- Review of the Masters of the Universe Masterverse Revolution Battle Armor He-man figure from the upcoming Masters of the Universe Revelation Cartoon on Netflix. I also show Other He-man figure comparisons and parts swapping as well.
Now this is a true review, thorough and informative. I love this new He-Man, the new upper body buck is a vast improvement over the old one. Head sculp is also much better then the first version. Hope Mattel uses this new buck on all of their upcoming figures!

Excellent review. Camera and lighting are perfect, which really brings out all the great details in the figure. I stopped collecting Masterverse figures for a bit because there wasn't a He-man figure on the market that I liked. This figure will bring me back into collecting Masterverse. Thanks for watching! Yeah that Origins Thunder Punch He-man armor fits most other He-man figures and bucks such as Masterverse and Classics. Yes wave 13 is supposed to have a New Eternia Thunder Punch He-man, Leech, New Eternia Syclone and a Horde Trooper from what I read!

Hey, Damon here! I do like this version of Battle Armor He-Man a lot better than the New Eternia version. I get what they were going for, but that version just didn’t really look like He-Man to me. This one, though, is a really good-looking figure! I still haven’t had time to watch Revolution yet, but I think the reason this figure doesn’t have the sword is because of what it says in the story bio: the Battle Armor was created for extra protection in the absence of the Power Sword. So, it would sort of be out of “character” to give him a sword if it negates the reason for the armor, if that makes any sense. (But then again, they gave Savage He-Man a sword when the whole point of him becoming savage was that he called upon the power without using the sword.) Oh well, it is what it is.

I definitely think this is a much better look and design for A Masterverse He-man figure. The bigger chest, newer face and head sculpt, removable Battle Armor and the new wiper cross armor is awesome! I didn't mind the the New Eternia He-man. But it was much different and trying to something unique for a He-man. I like this Revolution look much better! I also haven't seen the cartoon yet. But I watched plenty parts on youtube to see the good stuff. Yes this figure not coming with a power sword goes back to that bio and part of the story in the show. It's not a big deal. There are a few Masterverse He-man figures that have swords that can be taken for this figure. I happy to hear you also like the design and new look. The comments have been mostly positive for this new He-man figure!👍

This He-Man is great and his battle axe is fantastic I still would love to see a Filmation He-Man for masterverse

Great review. Yea man, I'm definitely excited to pick this one up. Moreso than the other normal He-Man figures that I passed on... The only one I did get of He-Man was the last battle armor one with the beard, because it was such a different look, and I liked a new take. This one looks legit though, face and skin tone. Love it.

I think this is a perfect He-man look for the Masterverse series. The New Chest, Removable battle Armor, Wider Cross armor, and of course, that newer head sculpt is much better. All of the Masterverse series 12 figures are fantastic additions so far to the Masterverse series. I also got the new filmation Teela. I haven't reviewed her yet! I got too much other stuff going on. But she looks awesome, and I can't wait to get to her!👍

Great review, really want this version of he-man. I presents as if they (mattel) really made an effort to improve the buck and keep to keep to the history, 1 human body, re-use the heck out of it and minor tool costs with armour that can be re-used

This is what a MOTU review should look like! I think he's really well done and great, not too thin like the revelations He Man and not an anabolic monster like the 40th anniversary He Man. I also ordered him twice for posing.

That's whats important! I didn't bring in the Orko or Gwildor because I already did a seperate review of those two and I don't know anything about the story or how they are gonna relate to Battle Armor He-man until I see the show. So I didn't think it was worth another comparision at the time I try to keep videos as short as I can and stick to whats important or most interesting as far as details, comparisions and parts swapping!👍

Wasn’t feeling the head sculpt when I first saw it. But it’s actually not that bad out of the box. I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with Mattel, though, they just can’t seem to get Hemans head sculpt right lol. And I’m not even talking about making it look like a vintage or anything like that, just a normal looking head. But it is way better than the first release of the revelation he man.
Love the bigger buck, love the battle armour. Can’t wait to have this guy in hand.

