Would be awesome to bring this group back in 5-7 years to see how their views have changed. Personally my views have changed a lot at different stages of life. This is a great video.
Agreed, good point. Everyone starts out as a a liberal democrat in their youth (mom/dad why doesn’t the gov’t just give everyone a million dollars and everyone will be happy). Then the parent, education, and real life take root and people understand how the world works. It makes sense that the fact that if only voters of 45+ voted in the past couple elections, ALL 50 states would be Republican. To restate, if only those 45 and older were allowed to vote, every single state would be 100% republican. To put in perspective, think of when you were 10 years younger, are you smarter/wiser now or then? Would you rather make decisions with your current knowledge or that of your younger self?
100% and I think the young married mom was a wonderful representative of that exact point. She's not that much older, but her life experience gives her a decade's worth more practical knowledge of the world.
@@Trail_Cairn I kind of agree, to a point. I don't think they start out liberal at all. The family system is a cross between an autocracy and socialism. Everything being given to them they need, but the parents being the king or queen. As far as them growing up to be Republican, if that was true, we all would be now. But our experiences do have an effect on where we are. I was a Republican, but 100% disagree with Trump who I do not in any way see him as a conservative in any way. So, I guess it depends on your definition of Republican to start with. Of course I would rather make serious decisions now than when I was young. When I was younger, I voted more with a hive mind mentality. Now I look and want the best solutions for the whole country, not a single subset of the citizens only. I see the whole picture of our place in the world as well as in the country. When I was younger, I saw only where I was.
The one whose uncle died in 9/11 has lived. That was sad. His fears are legitimate and I understand why he was so passionate about Israel - to protect America from this radical Islamist jihadism
The reason is because they hire media trained conservatives, conservatives from think tanks and special interests groups, and online conservative personalities who know how to derail conversations and try to evoke anger. The people, mostly conservatives, that they invite are not there to change their minds. They are making money from their views. That’s not to say the liberals they invite don’t have those, but once you learn about the real way in which America operates and combined with Jubilee casting choices, it’s very clear why the conversations in their videos keep getting derailed.
I've literally been saying this! She's acting like someone is forcing her to work the job that SHE chose. Being a trad wife is very possible even though it may be uncommon in today's society. It's no one's fault that she can't find a wealthy man to take care of her.
She’s too asculine to have any ma want to wife her and provide for her. She makes it seem like it’s impossible to marry young and be a SAHM today in the USA. 😅
It's funny she said i have to work, i wish i could be a mom, then she goes on to say all her girl friends are all married with kids. Yeah i wonder why her girlfriends can do that but not her. Maybe because shes so wrapped up in the politics of it all
Only one who really has moral clarity and a solid sense of national security and history is the one whose uncle died in 9/11 and stood up against the radical Islamic terrorism knocking on America’s door, putting America first by standing with Israel.
I do think the issue here is social media. It feels crappy because you are always comparing to perfect influencers, all over the world, competing for a mate with all the villages in the USA , When I was this age you only compared to your neighbors, and meet local people. Why doesn't anyone talks about this?
Seriously I've never been so revolted. If you wanted to be married at 19 with 6 babies you could have done that. You chose your path. Don't blame the women who wanted the option of a career on your unhappiness.
She isn’t. Her whole line about black women having kids out of wedlock while completely ignoring the higher rates of incarceration because of the law that Bill Clinton passed and the for-profit prison system that incentivized keeping them there and thereby perpetuating the lawlessness crisis when kids grow up without their parent figures, shows a complete lack of depth of thought. I admire her passion though and I hope she broadens her perspectives.
@@andyruiz5676I agree. Plus I think people are only used to and supportive of overly aggressive liberals who are very intolerant and hypocritical. So when they an assertive woman on the other side they can’t understand it. People in the comments are overly critical of her when she made extremely valid points.
This doesn't really feel like a fair representation of the sides. Right-leaning folks here are out of college and working jobs. Left folks are still in school (and outnumbered here).
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing after about 10 minutes. I then took a look at the other videos on this channel, and I realized this wasn't meant to be a balanced discussion.
Agree she was mean. Also guy in blue polo was mean after Sam with the curly hair and grey suit just told him his uncle was killed in 9/11 and I think maybe he is Jewish so of course he was horrified by Oct 7 and then polo guy just starts screaming at him WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT ISRAEL. Gee he just told you. No kindness. The liberal kids and Sam were the nicest people. The others not nice at all
One criticism is the lack of racial diversity. I’m sure the suit girls quip about black people’s tendency to have children out of wedlock would’ve been met with more squints with a more racially diverse cast. Other than that, they all seem very smart and well-spoken. Enjoyed this convo.
A few more squints yes, but absolutely something that needs to change. The question is how do we prevent wedlock births and fatherless/motherless/one-parent homes and other things that are plaguing the black community.
@ I agree. Still a great conversation. But there’s a reason the vast majority of minorities are democrats. Lived experience gives a valuable diverse insight beyond just having different views.
@@PFFlier So why shouldn't we state. rinse. and repeat don't be racist? hm? Why don't you want to hear it? Afraid of the truth? Truth is a powerful thing, and it causes fear.
I think the girl with the teddy bear was my standout. Her counter arguments were strong. I really like when she said “Are you still patriotic even after all of that”
the girl in the suit completely disregarding the other girls' fears about being alone in a primarily male space (where the men also probably are intoxicated) just because she hasn't experienced it is crazy. she needs to realise that her experiences and desires are important but they don't and shouldn't dictate other people's lives or negate their experiences.

