Thank you sooooooo much for creating this video. I tried to balayage my own hair and I went to far up! I was freaking out! Then I came across your video I did exactly how you instructed and now my hair looks beautiful! I get so many compliments, all because of your technique.:) thanks so much!
Redken shades the best toner!!! Thanks for sharing your work!!! Definitely see a much truer color you did outside!!! The colors so beautiful for fall!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I wish I had a great hairdresser like you where I live! You're really talented and thorough, both in your application and your explanation. I've had so many bad experiences with hairdressers where I live because I'm super shy so I can never speak up if they're doing something I didn't want to my hair, then I always end up disappointed with the outcome.
Please do more videos like this u covered everything.wow ! Very informative I’ve been watching you tube a long time and this was the best yet. Please let us know what other formulas in shades u use
So so pretty nice work lady ! I`m going to do this to a client in about a week .Thank you for your awesome formula and vid explaining your magic here! (O:
How long do you process the root shadow in this case? Did you apply the shadow then apply the end toner right away and when the ends were ready remove it? Or do you wait in between and let the roots process some before adding the toner to the ends? Thanks!
I have a question. I'm doing a charcoal shadow root and fire phoenix ombre hair. Should I dye and rinse out my shadow root first then do the fashion colors or can I do then all at the same time? Will my red melt into the grey if I do then separately?
I need advice. I messed up a couple months ago [sept time frame] and dyed my hair a dark red color.... and HATED IT... im in the military so they made me fix it ASAP so I tried to dye over it an ashe brown...literally did NOTHING to the red so I went black. All in about a month time span. My hair was never colored prior so luckily my hair still feels pretty soft. But now I really want to get this kind of look with blonde. Im naturally brunette, but what should I tell my hair dresser that I want? Will they be able to life out that red and black? I got bolyage [sp] about 5 years ago and my hair turned orange... it was horrible.
When lifting hair you always want to lift a lighter level than what you are going to tone to to get the truest tone rather than dealing with underlined pigments that alter the toners True Tone, by lifting to a level 8/9 this avoids having to deal with orange/yellowish underlined pigments that when you tone will eventually come back after the hair toner fades which will become brassy hope this helps you understand better

I did heavy sliced highlight an the roots in some areas lifted a lil warm an I shadow rooted her with 7 n shades eq . But it turned green did I do something wrong
You may have used an ash brown that was too dark for the blonde that may have been too light. An ash brown is going to have blue undertones and the hair may have been too light not having enough red to balance everything out so blue and yellow make green. Make sure you fill the hair or just use a neutral or natural brown and mix in an ash brown too if you want it more ashy or just tone it. The natural brown will have a more balanced undertone or you can fill the section with a Demi that is 2 shades lighter and then after that apply the color you want.

I have a natural hair level 7.1, I do not want to change the tone can help me in the choice and I also have a length at 10 level
Do you always have to mix 3 colors and what would be the equal parts of these as well as the processing solution? Basically I’m asking for the formula
Doing this today gorgeous!
So beautiful! I love your works! Thank you for sharing! I got a question what is 7P stand for?
Vanessa Smith level 7 Pearl
Omg perfection
Great, tutorial, but difficult to hear (maybe it’s just my phone volume)?
If they’re natural level is a color 3 or 4 can you lift their hair to be a level 7 or 8??

So why lift her to a level 9 if you were going to put 7&6 on top?
Jadè Dunnell because they love to fry hair

REAL BEAUTY by Cynthia thanks for the in-depth explanation. They don’t tell you this kinda stuff in cosmetology school and I’m really into color.
Which developer you used?
Shades EQ has its own developer for these toners. Its processing solution.
I just saw this video and it’s great, I was wondering if I do the root shadow would the shades eq will cover gray hair?
Thanks Anahi Orozco

Sounds like maybe the hair was too light or the shadow color you picked was too dark.
You may have used an ash brown that was too dark for the blonde that may have been too light. Onde aqui no Brasil vende isso alguém sabe alguém fala português do Brasil??????
I thought she was a level 3 maybe 4
It’s actually demi permanent, not semi. Big difference.
CurvyGirl07 your description says semi, that’s why I was clarifying ☺️
