    actually new studies suggest to apply a moisturizer and let it be absorbed completely then to apply retinol, even dr. dray on youtube said that so it would'nt make your skin drier than it usually is

    If you are not looking for anti aging benefits and have normal to oily skin. Just use the AM (spf 30) and PM moisturizer and the SA cleanser. 3 of them have Niacinamide and Hylaronic acid. Just use these 3 things and just see how your skin changes. CANADA

    Weirdly enough, the Cerave Skin Renewing Night Cream is one of the few creams that sits well under the SPF I have (one from Neostrata that I struggled to use for months because it pills with everything and even waiting 30 mins after moisturizer application).

    Always a pleasure to see your videos , I am new to retinol and I have heard the resurfacing cerave version is more hydrating to skin what are your thoughts
    I am also using glycolic acid ordinary and bha on alternate days can I use these with those ? And how often should I do retinol ?

    • @nandaamaharajh
      @nandaamaharajh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you can use it on your off days from retinol if your skin tolerates it. Retinol it’s advise to start every three days for one month every two days the next month I like to stick to every other day so to say so I can use salicylic acid but with both ingredients please use the moisturizing cream

    • @nandaamaharajh
      @nandaamaharajh 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks!
      You don't want to use Vitamin C with Retinol so keep the Vitamin C in the morning and Retinol at night. You can definitely use the PM moisturizer morning and night but I would suggest using it with the vitamin c.

    It seems you would apply the retinol prior to the ointment; the ointment is occlusive, the retinol is probably not penetrating through that. But maybe that's what you wanted?

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would want to apply the ointment before to prevent the retinol to penetrate that area. I am trying to eliminate certain areas.

      @Nick Meeks don’t skip the moisturizer part for your acne prone areas. It helps to balance the skin in those areas. Too many drying treatments/creams causes your skin to pump out more oil to compensate which only adds to the acne problem.

    In the am:
    CeraVe foaming cleanser
    The ordinary hyaluronic acid
    The ordinary Niacinamide
    The ordinary squalene or "Buffet"
    And CeraVe am moisturizer
    In the pm:
    CeraVe foaming cleanser
    The ordinary 7% glycolic acid toner
    The ordinary squalene
    And CeraVe pm moisturizer
    (And The ordinary AHA 30% BHA 2% once a week)
    I was concerned if I shouldn't mix the glycolic acid with the CeraVe pm moisturizer because it has Niacinamide in it?

      Hi Jesse,
      Your morning and night routine looks great.. You can use the glycolic acid with the Cerave moisturizer and even if you wanted to apply a niacnaimide serum in the same routine as glycolic acid that is completely fine as well...

      Claudia Dorner in my experience no. I have to use something before the Cerave moisture cleanse to get foundation off.

    Do you use anything for your redness? I use products with Azelaic Acid & licorice root for my redness & it helps a lot. Cerave has nothing with those ingredients.

      I find the FAB moisturizers help a lot with that. And the PC Azelaic booster.

      Yeah I know.... But yes I do... I would love to try Azelaic Acid but unfortunately Canadians can't purchase that product in Canada 😔 But I do use Alpha Arbutin, Vitamim C, Retin-A and another product from Peter Thomas Roth which has Niacnaimide in it and tranexamic acid which helps with redness also!

    This is her routine, she's using too many products. Everybody is different.
    I'm oily skin and just use the cleanser SA micellar water, and vitamin C , sunscreen.
    Night time: Cleanser SA, Micellar water, retinol blue bottle.. For anti-aging I use a pea size Roc night cream. Done for the night.
    I have brown spots and some pimples, my skin is getting better, brown spots are fading and less breakouts.
    She's using 2 pumps blue bottle Retinol, is too much.

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't feel like that this was too many products but of course if someone thinks that they don't need to use all of these if they don't want to. This was an example of a routine that someone could use if they wanted to use the Cerave line. The "Blue" bottle was not retinol by the way it was the Hyaluronic Acid serum and 2 pumps is not a lot when it comes to this product. With Retinol you only need 1 pump or (pea size) amount which is what I applied in this video (purple tube).

    I can not use Cerave do to the ingredient methylparaben. It blistered my face. It caused rash, burning, swelling, and flaking in my face.
    What does methylparaben do to the skin?
    Cancer: Applying personal care product containing parabens-especially -can lead to UV-induced damage of cells and disruption of cell proliferation (cell growth rate). Daily application, in particular, can lead to increased concentrations of because it is not completely metabolized.
    I can not use Cerave do to the methylparaben.

    Hi! I have recently started adding cerave products to my night routine. after years of expensive brands for my nightly routine, a friend got me hooked on cerave face wash for the last year and i love it. Recently I've started using a few other cerave products and I've followed this video but still afraid I'm doing too much product or wrong order.
    **at night I bought and started to use:
    cerave hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin, then I started using these at night but not sure what order I should use in:
    💠cerave eye repair cream
    💠cerave skin renewing gel oil
    💠cerave skin renewing retinol serum
    💠cerave skin renewing nightly exfoliating treatment
    💠skin renewing night cream
    **for days I bought and started to use:
    💠cerave skin renewing vitamin c serum
    💠PM facial moisturizing lotion (used to use estree lauder day wear moisturizer)
    is all of this too much? unnecessary? what order?

      Hello! I also switched to CeraVe from Lancôme which contains so much fragrance and gave me so much irritation! My skin really does wonderful with CeraVe. Looking at your products, you must include the CeraVe Healing Ointment for anytime and the CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen for your DAY routine. This entire line is wonderful and I will never go back to using anything else! My skin deserves nourishment. 😉