@@HannahAdelstein-bf5tw There’s zero connection between 9/11 and Israel, so why would he care so much about Israel because of 9/11? It's hysterically hear that Republican girl say how wonderful women were treated in the '50s when she wasn't there she has no clue what they went through it was hard very hard . you had no rights at all you could not even open a checking account without your husband's signature you could not get a credit card without your husband's signature you could not buy property you had no rights at all That's why they made the rights of child support and women's rights because women were treated like s*** for centuries She has absolutely no idea what she's talking about trust me I lived it. Fact check: America does not “give” Israel more money than any other country including America. America does spend the most on America directly but second has been Ukraine. It’s funny because only one race and culture has progressive conversations without screaming and degrading the other side. That’s why this liberal debate left out the degenerate viewpoints of uncivilized immigrants who haven’t contributed more than the race that built this country and invented everything you use on a daily basis. Also watch The Free Press Sam Harris Vs Ben Shapiro and the Free Press Pennsylvania Jewish swing voters, it’s also like this, so respectful :) a conversation
My biggest problem, as a social liberal, with conservatives is the belief that there is a right way to live your life, and that it is confined to strict binaries. The notion that women should not work at all and should have children, the notion that abortion is bad, the notion that you must marry someone who is the opposite gender, the notion that you must instil Christian beliefs, etc. ALL I stand for is the choice to decide whether you WANT those, because it's great to want those things, but I absolutely, fully agree that it should be perfectly accepted to do the absolute opposite. Edit: please note that I specifically said conservative, not Republican - they're not strictly the same because Republicans also tend to hold centrist or libertarian views in many cases
Trump supporter here. If you paint conservatives with such a false and limited point of view of course you will continue thinking that. I personally think that it is fine for a woman to work and a man to stay at home, or the reverse. And if a woman doesn't want to have children that is her choice. Actually I think that could be good because we already have too many people. I am agnostic and have been for gay marriage since the 1990s. OK maybe I am a bit more progressive than the average Trump supporter, but I don't know many conservatives who actually think the woman should not work. That is very backward. What I don't like about liberals, is that they paint conservatives in easily critical caracatures which are largely based on ignorance, like you are doing.
When most people in your society are conforming to those restrictive norms, most will prosper and feel fulfilled and happy. We've seen what about 1 century of continuous liberal progress has done and society is crumbling. No one believes in the system anymore because they see no benefit. Mental illness, childlessness, and social trust are worse than many Americans thought possible. There's the end result of a free society for a hedonistic species like the human. I don't care at all about freedom. The goal is to have a good society. Some freedoms will be conducive to that outcome and others need to be kept on a short leash for the greater good.
Someone needs to be keeping in touch with these kids for the 5 year, 10 year, 20 and 30 year reunions to see how they progress in relation to this initial discussion.
I agree. Simply put, the younger ones in college who haven't experienced diversity in thought seem to lean Democrat, whereas the ones who have gotten out of their political spheres lean Republican. I'm curious to see how opinions evolve once their environment changes.
@@waynestock2006I went the other way. In my university STEM, there is a much more libertarian and economical right view of politics. After I started working and live comfortably, I changed to be more left wing and progressive.
@next_door_rigil3270 I believe it. It's just a casual observation. People's political tendencies tend to be fluid. It's very much affected by social environment.
I'm 32 and I'm just as liberal as I was when I was 18. The only issue I've kind of had a change of heart on is gun control and that's because I've realized that I love in a country full of religious nationalists who think they have the right to tell me how to live. Being a liberal isn't necessarily a lack of experience. It truly is a way of life. Being willing to bear the struggles of others is a conscious choice that I make out of compassion, not ignorance. And it's crazy that conservatives are so assured their way of life is better that they can't believe that. You can check in with me when I'm 60 and I will still not be a Republican lol
I liked the curly hair conservative guy that actually spoke more about the fact that there's a why behind abortions that need to be addressed. E.g., it's expensive to start a family. Too many times, the right (I'm moderate right leaning) doesn't talk enough about the why nor try to address those real reasons. They just speak on the right to life, and people escaping accountability, but there's more to it.
I think there's a major problem within the pro-life movement. They're pro-birth, but they don't really put any effort into supporting mothers after that. I don't think that's acceptable behavior.
I agree! I also really felt for him that his uncle was killed in 9/11, and appreciated that he spoke up about the threat of terrorism and in support of Israel and how that terror can show up in America if we do not support Israel. He was really nice and smart and has a good mind and heart I think! Based on what we have seen! AS much as one can know from a short video! Would vote Sam 2024 :)

