This sounds similar to my story. I got approved april for vawa. I am waiting on my green card. I also didnt know you could get advance parole while vawa is pending. I had asked my lawyer about this and they lied and said i couldnt. I been wanting to visit my sick grandmother who is 88 years old. Apart from that i didnt know vawa green card holders can get citizenship in 3 years. Interesting.

The fact that they got a work permit with C31 on it - in itself - means the approval. They are approved. We often have to request in writing an official approval notice because the dingdong’s at Vawa Unit don’t think it’s necessary to send an official approval notice if you don’t ask for it.

VAWA name is vague. Due to its name it confusions so many people especially men.so many men and even myself were not aware of this privilege we came to know about it accidentally(in passé).if we( my friends and acquaintances)knew of it, we could file VAWA timely within two years window of divorce.is there any way we get exception to two years window bar? Can’t we do something to overcome this bar? Please advise

When approved vawa and GC holder through VAWA can remarry?
One of my friend has been issued EAD of category C31 after almost 34 months but no approval notice yet though a month passed
