I think you’ll love the video from Rocky Horror Picture Show where Meat Loaf sings “Hot Patootie(Bless My Soul)”, Meat Loaf jams with a saxophone. There are so many great songs from him.
3 of the band (Paul Crook, Randy Flowers and John Miceli) are still touring with Caleb Johnson singing. It's a great concert would recommend seeing it.
By the way, for anyone still asking ‘what won’t he do’, it’s in the first verse. He will never lie to you and that’s a fact. Every ‘that’ after refers to the first verse. And it’s extended to him not messing around, sooner or later, at the end.
Lorraine Crosby was the female singer. Dana Patrick was the actress in the video. Believe it or not, this is the short version of the song. Her part is slightly larger in the original 12 minute epic. There's more of a buildup of requests before she gets to the holy water hosing.
Bit of a Theme with Meatloaf. Ellen Foley (see season 2 of the original Night Court,) sang on Bat Out Of Hell, and it's her voice in the music videos, The "actress" Karla DeVito (married Robby Benson) in the videos did sing on tour with him though.
listen to Bat out of hell, the tempo changes in most of his music. HE WON A GRAMMY FOR THIS SONG. Michael Bay directed the video,, hes world famous now
Way back when Rocky Horror Picture Show was out and Meatloaf had his Bat out of Hell album hitting, I wound up next to him at a concert. At the time not many had caught on to him and we chatted bit. I was doing things with other groups and never caught up to him again. The guy was in movies, had his musical career and even did some opera sitting in with Luciano Pavarotti...
Say what you want about Meatloaf but you can’t deny the vocal ability of Meatloaf not to mention how theatrical he is. I’m not real familiar with them but the piano player was like the wizard behind the curtain in The Wizard of OZ! Without him there in no Meatloaf or at least the outstanding quality that was put forth!!
I like to see you all react to Meatloaf’ s song Objects in the review mirror may appear closer than they are. I think it’s a close number one out of his music.
Oohh my goodness, someone finally got the video right smack on the head. It is not a Beauty & the Beast retelling. It's from Bram Stocker's Dracula!!! The three women in the bed with her were the three vampires who were snacking on Johnathon. Its no consequence that the movie came out in 1992 & the video the following year. He also has an aversion to mirrors. Hence, we see them being destroyed.
Meatloaf is a magnificent performer, but the element that makes Meatloaf is the songwriting and musical arrangements by Jim Steinmen. A HUGE part of what makes Meatloaf's music work is Steinman. The woman’s part gets cut off in this video. Not all her lyrics are in there. “Life Is A Lemon and I Want My Money Back” by Meatloaf is one that’s often overlooked. I was 8 when I first heard it and I was already fed up with all the lemons in my little life. I hope everyone has a great weekend. -Amber

Meat Loaf was a national treasure.
He's sorely missed.
international treasure plz
@@Glaaki13 Gladly! ♥️
Meatloaf was underrated which is shocking considering the numbers he put up. The people knew his value.
Watch Meatloaf sing the National Anthem at the 1993 baseball All Star game, his vocals are great!

In the last few lines he said " i want screw around ".
The "but" makes it grammatically unclear

I’m glad you guys are checking this out because meatloaf was so talented. His voice was amazing.!! He doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
"Will you hose me down with holy water if I get too hot?" great line.

She sounds identical to Melissa Etheridge
And she looks like Christy Turlington.

Jim Steinman wrote “It’s All Coming Back To Me Now” for Celine Dion…watch that video…same Director…very similar video/production style…superb song!

His voice was incredible
Jim Steinman, RIP. Wrote love operas, amazing stuff.
I hope you'll do some of his lesser-known songs. He has such a great catalog but most people only know the most popular 7 or 8 songs.

Also, the succubus in the bed were definitely taken directly from the Jonathan in the bed scene from Dracula.
RIP to Meatloaf so underrated and so beloved by his fan's. Forever in my Playlist ❤ Great reaction as usual my friends and Peace out ✌️ ☮️
You guys have to react to his great entrance scene/song in “ The Rocky Horror Picture Show! “ Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul!”
The freaky bed scene with multiple stunning ladies was from Dracula. Great song, the shortened version doesn't jump around and is more fluid.
BOOM!
Rock Operas were a big thing in the 80’s and 90’s
Todd Rundgren played the sounds of the sounds of the motorcycles on his guitar.
Meatloaf is my favorite!

Think that set with the curtains was used over and over for Celine and a bunch other artists
Great track. FYI the woman in the video is a model lip syncing, the actual singer is an English woman called Lorraine Crosby.

He was abused by his father and he called him fat constantly. Then he started calling him Meat Loaf and it stuck.