I find it easier to compromise when it is not a 2-party state, as we have several parties in Switzerland! Anyways, you have my admiration and greetings!
Thank you! I also am encouraged by these humanized discussions. In real settings more of this fair discussion is possible but unfortunately the media likes the polarization. They give the impression to the world that things are worse in America than they are generally. Most communities are safe, many people think in nuanced ways, and most strive to behave civilly with their fellow men in person.
The girl in the suit who called herself a catholic mentioning how black people have babies out of wedlock sounded so disingenuous. Coming from her it legitimately sounded like a vile attack against black people.
The truth is not flattering, fatherlessness is the main issue within the black community. Check the statistics for children who grow up in single mother homes. It’s ok to acknowledge an issue because it is the first step to rectifying the problem
@@djsrage1305 I am all for acknowledging an issue. It’s her delivery I was appalled by. She didn’t seem like she wanted to fix the problem, but rather was just spewing out one facet of a very multi-faceted problem, in the most negative light possible.

The lady in the plaid blazer doesn't give the image of someone who would thrive in the 50s...not only is she very loud, argumentative and opinionated (cuts off everyone, incl men, which women weren't allowed to do back then), she chose to get a higher education (she wasn't forced, she could have gotten married to a trad husband) and runs her own business. She's fantasizing about being a housewife but overlooking how hard it actually it is.

