Cracking collection Amy. Cal Mag has been my savior for my anthuriums and I use mico when I repot. Love your content ❤️🌱❤️

Thank you so much Tina! 🫶 I've been wacking some cal-mag into the water much more consistently recently, definitely fell off the fertilising bandwagon recently but I'm on it again now, hopefully I'll see some better growth happening 🤞 I use mycco too but should probably go round and reinoculate everyone again because I have no idea who has had some and who hasn't 🤣 Thank you for watching and commenting 💕

The silver anthurium are my favorite.
I only have three but the pallidiflorum is my favorite ❤

Silver Anthurium are gorgeous, I do love the dark ones but I don't think the silvery ones get enough credit! they're so sparkly ✨

Hi Amy, I think your anthuriums look beautiful. I would definitely like to see a video of your entire anthurium collection. Your plant friend from Canada, Marcel

Hi Marcel! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, I'll definitely be filming an Anthurium collection tour in the near future, it's just a tad daunting! haha 😅

Love this! I’m such an Anthurium person so love seeing other people’s 😍 I’ve definitely offed some anthurium in my time… forgetii being my nemesis 😂 gracile was the easiest for me it’s not as fussy as the velvety ones, and Jungle Bush 🌱thanks for another fab video 💚

Oh me too, I love seeing other people's Anthuriums! They're such a fun versatile genus of plants in my opinion. I've got a forgetii and I'm not 100% sure we're friends, it has pushed out some big leaves for me which are incredible but it never seems completely happy 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think the jungle bush is one I'm wanting or at least one similar, I saw it in a shop a couple of months ago and loved it but ended up purchasing a different plant instead and I've regretted it every since 🥲 Thank you for watching and commenting 🫶

I just chopped my first anthurium flower off.
Do you have any idea if you can self the pallidiflorum?

I have no experience with selfing the pallidiflorum but I would imagine you can?! You'll have to let me know if you try it! 🫶

Hi Amy!! I’ve got a doc block cross and she gave me a fuss too. I ended up putting her in Pon and 💯 humidity. She’s poppin off now. Maybe try putting her in Pon or fluval and put her in a cloche if you have one. Just 💯 humidity. Good luck and gorgeous babies. I really want a dark anthurium next. Not even picky! lol 😂

Thank you for the tip Shannon! I don't know if I trust myself with pon or fluval for a seedling 🫣 I have such a hard time keeping things watered.. but then if it were in fluval maybe I could just keep it in a puddle 🤔 I've recently moved around all my plants and all my anthurium seedlings are in a different space now and all seem much happier, the doc block hasn't made any moves yet but I was curious to see if it would be happier 🤞

variability in growth is crazy. I bought one leaf seedlings of three different crosses (four plants in total) in November '23. One plant is absolutely enormous (the most recent leaf is 17.5 cm, based on parents a fully mature leaf should be about 25 cm), its sibling is less than half the size, and the other two crosses are half again as small. Obviously there will be variability in growth between the crosses, but that one I just feel like has gone above and beyond what is expected for a 9 month old plant.

17.5cm at 9 months old?! That's incredible growth! I'm impressed!! it's be flowering soon and birthing it's own seeds before a year old! haha 🫣 you're right, the variability is ridiculous!

Amy please stop being so hard on yourself. Sometimes anthurium seedlings are just runts and struggle. Even some of the strongest I have can take a while to get going. They look amazing and healthy 🥰

Thank you Alex, very sweet of you to say. Being hard on myself is my default 😫 but I am trying to be kinder to myself in all areas of life, including plant care! 🤭 I've moved them around recently in a full rejig of all of my plants and they already seem much happier, I'm intrigued to see how their growth will shift with this change in environment 👀