The sculpt could have been a little better in the mouth area. I know what you mean about Mattel not making a perfect He-man head. They do a good job with certain details, and other little things go to shit. Lol. But it is better sculpt than that first release head. The new Battle Armor and cross armor are what also help the He-man set worth the pick-ups!👍

This was a very informative review, as always. I love this new torso on He-Man. I felt the 40th anniversary was too big. I hope they keep this one going forward on He-Man, but keep the leaner original for everyone else. I always felt He-Man should be bigger than most of the other characters.

The Revalation or typical Masterverse figures have a very small chest compared to the Classics which was perfect. This new He-man has a much better chest size and head sculpt. This is a much better He-man design for the Masterverse series. I also like the New Removable battle Armor and wider Chest Armor as well! Yes He-man should always be a little bigger than other Figures I think as well!👍
Looks better than the Revelation He-Man. The way the armor works looks similar to some of the Masters of the WWE Universe figures that had removable armor. Planning on picking this up and using the cross armor on my first release Origins He-Man to give it a different look with the H symbol.

Greetings again. Great to see Revolution Battle Armor He-Man and great to see how his accessories are usually interchangeable with other Masterverse figures. There are limits, of course. I'll definitely remember that these new Masterverse figures have hands that have different pegs since I might want to mix and match different hands when customizing figures.
Before I forget, hi there, Bearded He-Man. I'm glad that I finally bought my copy of New Eternia Battle Armor He-Man last October when he went on sale. I customized him, too.
Hello again! Thanks for stopping by to check out this New Revolution Battle Armor He-man figure review. I'm glad to hear that you approve this design and the accessories. I really like this new version of He-man with the removable battle Armor, Larger chest and new head sculpt. Many of the New Eternia line figures and other Masterverse figures are going to the larger pegs instead of the Origins pegs that are thin and can break with to much parts changing. I had it happen twice. So im guessing that's why they are moving to the larger pegs.
Nice pick-ups on that first Battle Armor He-man. I still think he is also a great figure👍
@@Themanchlid Speaking of pegs, I *ALMOST* had my Sun-Man's left hand break on me. I had trouble twisting his hand out of his forearm because the peg was tight. I decided to just keep his gripping hands in instead.
@@tonyc.0451 Yep! That's a common issue with Masterverse and Origins sometimes with those small pegs. Use a blow dryer on low heat for a minute or two on the arm. Then try to remove the hand. Do not twist it back and forth. Just a light pull. If it dosent pop easy. Then leave it.

Congratulations on the review. Now, my personal opinion: I found the color tone of this new figure excellent, the face considerably better (although it could still be improved), the harness and the axe are perfect! But honestly, I didn't quite like the body, as in my opinion, the trapezius muscles are too high. So I think the perfect He-Man would be the face, harness, and axe (including bronze colors on the belt and bracelets) combined with the body from the first "Masterverse" version... but that's easy to customize! Luckily! So, that's my opinion... and congratulations once again! 😉👍🏻