Blue polo guy making these outrageous claims needs to get educated and not from online white supremacist "Christian" nationalist cults that want to cram their view on others.
Gen Z liberal here. One thing I would love to see in left-of-center institutions is a comparable devotion to scrutiny of non-Western societies. Western Hegemony and Western influence like any form of power has pros and cons, and I've witnessed a complete monopoly of attention devoted to denigrating the West through selective attention to its failures. I have seen no comparable requisites about, for example, the dangers of political Islamism or the negative qualities of other political systems or ways of life. This, I think, has blinded us to the urgency of issues abroad, such as slavery. Those issues (particularly slavery) seem to me to take higher priority than the issues we debate in the culture wars, not that those issues aren't also important.
You don't see comparable critiques because they have been taught a false alternative history that presents all non whites as victims, so they are simply ignorant of the realty outside the west. In Nyc, my public school education teaches that all 3 “major” religions are basically the same, when one of those blatantly advocates for the killing of apostates. That liberal delusion
@andrealawrence8583 They have them in every other panel. Just cus this ONE TIME they don’t its a huge issue? Why are u even focusing on that? It’s ppl like you who make everything magnified that doesn’t need to be an issue.

The panel was not focused only around African American struggles. So there is nothing wrong with having White Americans on a panel about the future or politics of America.
As a conservative Trump supporter, the woman in the suit was so embarrassing. Like the Conservatives would have a valid point and the she’ll just go over the top in aggressiveness. She also interrupted often . Extremely insufferable

Yes and that explains why some of the comments from girl in the suit and dude in blue polo shirt were completely from online (problematic) people even if they made some good points, but blue polo shirt didn’t know how to defend his opinions or cite facts and actually spread misinformation. This is true for those of us who were in highschool during or after COVID. I graduated in 2019 and my experience is VERY different from my younger siblings. When I was their ages I was always out, sadly everyone their age is closed off and we’re only a few years apart.
@duneeaaasha obviously my point of view is from someone who is about twice your age. Our worlds and childhood is much different, and we can only speak to our experiences. I have two sons, one 18 and one 19, so my opinion is based on observation. When I was 19 I moved out of town, went o college on my own, and the only way we could see our friends was to leave the house. What that does is force interaction with random people without the ability to hide behind the firewall of a text/DM/(insert seclusion facilitating device of choice). But I take your point, the younger GEN Z kids are at even more of a disadvantage.
I’m 19 and while I think social media is definitely having a huge negative impact like you said. Another factor I think is car culture and suburbia which I think compacts on that negative impact that social media has on socialization. For example if I’m looking visibly depressed I feel like someone is infinitely more likely to reach out and try to help if I’m walking, biking, or taking public transport. I’ve been to Mexico and France which are places where they have really strong community structures which are a byproduct of their great walkable communities. I think the difference this has on everyone for the better is staggering.
@judeseibel5909 I can see that. It forces people out of seclusion. I grew up in the street racing scene so we were always out in our cars, but the intent was to use the car to draw attention. As opposed to just riding solo with no social interaction. Public transportation will definitely build interpersonal skills.
I enjoyed all of this series. This group was honestly the most respectful, best behaved of all of them. 2nd place is the Jewish group from Pennsylvania. Keep up the good work.

There’s plenty of people who live in poverty and don’t leave thier kids and family. It’s more a value system. We need to focus on supporting areas in the us that are in poverty.
Yep! Not to mention, the nuclear traditional family is not a Christian concept… The one kid on the right who felt Republicans were preaching cannot distinguish people sharing statistics versus “you should live your life like”… Back to the point, marriage as a concept goes back at least 4,000 years to Mesopotamia, long before most religions today… However, as I recall, not much is known about the social norms around marriage at that time.. However, in more recent years the Chinese, Incas, and Ottomans set the foundation for marriage, as generally practiced around the world, today as being one of monogamy; granted, there were many exceptions for Royals and wealthy men who could have multiple wives, but that is a different matter… Point is, marriage, like many of our social norms in the US and Europe, is actually very close to that practiced in most of Asia and, to a lessor extent, the Middle East… While it is not easy to do, everyone should live outside of the US for a while, or at least travel international, so that they can gain a matter of perspective and understanding… Not to knock idealists, and while I do strive for progress as a society, most liberal idealists have never loved outside the US, have no idea how they would/could have survived in previous times (pragmatically speaking), nor how much progress we have made as a society comparatively… However, they criticize the leaders of prior eras, are ignorant of most of our history as a society, yet want to judge others, tell others which words are acceptable n society today, and essentially dictate our policies as a society…
This was wonderful to watch. As a conservative I was very impressed by these young conservatives on the panel who spoke so well for our side. And I was impressed by the liberals on the panel as well who did not interrupt attack or argue. Everyone was very respectful of others opinions. Well done

