This set’s an instant buy for me. The Revelation Orko figure was such a great surprise. It was easily the best Orko ever made up til that point. (Only Mondo’s got it beat, imho. Those reveals yesterday at D-Con in Anaheim were 🤯.) This Revolution version looks fantastic. The Mattel team rocked it with this one!!! It looks so dynamic, and the poseability is that extra mile that I deeply appreciate. And Gwildor?Gwildor!!! So cool. The second it was revealed at SDCC, I was drawn to the redesign and level of detail in that face. For Masterverse, that’s a good facesculpt. So glad they gave him so much articulation for that body type. I want to get my hands on it to see how practical those joints and cuts are. Yeah, I’m gonna need to grab extras on clearance. Both characters have garment pieces that would make for great Mythic Legions custom figures. I really can’t wait to see this show. Thanks for the early look! ✌🏾➕✊🏾

I was really excited about the Orko and also interested in the new Gwildor design and accessories! But I still wasn't sure if this is something I was gonna go after right away. However now hand, it's one of the coolest sets I have seen yet in the Masterverse line. I'm very happy how it came out! I'm glad to hear you like the set as well! These look really cool. I’m digging Gwildor. If we weren’t getting one in Origins, I’d get this set just for him. Sword looks cool as well. Perfect to go with Masterverse He-Ro since he didn’t come with one.

I was gonna do some other comparisons with Classics and Origins. But I wanted to just focus on the figures and accessories in the pack and save time on the video. Cool figures. I never had a gwildor as a kid. Overall he looks pretty cool. I like his weapons. Maybe orko could have been given a wand maybe. It's a good two pack. Mine were shipped 2 days ago from BTS. Can't wait. Good video sir as always.
Thanks for checking the review out! I had that vintage Gwildor as a kid. He was very boring at the time. I did like getting the cosmic key finnaly with a figure after seeing the movie then. But this two pack is much with The two figures and accessories is much more detailed and interesting now then those figures in the 80s. Hopefully, I can remember most of what I said about the figures… This version of Orko looks really good! I believe he’s called Orko the Great, or the Oracle? Those spell effects are awesome! And, yes, Gwildor is indeed showing up in Revolution, which is nuts! He was the only movie character I had as a kid. Great review as always! I’ll get caught up eventually! 😜

Yeah I think the Origins will produce a Gwildor figure down the road. This Masterverse Gwildor figure can work good in the Origins or Classics too. Gwildor looks like his younger version here. Both figures looks amazing. I like how they upgraded Orko's robe and still made it look vintagey. 😮 Gwildor's accessories looks like it was borrowed from the Classics line. Or are they completely new sculpt? 🤔

This is great but I want the classic Orko and a classic Evil Lyn too! I may write to Mattel. We getting new and cool figs but I want what you guys have and that's a lot of the classic look or close to it! I might have to watch that live movie because no definitely do know this little character next to Orko but its OK I guess
I think most people who grew up with MOTU brands or are even newer to it like yourself, really like the classic or vintage inspired designs. The Masterverse and New Eternia are taking many of these vintage Inspired or core characters and making certain changes or alternative appearances. I always liked variants in figures and characters going back to video game characters. But I will also prefer the Origin designs first. So, as far as Orko or that classic design you're looking for within a figure, I would say look on eBay for a loose Classics Orko or pick up the Origins Orko. That's as classic as you can get in a figure. I have a feeling we might see another Orko or some kind of Orko two pack again, but in the New Eternia line. And he will have that classic look! Gwildor was an Orko replacement character in the 1987 movie because they didn't have CGI, or it would be too expensive to animate him at the time. Most people hated that character and movie for a long time. But now there's a cult following for everything, and many serious MOTU collectors have this mentality to complete all popular characters from the Vintage, Animation, 1987 movie and other popular references from the 80s. It kinda looks like Gwildor's Left and Right foot are on the wrong legs when you showed the bottom of his feet. Not sure I may be wrong. I did get a defective Deluxe Man at Arms like that a while back though. Great review the figures look cool 👍

However I will check it out later. It dosent look like those feet will remove easy. Yes I have seen figures with reverse legs and arms going all the way back to the Classics line.

Again I'm not sure what the design concept is supposed to be with this Masterverse Gwildor figure. But it looks like how feet and inner arches should face in shoes or boots. But the feet also have identical looking curves on both sides.

The Origins Orko head just sits on top on the Masterverse Orko body. It dose not lock in. It's to loose. But it can work by just sitting down on the peg and in to the scarf on the figure on your shelf. The Masterverse Orko head is way to loose on the Origins body. The Stands do work for each figure. But the Origins Orko is also a little loose on the Masterverse stand peg. The Masterverse Orko fits better on the Origins Orko stand.
That bone Throne came with the MOTU Classics Super7 Snake Mountain set! It's a really awesome piece! I wish they would mass produce that on it's own. Thanks for stopping in as always 👍

I like the brighter blue for the new Orko. It makes him look healthier, which makes sense, storyline wise.