I honestly like everything about this Snout Spout size and design. One thing that I noticed about the chest and stomach after my review is that it's pretty much the 40th Anniversary He-man buck painted orange. I didn't see that until later when I felt like I had seen that buck design before. I took the armor off the 40th anniversary He-man and compared the two later. It's that 40th anniversary design that many people didn't like from what I gathered in past comments. I think the New Battle Armor He-man buck and Snout Spout arms and biceps would make much better Male Masterverse figures. Thanks for also sharing your opinion and feedback about what you liked and didn't with this figure 👍
@@Themanchlid Yes, I also really liked the Masterverse line overall, in terms of design. But about the 40th version, what I didn't like is the overly bulky chest, in my opinion. So, again: I much prefer the look of the first Masterverse version. But between the 40th and the new Revolution, I definitely think the physique of the Revolution is much better! But again, speaking generally, nowadays I much prefer the Masterverse line (including the 40th and Revolution) for the overall design, the amount of articulation and general mobility, and also because they have "pin-less" joints, which makes the joints much more aesthetically pleasing compared to the Classics line and/or Club Grayskull (Filmation He Man's). By the way, in my opinion, they should have released another Filmation version with all the details of the Ultimate Super7 (short neck, very light shades, etc.) corrected and even the horrible ankles and poor articulations of the Mattel 2.0 also corrected...
@gargermaxpower2408 OK, that's cool! I also didn't like the pins in the Classics and the cut in the back for the ab crunch. The Regular Masterverse does have better articulation and pinless joints, as you mentioned, which I really like. Maybe they will release a filmation He-man version with those Details you mentioned for Masterverse. I think the filmation figures were gonna see for now is the Origins Cartoon line that's in full swing at the moment!
Yes, exactly. At the moment, we only have the Origins Cartoon to represent the Filmation line. And sorry for talking so much... hahahah🫣... but I'm very, very picky and detail-oriented about action figures. Also, in this new version of the Origins cartoon, I've found details that bother me too much: many people don't mind, but for example, I don't like the hair color tone, which is too "light yellow" (it should be more ochre yellow, somewhat orangish), the harness is too blue (should be more "graysh" blue), the boots and loincloth should be more reddish, and also the belt and bracelets should be more "neon orange". Furthermore, the sword should be much narrower in my opinion, it should fit much better in the sheath, and the boots should be smooth. Oh, and to be perfect, the right hand should still have vertical movement to make the "By the power of Grayskull" pose accurately! Then, yes, when they make a He-Man with all these corrected details, I can say, "This is now the perfect Filmation He-Man..." Anyway... sorry again for talking so much, but as I mentioned, I'm very detail-oriented... 😂🫣👍🏻... thank you very much for the comments and congratulations on the excellent reviews. 👊🏼 I can't wait for the next one...
@gargermaxpower2408 No problem! The cartoon line is another mixed bag for people from the reviews I have read and responded to. The colors are definitely off from the filmation. I'm not sure if it's a license issue with making figures from the animation or just the way the plastics are mixed at the factory. The Origins and Masterverse figures are hit or miss for many people for all the different reasons you mentioned. I have my complaints too. I'm just happy to see the Motu brand going this strong or still around after 4 years already. I just deal with certain issues, customize things, and if I can or walk away from figures I don't like. It is what it is! Thanks again and take care👍
I am not a fan of the head sculpt but this may be my favorite version of He Man yet.

Everyone has their own personal taste on what the perfect He-man head should look like on certain He-man bodies. I kind of like this newer head for this figure. But many people do not! However, it's still a really cool version of He-man for the Masterverse with the Newer buck, Battle Armor, and wider chest armor that's included. There are so many options now with different He-man heads that can also work on this body. I only showed a few.

Nice review as always my friend, although to be honest i was kinda waiting to see the New Eternia BA He-Man head on this figure, i was very curious how it would look and articulate. Also i have a small request if it is possible, when you will be making the review of Origins Cartoon Teela, please try the head of hers on the second version revelations Teela.

