Sorry to sound despondent but I’m losing faith in Instagram regarding art . The algorithms are being manipulated to feed a ‘common denominator’ audience . Social media Art is someone using sprinkle glitter and plastic plates . Of course that is art too. But blood sweat and tears artists are being cast aside . Boo hoo, woe is me ..!
Hi Joe, I'm sorry you feel that way! And I completely respect your opinion here too. I have a different experience and absolutely think you can have a very positive experience as any type of artist on Instagram, so long as you are clear on your audience, (and they are actually on Instagram), you provide consistent valuable content for them, and you follow the 5 things I speak about here in this video. I also think it's advisable to remember that what you see and what your audience sees are two different things. At the end of the day, you don't need a platform like that to be a successful artist!! 😉