I agree with you, however, I also hear kids who haven't experienced the reality of life, and are depending on what their family support systems. As they get some real experience, views tend to change for better or worse.

We used food stamps and Medicare which we were so very grateful for and we used that time and those resources to move forward and out of that. That is what America can offer, a helping hand to more forward.

Don't compete in women's sports or change in their bathrooms if you're a bio-male, don't act like it's normal for the gov't to give puberty blockers/gender reassignment surgery to minors, and don't turn anyone's refusal to call you by your preferred pronoun into a crime or basis for doxxing. I think that's what she means re: trans "rights". Other than that, you do you.
Really enjoying this series. One thing I noticed as they were speaking, is that the younger members of the panel had tremendous difficulty making eye contact, and a very hard time speaking with conviction. My older kids (two in college now) had their early high school years messed up by covid, and there was a definite record scratch in a crucial moment of social interaction. Mine happened to be ok long-term, but I have seen so many kids their age have ongoing consequences from that period of their lives. On this panel, they really tended to withdraw (I'm thinking of the two younger girls on the left and the boy to the front on the right) and only speak up when specifically asked, whereas the older panelists were more willing to offer and expand upon their views. I know some of that is just age and seasoning in the real world, but this micro-generation of lockdown seems especially affected.
I graduated high school in 2019, I have 4 younger siblings and I got to see firsthand how much COVID ruined the younger side of the generation. My sisters 16, we’re really close so I see her friends often. She got into a fight with them and was so worried because she has no other friends, I asked her how do you have no other friends and she said after COVID everyone changed, became closed off. People turned into small groups, 2-4 friends, and nobody else. When I was 16, I was always out and meeting new people, I became friends or at least acquaintances with hundreds of people during my teenage years. People used to go out, throw parties, bonfires, and just hang out with random kids in the community. It is so different for my sister, she’s an outgoing person and she can’t find anyone her age to match that. It’s so sad to me.
I am conservative, but all conservative pundits are angry. Candance Owens, Ann Coulter, Marjorie Taylor-Greene, Megyn Kelly, Jeanine Pirro. Maybe Brett Cooper is the exception.
@@aesop1451Unfortunately, I think anger is what really excites the MAGA base. It's certainly what the leader constantly encourages. On the flip side, I'd say fear/anxiety is probably what Democrats embody (or at least the political commentators)
Watching this kind of thing from Taiwan, where I've lived for many years (though I'm American), it always feels like the most important aspect of this election is misunderstood widely back home: Trump has repeatedly indicated that he is open to ceding the defense of Taiwan and by implication our Asian treaty allies, which would likely unravel the rest of our allegiances and, in the end, the sustainability of our economic system. I really don't blame anyone back in the US for not having this on the forefront of their minds, but it is more important than everything they are talking about.
Americans fall for Trump no matter what he says. But if people attack him... Why do you have TDS? On that specifically, Trump has been clear that he doesn't care about allies. He feels attacked by them while he also defends dictators that talk to him softly and compliment him. He is easily manipulated. I couldnt ask for a better president... if I was Russia or China. Really making sure we get ahead of the US. The division he causes is also a bonus.
the democrats were such good listeners. very understanding and offered questions and new perspectives. whereas the republicans seem like they came with their minds made up and ready to argue. i think this speaks volumes.