Originally I did try that New Eternia Battle Armor He-man head on this figure right after I showed that comparsion between the two figures BA He-man figures side by side. That small clip was cut in editing because of a problem with the sound. I forgot to bring the head back in later with the head and parts swapping section of my video. That bearded head fits and looks good. I can always take a pic and post it to my Instagram which is easier than making another video. My Instagram profile name is manchild497. I'm trying to finish my Mondo Skeletor review now for some people that wanted to see that. It's a lot work to review Mondo figures. I really don't like getting involved in those because of the size and accessories. Once that's finish. I will get to cartoon Teela and definitely try those head swaps as you asked. I wrote that down to remember!
@Themanchlid Nice to hear that the bearded head fits and looks nicely, i really like this head but sadly the narrow chest on New Eternia BA He-Man it kinda bothers me a lot. This new chest sculpt i think is the best so far. Sadly i don't have an Instagram, (but i have Facebook). Also one more question, if i don't mistaken the movie Masterverse He-Man has the same narrow chest, it is possible some how to take this new one and use it on movie He-Man, or maybe just the equipment, legs, hand?
@@adamtsiolas The narrow chest is a big let down for many people who are use to the vintage or classics Look with the big Bíceps and chest. The Masterverse cuts the Bíceps to add better articulation with the double elbow joints. And of coarse was designed with a smaller chest which I'm guessing had to do with these scaling these 7 inch Masterverse figures with the Modern, Mcfarlane Figures, Gi Joe Classifeds, Neca and DC or Marvel 6 to 7 inch figures that have simular articulation and a slim muscle look. But now the Masterverse line has been popular and going on for a while. So many fans and MOTU collectors are demanding more changes to these figures like certain head sculpts, accessories or things like a larger buck for figures such as He-man. Mattel does listen to the fans on social media from what they said at the Comic con events. As far as mixing that NE larger chest with the movie He-man. I would say you have to strip everything off the Movie He-man and This New Eternia BA He-man and switch the Movie He-man parts to the NE Battle Armor He-man body with the larger chest. Usually Masterverse main body parts are not removable without cutting the body open. I did that once with a spare He-man Masterverse body to see whats inside. The only main parts that are pegged on is the Head, Hands and the Thigh cuts.
@@Themanchlid Thanks for the answer. I have never dismantled a Masterverse figure, i think i saw someone who have change feet by using a hot water, but i' m not sure about hands. I was thinking to buy a few of this and just switch the chests, but sadly here in Greece this figures are not cheap, and messing with them is not a good idea, especially if this parts are not meant to be removable, there is always a good chance to break something or do some damage.
I wonder why they didn't include that piece that goes over the regular Power Harness that Andra gives him that becomes the Battle Armor? Seems like a big oversight after watching the show given how the "Suit up" sequence worked.
Yeah, good point. Many of these Masterverse figures are hit or miss sometimes with the amount of accessories they include. The smaller boxes only get a couple of things included, plus what's on the figure. The larger style boxes like what the New Eternia Whiplash, Beast Man, and Clawful came in always have many more accessories and parts. Thanks for stopping in to check out the review as always 👍

I didn’t mind the original Revelation figure but the yellow skin colour was a little distracting and didn’t look right. This new version is fantastic! I like how he comes with both harness and battle Armor. Only nitpick is his nipples are missing 😂 not good when Skeletek has them! Other than that a great figure I’m looking forward to adding to the collection. Excellent review and mix and match at the end💪

That's why I switched the body and parts over to the Viking Style body with a custom head as I showed. It is strange that the nipples are missing. I didn't even take notice of that, to be honest. I'm just happy to see that larger chest design and newer head on a Masterverse He-man figure. The new Battle Armor and cross Armor are also great pieces to include!✌️

Every time they release a new version of Optimus Prime the Transformers fans say that is the best one ever! @@Themanchlid the first release was absolutely crap! I bought akelegod right from day 1, then skeletor and swapped the head.but the he-man made me feel like the line was dead. Only ones I think Worth having is buzz off and hordak which I need a super 7 style head for.

Thanks for checking out the review! Yes, this is definitely a great Torso, and buck design for a Masterverse He-man. You can put the Movie He-man He-man Head on this body. The colors are close. My movie He-man has custom ramen toys Dolph head, which looks good on most Masterverse bodies. If you wanted the switch parts from the movie He-man to this buck, then you have to do some customization to switch the loin cloths and armor over. The heads and boots are the easier part. It is possible to turn this body into a movie He-man with some work.

