This video encapsulates all that is bow hunting perfectly. The passion, the sharing of the passion, the mishaps from misses to hats falling, the second chances, the praying, the celebration, and the love for the animal. Best hunting video of the year on all of TH-cam hands down. Congratulations to you both.
Dude I'm not going to lie it's a tearjerker man especially when you just said I prayed all day seeing you two together Celebrate life together man cherish every moment
Awesome! A GENUINE wall hanger. How you got it together and made a second killer shot was fantastic. 👍👍 Isn't it crazy how that adrenaline will eat you up? As an old old bow hunter I am so glad for the two of you having these wonderful adventures together. Think of the possibilities ahead. The sky is the limit. 👍👍
Every hunt is a different adventure and a learning experience. Patience truly is a virtue and Thank God you walked a little farther to find him. Congratulations.
This is / was so awesome! God is good all the time; all the time He is good. Recovery or not this was awesome to watch you guys together. Congratulations!!!
Awesome young lady, thats exactly how its supposed to feel, respect earned, sub earned when ya said im sorry to that buck. We try our best to make it quick for these deer we love so much...and when its not, it sux, and its supposed to hurt, and cost us sleep, and bring you close to quittin, but just close, as my grandpa told me 50 odd years ago, if it dont hurt boy , ya aint a hunter, ya just like killing things, thats the gentle version, for me, as his grandson, It was , if it dont hurt boy, ya aint a hunter, ya just a murderer...im glad it worked out. One day if you bowhunt enough, it wont work out, when that time comes, its easier on you if you know you didnt try to shoot to far, or to fast trying to not let him "get away " , then, Give it everything you have to find him, let it burn inside you, and let the desire to NEVER feel that again drive you to be the best archer you can be, set rules for yourself, and NEVER break them, for if you do....we are usually reminded why we set those limits to begin with. Welcome to the family young lady, awesome buck,
What an adventure, glad you got him guys, what a beautiful family and your love for the Lord is a great role model. Thanks for sharing and congratulations
Now this is what hunting is all about! loved every minute of it, great job. Josh tried to put you on point though by saying he was 25yards to get your arrow a little higher, you quickly corrected him by saying "no he's 20" lol
Hahaha I know. I did my due diligence memorizing all my range reference points on the plot prior to deer movement and knew that spot was closer to 20. The last thing I wanted was for me to be drawing back second guessing my yardage. It ended up being 21 yards, but I did aim low and hit low! Lesson learned!
This was my first video I’ve watched of yours, you have a subscriber for life! I felt every emotion in this video. God is good! Congrats on a Beautiful buck
Congratulations Rachel, that is one big beautiful buck. I’m 62 years old been hunting since I was maybe 40 I’ve never killed a buck that size. His body is huge. But we mainly hunt in Florida and South Carolina so the deer there aren’t really that big. My husband always tells me it will happen one day. I’ve killed a lot of deer and we mainly hunt for meat but man, I’m telling you it would be nice to have a big old wall hanger. As you call it, king of the double wide, ha ha ha ha. We’re planning a trip trip to Oklahoma this year so who knows maybe for my 63rd birthday it’ll finally happen, good Lord willing but congratulations again on a very beautiful buck. God bless you both.
I can see Christs love through your hunting, through the way you treat each other and through your stories. Keep glorifying God and don’t stop filming your hunts!!
The emtion that shows when a big deer goes down says it all. We are hunters but showing that emotion also shows how much respect we have for these animals. Great job on an amazing hunt!!!
AMAZING ADVENTURE! What a nerve racking hunt! Now that’s a really good buck too. I can relate to that first arrow in the dirt and what it does to you. CONGRATULATIONS young lady on a really good buck. 👍👍🔥 and an awesome video
Congratulations on your harvest. Rachel. Amen 🙏 in October/27th/2024. My first 4x4 whitetail buck 🦌. And I seen a lot of bucks at our cabin. Awesome 👌.
What an incredible story! It was so cool to see you rely on your faith and look for what God has for us in each situation. Well done and congrats on a great deer!
Congratulations Rachel what a great buck. Yes the shot was low but y'all kept after him and made a good recovery against very steep odds. God honored your persistence. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Was watching another vid and this one popped up so I watched it and glad I did, just loved the down the earth feel of you guys and everything! Congrats on a beautiful buck!
I've got to say I'm New hear this is the most exciting and craziest hunt I've seen o TH-cam in a while I know you're nerves had to be completely shot I'm so happy for you great video may the lord continue to bless both of y'all congrats again can't wait to see what's next
Congrats on an amazing buck! Best video I have seen in a very long time! He's going to look great on the wall for you guys and your families to enjoy! New sub here!!!
That wasn't a bad shot, it was the angle u had in that treestand . It was just low because of that steep angle. Always aim where u want your exit to be. Great Job and congrats on a beautiful buck.
Great video awesome experience congratulations, I can’t believe how different your white tails are where your hunting I am from Canada And if you hit a deer here or miss and hit the ground you’ll likely never ever see him again never mind get a second shot and then you dropped your hat again here every deer including the Buck would’ve been gone in a heartbeat, I’ve never seen A Buck stick like that it’s amazing so you just never know great persistence on your part
It’s a shame that you lost the meat but most hunters have made a bad shot from time to time. If they say they haven’t they are probably lying. At least you kept looking until you recovered him. Congratulations, it’s a beautiful buck.
I was doing good until Rachel said “I’m sorry I didn’t make a better shot” to the buck. Congratulations on a beautiful buck Rachel! Definitely a rollercoaster of emotions…. But it shows the respect we have for the animals we chase.
We took all of the meat and quartered it to hang in a walk in cooler. We weren’t sure if it would be good being that it got to 91 degrees that day so we cut off a section of backstrap the next day and cooked it up. Unfortunately, the meat was not edible and we had to give it back to Mother Nature.
This was just over 24 hours after the shot. Unfortunately, we saved and processed all of the meat, but it was not edible once we cooked it. It was very warm being in early October, so it didn’t take long for the meat to spoil.
It's so awesome to see people with faith and who are not afraid to show it. Great video and congratulations Rachel!
Thank you!

Awesome video. I am trying to get my wife into bow hunting for moments like this
That's awesome! Hopefully, she gets hooked!
In Maine, we say he's a corkuh. Nice deer nice hunt. How it should be done.

Do you have a range finder? I was very surprised with the first shot being a complete miss. Cheers to your successful recovery. 🍻😎
What a stud buck, what did he weigh ?
We didn’t weigh him, but I’d guess around 250lbs based on how hard he was to get in the truck! Haha
Congrats Rachel............
Awesome!
Awesome 😢😅!
Long-arming it like a pro!
What release is she shooting?
Stan Element
👍👍🦌
It's very rare to see a buck die with his eyes closed. That big boy clearly died in his sleep.
That big thing is a STUD HORSE..what a body!
Did y'all get to keep any meat nice buck an good video

if that was like 2 days after the shot, was the meat still edible? Alot of flys there evenat night

Does her tag state Nebraska Buck or Nebraska Monster 😇
It looks like to me you hit a Touchback and low I mean the liver is usually up high right
Look like to me you smoked him baby just a touch low but man it looks really good
So I guess the shock just kind of went right through the bottom of the brisket
Josh are your arms and ribs okay now 😭
Boom