I would like to disagree with you… From what it appeared, I think everyone came with their minds made up… but also, everyone seemed to be good listeners - I don’t think it was one side or the other. Kudos to the 6 people involved! This was definitely more peaceful than any Jubilee video I’ve seen with both sides… lol! My favorite line: 22:23 "Being a single working woman absolutely sucks, it's the WORST THING EVER. I hate it, I would go back to the 1950s in a second just so I wouldn't have to deal with this shit." 😂😂😂 where does one even begin
Ole girl saying that it’s hard for a single woman in this country, then on the next question saying that women have it easier, and then no one calling her out on it is ridiculous to me.
She meant that it’s hard because many women want to be married and focus on their family but because of the economy we are pushed into the workforce and end up miserable doing it all. Then she said it’s easier for women because in terms of financial success women have more college degrees and have less trouble getting high jobs.
Okay, while I agree this was a good exchange between these young people, the checked suit girl is so exhaustingly brainwashed- she seriously needs to take a breath and a birdseye view for a little while. ALL that “I only work for survival and it’s horrible that I have to do this, I’d rather be lactating” bullshit is so incredibly regressive, outdated, boring… like SHUUUT UUUP dude, you’re wrong and we’ve heard this song before. Betty Friedan would personally slap you in the face if she heard the points you were trying to make. Basically, I am a female about her age, and it is incredibly disappointing to me to hear other young women absolutely denying the importance and benefits of their own empowerment…and also refusing to consider the recentness and actual impermanence of the rights and power that women have fought for and earned for themselves. I hope one day she will be able to see things from a more curious perspective.
I don’t think she would deny the rights she has, but do you know women who do truly love their lactating life? We are really out there and it’s more common than you might think ;) I am a SAHM who has chosen it and find it incredibly fulfilling. I was valedictory speaker at my college and had many doors open to me in the workforce and worked until my first baby was 6 months but I then chose to have five kids and homeschool. When our experiences embracing SAHM life are denigrated in the public discourse it’s so frustrating. You can want to forego working without being opposed to women participating in the workforce.
The “right and empowerment” to be a serf rented out by market forces outside your control that drain your very life from you is worthy of criticism in many ways. The solution to women’s oppression was never “turn them into the most exploited men” and require both parents have a full time job as wage slaves massively impeding the ability to have and raise children
Michigan resident here. I had some conservative professors, at....Hillsdale. We would mostly study with fellow conservatives or libertarians but go to Ann Arbor on the weekends to party with liberals.
Yes really, 2 of them are extremist Christian nationalists and possibly anti-Jewish, definitely isolationist and with 18th century ideas of men, women and dating- it was scary. And I’m conservative.
It would be so coo to check in with these people after about ten years of life experience. Particularly the woman who claims to be strapped into corporate life by an overly-individualistic society. I’m married with two kids and rely on my husband’s income to feed our family; we homestead and all. I can’t imagine and don’t wish to impose this structure across the board-I can assure her it’s slightly harder than being a single woman with a full-time job and benefits. I’m only able to watch a video like this and post (my first ever) TH-cam comments because my husband is on a lunch break. She is clearly fresh off a difficult few years and seems especially defensive. I’d be curious to speak with her. She invokes the ‘50s, a time when there were fewer people in the country competing over more resources whose immediate and extended families lived nearby to help raise kids. My grandmother, Catholic, had ten children and struggled greatly, even with the help of her family. Today, you’ll need more than just robot compassion to turn on and off in order to foster relationships with your neighbors who you will rely on to help you and who will most likely mention the word abortion at some point, possibly not in the connotation she prefers. Anyway. Good