How does the Lundgren head from Ramen Toys look on this figure?
I didn't try it, to be honest! You can see that figure sitting in the background. I was trying to focus more on the armor and different He-man figures with a couple of other head swaps. Plus, many people dont have that head as it was a preorder that sold out. But I can say that Ramen Toys' head works perfectly on most Origins or Masterverse He-man bodies. What does the classic origin HeMan head look like on the revolution body?? I heard those heads are a decent scale for it.
Yeah, they work well. I usually show that in most reviews with another He-man or Skeletor variant figure. But I showed it so many times in other videos. Most people prefer the Newer Masterverse He-man Heads on Masterverse bodies. Those heads make the figure feel simpler. It depends on what you're going for with the style. Thanks for watching 👍

I know it’s disappointing not to have the Power Sword, but the back of the box does say this He-Man no longer has the Power Sword, so I guess it’s plot related. Maybe the show will have him try to reclaim or remake it.

I actually think the Revelation He-man head looks better , now that I take a second look. The new Revolution head's jaw is just too overemphasized. The only thing wrong with the Revelation one is the lips aren't coloured. They should have had a tone of pinkish tan lips.
I think this He-man is a much better design and look for the Masterverse series. I like the head sculpt, Larger Chest, Removable Battle Armor, and the wider Cross Armor. I didn't care for the first He-man because of the head and Yellowish Skin. The chest was also a little small. This version of He-man is much better, I think. @GerarRv I already did a Top Ten Favorite Figures hauls for 2023 video before the New years. It had Some Masterverse, Origins, and Neca figures.
At some point, I might make a Masterverse top ten favorites. As far as what figures to own. That's really personal opinion of each collector. I know this from reading both positive and negative comments on videos I make on certain figures I review and personally like. I would say some of the coolest Masterverse figures to pick up now are Meckaneck, Revolution Battle Armor He-man, New Eternia Tri-Klops, and New Eternia Trap-jaw Two Bad. Clawful, Buzz-Off, The Revolution Orko and Gwildor Two pack. Webstor and Barbarian Skeletor. That would be my current top ten suggestions👍

Yeah, as I messed around with later, it loosened up. I usually use a blow dryer off the camera to heat certain figures' joints out of the box to make them move easily. I didn't with this He-man. He was a bit stiff in the arms. But he works well now👍
Not feeling that head you brought out, looked really freaky. lol. The Original Revelation figures were working off early concept art so didn't quite nail the look the new head look much better and I like that they including the other armor to make a better regular He-Man. The Power Sword for this He-Man is he one that came with Orko and Gwildor and I'm surprised you didn't bring it out.
Thanks for stopping in to check out the review as always! I guess everyone has their own personal taste for a perfect He-man head on the figures. I'm always trying to be open-minded and try different things and heads on certain figures. I'm assuming the lack of the power sword has something to do with the Revolution cartoon. I didn't bring Orko or Gwildor in because I don't know anything about their story or that forged power sword yet aside from the bio. Once I see the cartoon, then I'll know more and what's going on with the story and sword.

I would never expect Mattel to release another BA He-Man but I am really glad they did as he is damn good imo. It takes a lot to get me excited about replacing a figure I already have but NE Battle Armor He-Man felt unfinished with that ugly matte grey on his armor.
I even like this head, although it will be promptly replaced with vintage looking He-Man's head from Origins. 🤣
I hear you on that man! I also wasn't sure if I would be excited about a new He-man for the Masterverse in general! But once I got him in hand and really took a look at the New body, Head sculpt and Both armor pieces. I was sold!! He is a much better design for Masterverse. That New Eternia Battle Armor He-man is still kind of cool. I like the head on that one too. I did try it on this New He-man with the Battle Armor on during filming. But I cut that scene in editing because of time and another issue. It also looks good on that body. Putting different He-man Heads on what ever body you want is whats really cool between the Masterverse and Origins line. Most Heads fit or can be customized to fit. Same goes with classics heads. I'm glad hear this new He-man figure got some excitement going in you! That's always a positive thing. Thanks for watching as always 👍
@@Themanchlid I agree that NE BA He-Man was not a bad figure and I also liked that head, it reminded me of King He-Man from classics so I will probably find a way to use it on another figure (if we get royal guards I am using half of the extra heads I have in my drawer on them, they don’t need helmets 🤣 )
The thing is, my standards for Battle Armor He-Man figures are very high, as Battle Armor was the only He-Man I had as a kid, so that emotional connection plays a huge role in this case. 😃 I might try to repaint the gray on the NE armor to get some experience and encouragment for future customs. :)

