Great video with great information. Turtles are awesome pets. I am allowed one tank. Before, I went nuts with both African and South American Cichlids and 3 different turtle types. I was literally moving furniture out and moving fish tanks in. The wife put a stop to my obsession soon after! Can't decide what I want in my one tank..
Newbie here, How do you go about getting the correct parameters - nitrate, nitrite ammonia, ph, im interested in getting into the hobby but worries about not getting the right levels. Also is it difficult in cleaning the tank, especially with algae build up. And what csnister filter is recommended
My tank is about 1ft and a half, and about 30 cm deep, would that be okay for a baby turtle? Otherwise I have a 4 foot 1 foot deep tank with American cichlids they could go in but I don’t think it would work
They are adorable. That tank will keep them happy for long time. Did the small one make it? Hope so you take such good care of your animals. GOD BLESS frim America 🐢💖🐢💖🐢💖🐢💖🐢💖
Nice set up, they will thrive in there 🐢

Awesome setup ! I probably missed it but where did you get the heat lamp from ?
It’s just a Phillips flood light from Bunnings 👍. Checkout my recent reptile lighting video to get more details on all things lighting

excellent lil vid, do you use the one lamp for heat and uv, do you uva and uvb?
Tube lamp has uva and uvb
Mate I just leave my hose in the bucket and the dirty water just keeps flowing out. Alot less hassle
Awesome setup! Was wondering what brand of canister filter you used for this setup?
Thanks heaps! It doesn't have to be anything crazy In this I'm just using a Pro Aqua 1500L/H Canister Filter
I have a pink belly side neck he is about two months old
When should I be noticing growth ? He is supposed to grow 1 inch a year.
What kind of filter do you use or recommend?
Why the water before aquascaping? I never really considered it before
Doesn’t matter what order you do it just as long as the tank is cycled before the turtles go in👍

Hi! Maybe I missed it, but whats the size of the tank?
Hey this one is a 4ft tank! You could do smaller for turtles this young but I like to give space!
@@coopsreptiles2588 thanks for the reply! Of course, bigger the better, right? Are you going to separate them in the future or they stay this small?
@@maxrudenko5775 No they are only hatchlings. most have gone to new homes and the rest will soon!
Is there a way for Americans to purchase/export Australian turtles like macleays?