luck to her. As far as the policy talk goes…there’s a new movement across the country’s institutions and businesses that are leaving DEI policies behind due to utter lack of return, maintaining or implementing only the ones that show improvement in positive outcomes ie in consumer base and workplace culture. These Republicans sound like much of the right wing internet that has come to rely on “woke” outrage to fuel their fire. Most of the country is ready to move forward. The majority of the founding fathers (versus signers) were in fact not religious and cite the use of the word God with the most calculated intention, certainly not with the idea to impose a universal demagoguery. Religious freedom etc. Where’s our libertarian?
Unfortunately, having a designated group to align with is comforting for many, even if it means sacrificing a given amount of individuality in exchange. As was demonstrated here, the person who was clearly the most meek and hesitant to speak her mind was Katie. Being that she is unaffiliated, she is most likely to receive scrutiny from all sides as opposed to having at least a group of her own to validate her opinions. Also I'm probably burying the lead; people just naturally tend to align themselves with whatever political party or lack thereof their parents aligned with when they were raising them, just like with religion, diet, music taste, sense of humor, etc
Political alliances have to be made, if you want to get any policies implemented in a two party system. Should you be beyond criticizing your own party? Absolutely not! But I think it's fine to be a part of a party. There's some practical benefits when it comes to getting your vision for the country implemented. It's just about not losing perspective of the bigger picture.
@@Bertinator-nm9ld The problem to begin with is the two party system. Political parties as a concept should be abolished. Make all political candidates independents and seat congress alphabetically
@@BittersweetDuality You will NEVER succeed in that venture unless you're able to get rid of our current "first past the poll" voting, and switch to some other system. What we have now is only stable with two political parties. No more, no less. If a third gets strong enough to be relevant, one of the two existing parties will fade to obscurity. That's just a natural consequence of how we structure our elections
21:39 This is conservative women's dilemma; they want to be a tradwife, stay at home, not work, and have the economic burden all fall on their husband. Then she says this isn't possible anymore because of the economy. This is the fruit of 40+ years of right-wing neoliberal fundamentalist capitalist economy policy started under Reagan which rewards an extremely small group of white-collar earners who deal mostly in finances and services while f*cking the manufacturing, middle, and working classes over. That's the free market working its invisible hand and she 100% supports that.
@ where did you get your economics degree from? Trump University? Do you have any faint idea of the economic history of the US? The trend of neoliberalism and deregulation is actually a worldwide phenomenon that’s been happening in the vast majority of developed economies since the 1980s. Do you have any idea of supply side/trickle down economics, the Friedman doctrine being the business standard, Thatcherism, Rogernomics, Agenda 2010? Do you know anything about Glass-Steagall?
Yes, it's so frustrating because meanwhile Trump and GOP politicians she supports votes against policies that will make it cheaper to have kids and raise a family like paid family leave and expanding the child tax credit (and none of these policies are radical because they exist in other developed countries). The GOP is also against raising the minimum wage, and they oppose labor unions, some even want to remove overtime pay. If more workers were unionized, the country would be better off.
Agree with lots of what you say. But don't confuse fiscal policy with social policy. Without an agreed upon morality (IMO), "unbridled" capitalism will do just what you are seeing. The perpetrators are immoral (IMO). But do not expect the government to legislate compliance into being (just how it is now). The greedy will put their hand in the till when no one is looking. This is the practical argument for a common morality. There are other proponent arguments.