Battle He-man in the vintage line was also my first He-man because it was hard to find the Original figures when I got into collecting as a kid. They released those main figures for a second run a year later
So I finnaly got the Original He-man and Skeletor ar that point. My best advice is try to find a loose Classics Battle Armor He-man on ebay for the right price. That's as good as it gets with Vintage nastalgia but yet more Modernized. And of coarse there are Classics vintage inspired He-man Heads to put on the body is well. But that gets costly with the Classics.
@@Themanchlid Classics Battle Armor and Snake Armor He-Man are on my shopping list already, but I am looking for good deals. Thanks to the dramatic improvement in Masterverse quality, prices of Classics figures are substantially lower, so holding on feels like a smart thing atm.
The issue with ebay is that good deals on Classics most often come from US sellers and that international shipping is a bitch. Assuming seller ships to Bosnia in the first place. :D

Yes, the Upper Torso or chest is new or larger than the normal Masterverse torsos.
No way you're gonna beat the New Eternia version. I love the older, more mature-looking bearded He-Man. Probably my favorite He-Man figure ever made. And that one came with extra armor pieces & that cool Dragon Walker shield. This new one is like a stripped-down dollar store version with a goofy-looking head sculpt. I won't be wasting my money on this crappy dumbed-down version.
It's also amazing how everybody likes the cartoon Revelation head now. Everybody hated that head up until now. It looks like he's 14 years old. And he's got a massive Transformers:Animated chin going on 22:04.

I appreciate the view and hearing your thoughts on each figure. I never really cared for the first Revelation He-man head. I think this one is a little better. But not perfect! I do like that first New Eternia Battle Armor He-man design and face with the beard! He still stands in front of my collection. He reminds me of king He-man with Battle Armor on. I do like this new Battle Armor set up a little better because of the silver colors and its removable. I guess I like seeing all different types or variants of certain Figures like He-man and Skeletor. I think they are all unique. But of course the favorites are just personal taste.

Yea they needed an improvement over the previous Netflix HeMan and I agree this is better. The removable armor looks great…I may make this my main BA He-Man and just use a different head.

Yeah, they only gave him the axe and armor. I guess the idea was based on his appearance in the Revolution cartoon. You can always use the first release Revelation He-man figure sword and shield if you have him. Or pick up those parts or figure on eBay ot maybe Amazon👌
not a fan of this new chest sculpt :/ I mean, the chest looks OK, but his traps are comically huge... but I could live with those details... what really bugs me is that it looks to me like they had someone just re-sculpt the chest but left the abdomen the same and whoever sculpted the new chest didn't really match it with abdomen :/
his torso doesn't really look homgeneous... it looks like someone put it together from two different action figures :/

to be fair, I do believe this new torso, disjointed as it is, is soo much better than 40th anniversary torso which is, in my opinion, absurdely ugly... especially the chest... it doesn't even look human -.-
the best parts of this figure in my opinion are the battle armor and the head which IS so much better than v1 revelation head and, to my taste, better even than 40th anniversary head.. dunno.. I might buy this figure when/if I find it on a good discount just so I can put together a decent masterverse he-man.. and in the mean time, I guess I'll just have to make my own custom headsculpts for revelation/40th anniversary he-man...

