Well. If I'm being fair, I like the official sidemen clothing edits. But that's because they feel hyped because of the music. Look at the most recent one. I always watch the whole edit because the music is mad and the edit looks sick. Hype videos do good. But I also like slower one's, slower one's fit the brand better, like in a shop, that's the one that should be played

Hey, I'm the guy who did the first edit and just want thanks Kon so much! These editing challenges have really boosted my confidence, and let's be honest, being 16 and having the fucking sidemen reacting to something you made, no matter what they think of it, is kinda mad. I've made so many friends (including a couple of the people in this video, and hope to make many more! I've somehow managed to get into every editing contest video so far, tbh I don't think that my 1st edit deserved it anymore lol. But, I rly hope it doesn't end here!! Thanks again kon, and thanks for reading this drivvel 😅

@@stylebreaks757 I know what you're saying, but talent still is a thing. For example, you see kids who are naturally better at singing, or drawing, or sports. But just like all talent, it's pretty much meaningless once you're out of school, if you don't put in the practice to sharpen your craft. I'd call people who put in the work & practice, 'skilled' rather than 'talented', just so there's the distinction. Hope my pov makes sense now

The one Kon called Adidas level is the best imo. The second one had a bit too much transitions and it takes away from the clothing imo. While the ''Adidas'' one kept the focus on the clothing well but also managed to edit the footage in a wild way without taking away from the clothing. It was shorter but I felt like I could pay more attention. It would work great as an Instagram/TH-cam advert. Short but sweet and looks amazing. It also looked the most professional imo.

It felt like an Instagram clip and I mean that in the nicest way possible. It was short, to the point, and the edits make you say “wow” without being too all over the place. Plus the grunge feel with the graffiti and lofi beats really hit in terms of what I see sidemen clothing as.

@@__vx3 I just watched it again and I think the thing I like most is that it doesn't overstay its welcome, it focusses on the clothing and while it still has a lot of effects, it doesn't take away from the brand and clothing. While in the others you have people teleporting and adding a whole narrative or having all kinds of flashy effects that make the clothes disappear. The ''Adidas/Nike'' advert puts the brand and clothing in the middle and the effects lift them up. While in the others it feels more like the editors are showing off how much effects they can fit into a few seconds.

the jack omo one is the best imo. he took a different approach in the fact he tried to keep it light and up beat. a lot of the other ones where flashing neon lights and with dark gloomy settings with music to match. loved how unique his one was
first of all, these edits are insane. second, kon providing these opportunities for aspiring editors is so admirable on his part. third, imagine the honor it holds for the sidemen to watch your edits and consider paying you for your work. big up the editors man, well done!

I really enjoyed the second one like how Simon, Harry and JJ did but seeing those just shows how much of a beginner I am at editing. I only really know the basics: adding and removing clips and music, adjusting the volume and putting in some text. I would love to participate in a beginner's editing challenge to see how I compare to other new editors.

Why are people hating on Simon for saying the truth. They are there to say their opinions and critise what they don't like not faking it and saying nice things just to please others. Also jj did the same but no one is hating on him.
Yeah you can be honest but he knows how much effort has gone into this, but still wants to give them a 3 and immediately say he doesnt like it. Could be a bit nicer about it.
@@reaperxi-0382 jj was the one that gave a 3. Effort doesn't have anything to do with the judgment it's like saying that a football player shouldn't get criticised because he train a lot. Also being nice and lying doesn't help them they need the truth to see what they should do next time and improve themselves