Totally. OMG yes.
@@Trail_Cairnlove this comment!

Jubilee is left leaning platform with an agenda.
Bruh this is literally a gen Z debate. 😂

Very well articulated. For a country that promotes freedom, their freedom is so restrictive.
@@adityabhide6300republicans are a joke
No you don’t
One thing I hope they will keep is the ability to communicate different views respectfully ❤

I am in awe of this group, which was able to debate in a civil and non-violent manner.
This brings me hope for your country in the future to get past the mutual hate and converse and compromise.
She literally stated known statistics on the matter, niggaz be bangin too damn much
The truth is not flattering, fatherlessness is the main issue within the black community. Check the statistics for children who grow up in single mother homes. It’s ok to acknowledge an issue because it is the first step to rectifying the problem

Agree completely. But they are never taught that.
Mostly to end the Black American race.
It’s shocking what they don’t know. Like this: Fact check: America does not “give” Israel more money than any other country including America. America does spend the most on America directly but second has been Ukraine. Additionally it’s not “giving money.” For Israel it’s specifically funds going to military equipment and defense only, they can’t use it for anything else and it’s stipulated they must buy from American companies, and work together to take out America's top enemies (which Israel has been doing, they have been killing America's top bad guys that killed Americans!), and America makes a huge amount of money and security back on it. This is a loan and an investment, with the goal being American security as this poor smart young guy whose uncle died from 9/11 understands- the danger of radical jihadism/Islamism is not a joke. This is fact and not opinion. Opinion is continue to aid or not. Grey suit guy I think understands this situation very well.

Yes and that explains why some of the comments from girl in the suit and dude in blue polo shirt were completely from online (problematic) people even if they made some good points, but blue polo shirt didn’t know how to defend his opinions or cite facts and actually spread misinformation. The US does NOT “give” more money to Israel than anyone first of all that would be America then Ukraine talking about where funds go but also it’s stipulated defense money only that goes to Israel and they have to buy from American-made companies as part of that stipulation, it literally creates American jobs and of course the mainstream media completely fails to share this completely factual information. Sam in the grey suit was best able to defend his positions with history and fact rather than just talking appoints and opinions. I was sad to hear his uncle died from 9/11. That explains why he’s so passionate about national security and sees a big connection between protecting Israel and protecting America, which I agree with him on.

Well done

Also…. I hate to say this but it’s a huge concern: are these kids on anxiolytics or antidepressants, or both?

The one whose uncle died in 9/11 has lived. That was sad. His fears are legitimate and I understand why he was so passionate about Israel - to protect America from this radical Islamist jihadism
My favorite line: 22:23 "Being a single working woman absolutely sucks, it's the WORST THING EVER. I hate it, I would go back to the 1950s in a second just so I wouldn't have to deal with this shit." 😂😂😂 where does one even begin
@@BittersweetDuality hope you were sarcastic with that one because that was wild 🤣
@@minervarose7664 When I said favorite, yes I was being sarcastic. Not viewing that quote in a favorable light lmao
Why don't they have this debate for older Americans?
Ole girl saying that it’s hard for a single woman in this country, then on the next question saying that women have it easier, and then no one calling her out on it is ridiculous to me.
She meant that it’s hard because many women want to be married and focus on their family but because of the economy we are pushed into the workforce and end up miserable doing it all. Then she said it’s easier for women because in terms of financial success women have more college degrees and have less trouble getting high jobs.
This panel was just so awesome! Cool n collected!
Yeah the girl suit says she can’t find a good man that can provide for in my opinion you could just get an older man like Nina Peterson and sheraseven

Blaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Michigan resident here. I had some conservative professors, at....Hillsdale. We would mostly study with fellow conservatives or libertarians but go to Ann Arbor on the weekends to party with liberals.
This would have really benefitted from one more centered voter.
Yes really, 2 of them are extremist Christian nationalists and possibly anti-Jewish, definitely isolationist and with 18th century ideas of men, women and dating- it was scary. And I’m conservative.
Yes. Sam was the best one
What a great group of young adults! I also want to applaud the host for a fantastic job.
The FP is the best news outlet in the country.
I will never understand why anyone not running for office would claim to be a member of a political party.
@@Bertinator-nm9ld Yes I would be all for rank choice voting instead of first past the post

I would love to continue to see respectful political conversations like this one.
Alec is phenomenal at creating his responses. As a libertarian, I truly feel his comments are well rounded and informative.
Rightttt the “free market” as if there is “less” regulation now than before 🤣🤣🤣 As an economics major, please don’t try and cook again 🙏🙏🙏🙏
