Mildly hot take. I will seek out flights on the MAX 9 moving forward because: 1. They might be less booked 2. The plane is actually quite nice (great lighting and pressurization) when the door plug doesn’t eject
I flew 4 flights on a week on Alaska Max 9’s. 3 flights in premium, one if First Class. i usually fly Southwest out of my home airport. Hats off to Alaska Air, its ground and flight crew. Outstanding experience on all flights!😊
Awesome video you put together! I also have an Alaska 737MAX 9 report up. May not be as informative as yours but it’s got a lot covered from lounge access to the flight basically!
Great video! I love Alaska Airlines after being a customer for the past 20 years. I flew on a Max 9 in December from Seattle to Honolulu and loved how much quieter it is compared with other aircraft. First Class and Economy offer pre-ordering of food on the Alaska Airlines app. Easy and delicious!
I flew on a MAX from Seattle to JFK NY and back last month. The problems the plane and Boeing had were definitely on my mind going into it but once the flight got underway it was just like any other flight. The experience is really just what you make of it. Yes Boeing has had some quality issues and may not be as reliable as Airbus but they aren’t exactly problem free either. All planes have their problems just like all cars have their problems
Flying should not be worrying about the Boeing plane you’re on fall apart mid-air. Boeing has a lot to answer for and is losing a lot of business to Airbus!
Hi Steve - I use Flightradar24 most frequently (I find it has the best user interface). The air traffic control audio I got from liveatc.net - so I was not hearing it "live" per se, but I was able to download the recording after the flight (only some airports are available). Thanks for stopping by and happy travels!
I hope Boeing can manage to get their act together. Two companies supplying 95 % of jet aircraft isn't ideal, but its a lot better than just one! Last flew a newish boeing 737-800 I think it was, back around 2017. A fantastic rock solid flying experience with a good smaller airline. The greed thing seemed to become ascendant soon thereafter with the max coming along with its pokey little toilets! They seem to have had little sucess or luck since.
Hmm… I’m not great at giving advice 😂 but here are two things I’d say: 1 - if you look at the statistics, flying is way safer than car or even rail travel by a wide margin (you’re more likely to get struck by lightning than die in a plane crash) and 2 - for your first flight I’d try to find the biggest plane you can as they generally handle turbulence a little bit better in the air (i.e. less bumping around). Hope that helps and would love to hear about your first flight when it happens! 😃
Wasn't exactly struggling in first class on a 1 year old plane 🤣- but very glad our door bolts seemed to be installed correctly (or at least installed enough to survive the 4 hr flight)...
Looking at that rating from the WSJ. Like WTF Delta in number one slot ? Delta is hopelessly out dated , dirty planes , old seat types .. flew them for the last time last week unless i really have no choice.
Will anyone insure you with a attitude like that>? Maybe you should copy what Russian people did on Aeroflot-they clapped when they arrived, a sort of thanks for arriving in one piece! Me I'll fly Airbus thanks, at least I wont be filling some arsehole CEO pockets
Love this channel, keep up the great work man. The followers will most definitely come

3. You get a neat looking "I survived" lapel pin.

Thank you sir! Your video was great also, 4A is where it’s at 👌
Yessir!
Well done video!
Great work!
I'm flying that exact model back from Los Angeles to Portland on November 20th. If it happens it happens.

Thank you! Glad Alaska came thru with the food on your trip to Hawaii 👍🏻
I certainly do feel comfortable on the max or any 737 fleet. I my self am a flight crew thanks for the video

Great video as usual
Great video !!
Solid product other than no AVOD, Big miss on a relatively new plane for a full service carrier.
I flew 5 Hours to Orlando on N921AK. It was a Redeye
Great video! I’m on the same flight, but the red eye also in first. Not sure if we will get any meals on overnight flights.
Nice video BUT, how about some info on the inflight entertainment, movies., etc...

I'll always wonder what other bolts are missing or not torqued correctly. Assembly is a human factor and Boeing has messed that up big time.
Does Alaska airlines know where Alaska is?
Being new on traveler what flight Tracker do you use and how did you get the cockpit and tower frequency? Thank you

Lovely watch.
No way Airbus A 320/321/330/350 only. The last stellar & rock solid Boeing was the 767 sadly
The 777 is safe too, as is the 737NG
Did you get an "I survived" sticker?
Hahaha nope - they only hand those out on MAX flights over 5 hours 🤣
Advice for a nervous first time flyer?

@@flaps1019The biggest I'm going to get is a 737.
@@lorettamulkey9018 that’s plenty big!
Did you bring your own bolts and drill on board 🤣?!
Tried to but TSA took them away 😭
Flaps out here risking his life for the content 🙏💯