It's really difficult for Mattel to make the perfect modernized He-man to please everyone. We all have certain tastes or that vintage nastalgia idea of the perfect He-man we grew up in the 80s with filmation or the vintage figures. Mattel has done plenty of variants with the Classics, 200x, Origins and a bit in Masterverse to give us a good vintage inspired look but with different sculping designs because of the new articulation that Classics didn't have. The chest design is a little better in my opinion as far as the Masterverse body goes. It's in between the Small Revalation chest and the large 40th chest design. So I think that's a better mix. The new Battle Armor that is removable is also a big plus. I do like the newer head look as well. It's not perfect! But it works👍

I did try the bearded look on this He-man with the Battle Armor setup originally. It looked good. But I cut that part in editing because of a sound issue and time.

Great! So Mattel fucked up the Masterverse wrist pegs & the Origins neck ball joints. Mighty white of them! No more swappable parts. Can somebody please explain what the point of that was? All of that shit needs to stay constant across the entire line.
Well, there's another reason why I'm losing interest in the line. I haven't even bothered to order anything from the past 2 waves except for Mekaneck. I just don't care anymore. They ruined Origins by moving it over to Mattel Creations & Masterverse is stuck in "variant hell" just like 200x was.

The larger pegs are much stronger. I can see the those Origins pegs breaking over time. I broke two already by parts swapping as I always do. And I was careful. Making more Variant He-man, Skeletor or other core characters is nothing new in any toy line. Certainly MOTU going all the way back to the vintage days. We do see a couple of new release figures with each Masterverse or Origins waves. So im happy with that!

@chlid Too many He-Mans & Skeletors is what killed the 200x line. And we can see how poorly MOTU is currently performing at retail. So you can defend Mattel as much as you want but history is on my side. Overall, it's not looking good for MOTU. The line is on life support. It's almost March of 2024 & Turtles Of Grayskull & the Cartoon Collection still aren't in retail stores. Target is just barely getting a few Turtles in. I'm just keepin it real like I always do. Facts & reality are the only things that matter.

As far as the rest of the vintage figures. We got Rokkon. The Extendar is tooled and coming soon. Syclone is also not far. Two Bad was announced. But he will be an SDCC exclusive, which sucks! It is what it is. I'm not a Ninja Turtles collector normally. But I do like the Crossover for Origins. It's not for everyone. I didn't ask for a line. But I do like it. I read and respond to every comment. I can say many people seem to like this turtles line. And others don't. So we will see who wins. Also, I'm not finding these, and so many Origins at retail is nothing new! This has been going on for four years now. But yet the Origins keeps going online. I mean, Mattel put out an Eternia playset. Which is sitting in my living room now in a huge box. I can't get to it right now because of health issues. That probably cost over a million dollars to Tool, Manufacture, tests, distribution, paint, and things like that. So it looks like they still want to put energy into this line.
Classics. Super7 Classics Ultimates.... Those are in a different league altogether. The Masterverse line is good but will remain the poor-er cousin (in comparison)....
I think the Masterverse is a really cool line. But the Classics will always be my favorite as far as looks going back to that vintage inspired design but modernized! If the Masterverse line keeps going. I can see a cat form Catra and Panthor figure down the line. Maybe a Shadow beast as well. I'm guessing they would be part of the New Eternia line. I have no dout Mattel would love to produce and Market those type of figures. But the scale, Sculpts, Tooling, packaging and manufacture costs are extreamly expensive today. The factorys require a minimum Production number of figures or units that Mattel has to pay for. It's hard selling these larger figures at retailers. They don't do well and are always on clearance like the Revalation Battlecat. Only certain collectors picked that up. The rest was a loss of money for Mattel. So thats why we haven't seen many larger figures in the Masterverse line. The other options are selling those figures on Mattel Creations like the vintage Origins will be doing now. So we will see what happens later this year!
I'm willing to bet the lack of a power sword might be tied to a plot element in revolution.
Orko and Gwildor are Upgrading it.
