purplecatlover1825 randompizza I have apologized for saying sorry too much then said sorry for saying sorry and then just hitting myself and saying sorry again.
Something I love about the midwest is that we are so used to seeing stretches of corn for about 40 miles so we can hold our bladder or hunger until the next stopping point *IT'S REALLY USEFUL ONCE YOU ARE OLDER-*
Disappointed - not one mention of "tennis shoes", which is SUUUUPER Midwestern. Also, and I don't know if this is just me, but I've noticed that the most common informal farewell in my area of the Midwest is "Have a good one!"

Puppy chow, lemonade shakeups, and horseshoes are very popular in central Illinois. My friends and I smell like the lake and bug spray in the summer 😂😂😂😂😂

Honestly this is so true! Puppy chow is heavenly, ranch is always in the fridge, bean bag toss is fun unless you suck at it, and it's called pop! -MICHIGAN-
mafiacat88 Some people call pop 'soda' or 'coke'. Usually us Midwesterners call it pop but others call it different things. There's no brand actually called 'pop' btw.

I am an American Harry Potter fan and I am developing my own American version of Harry Potter titled Mary Arianna Smith The Girl Who Lived and I want my version of the Illvermorny School to be as accurate as possible to actual North American cultures and to do much better than Rowling did ! There are way too many Etc Etc’s to cover in a simple comment here but will say that my version of Illvermorny and MACUSA has no Statute Of Secrecy and Magical and Non Magical People are friends but not enemies for the most part and yes you can definitely tell what Magical People from the 5 different Regions of the United States are from they are more different from each than the Non Magic People from the 5 Regions of the United States are from ! And for some trivia Midwestern Witches of European descent often have Red hair, Fair skin tones and Attractive freckles and a very very pretty accent and way of talking and Do Not have hardly any dreams about engaging in The Dark Arts too much and it is the same way with there Midwestern Wizard of European descent counterparts too ! And finally most GOOD Slytherin’s and Pure Bloods come from North America it’s just those European ones that are the Voldemort and Bellatrix types ! Mary Smith is part Slytherin and part Hufflepuff but my version of Illvermorny has no Houses at all ! Let me know what you think about this !
Talia Dgvchhvh Well some people like to do at-home deliveries and for other people after their water breaks it’s just too late and they can’t make it to the hospital and have to do it at the location they’re at.
LOL I love the last one!!! You should have added one more. You should have a job as a waitress and have called your customer "hun" or "sweetie". One thing I LOVE about the Midwest.
I am from Missouri. I did not realize that responding truthfully to "How are you?" was a Midwestern thing!! I didn't realize that we were overly polite/friendly until I moved to Florida and lived there for a few years. People seem much nicer here. Also: I love puppy chow. I do go outside if there's a tornado watch/alert. Nothing over 50 Fahrenheit is cold.
Missouri isn't Midwestern. It's Southern. Except for St. Louis, from what I understand. It was considered historically as a Northern city in the South.
@@karenbartlett1307 Missouri is absolutely Midwestern. It's between the Mississippi and the Rockies, isn't it? People there say, "ope," don't they? Regions overlap. My state is Midwestern, Mountain AND Pacific Northwest. Technically, even Louisiana is in the Midwest.
Lol you forgot about time, I was from Wisconsin and there I noticed that if we say 5 o'clock we meet, by 4:45 we are there. Moving to California, the time is completely different. If they say 5 o'clock we meet that means by 5:30 they maybe on their way lol.

You know you’re from the Midwest when you freak out about your state’s name in a TV show or Movie
no one appreciates the midwest. we are like, the culinary masters of savory.
Unless you're in Chicago. Then you get really tired of it.
Haha you're funny
That's how most southerners feel. Midwestern states are pretty represented in reality competition shows since most Americans live in the midwest
One of the reasons I love How I Met your Mother
I live in Ohio. We had a canned food drive in school. Yeah, no one cared to bring anything in, so they made it an Ohio State vs Michigan canned food drive. Bring in canned food, and write an M or an O on it. So much food got brought in.
That's the most Midwestern thing I've ever read lol
Ava Nicole Yeah! I live in Ohio too!
That is brilliant!
Props to whoever had that idea.
Ava Nicole Ive worked food drives in Michigan and honestly never had a problem with people not bringing any food in
Puppy chow is only a Midwest thing? Wow I feel bad for the people who haven't had it, it's delicious

Puppy chow, lemonade shakeups, and horseshoes are very popular in central Illinois. My friends and I smell like the lake and bug spray in the summer 😂😂😂😂😂
Ascension if this isn’t the truest thing I’ve ever heard in my life idk what is. Plus asking friends to go hangout but just getting in a car and driving around because central Illinois is just fields.
I live in Northern Illinois, it only takes like 40 minutes to get to Wisconsin. Puppy chow and lemonade shakeups are popular here too. Horseshoes are more popular in the country parts of Northern Illinois.
I live in western Indiana and at my fair there are lemon shakeups like in every other stand.

not one ‘ope’ was said in this video. i am upset
Same. Saying ope is a very midwestern thing.
As a person from Indiana, I can safely say that waving to someone and saying "hi" for no reason is very accurate
Same in Michigan.
Yah right! I smile, wave and say hi to EVERYONE.
My husband gets mad at me for always doing this. We girls will talk in the public bathroom stalls too.

Or is pop a specific brand in which case I just missed the point.
Alex Spongy In the south all soda or pop is called 'coke'
"Do you want a coke?... what kind? We have ginger ale, orange, root beer....."
mafiacat88 Some people call pop 'soda' or 'coke'. Usually us Midwesterners call it pop but others call it different things. There's no brand actually called 'pop' btw.
I've never called bean bags "corn holes". Am i a bad midwestern?

Yes.
How about the phrase go ahead. Say your helping someone hitch up there boat. and you say GO AHEAD and back up.

I am an American Harry Potter fan and I am developing my own American version of Harry Potter titled Mary Arianna Smith The Girl Who Lived and I want my version of the Illvermorny School to be as accurate as possible to actual North American cultures and to do much better than Rowling did !
There are way too many
Etc Etc’s to cover in a simple comment here but will say that my version of Illvermorny and MACUSA has no Statute Of Secrecy and Magical and Non Magical People are friends but not enemies for the most part and yes you can definitely tell what Magical People from the 5 different Regions of the United States are from they are more different from each than the Non Magic People from the 5 Regions of the United States are from !

That's actually an extrovert thing. Midwestern introverts aren't so inclined to answer with more than, "Good."
Missouri isn't Midwestern. It's Southern. Except for St. Louis, from what I understand. It was considered historically as a Northern city in the South.
