The Light Rail system needs all new cars and other work. Public transportation ridership in the Baltimore area is down. The Key Bridge must be replaced. The Northeast Amtrak tunnel needs replacement. The State Transportation Agency is $3 billion in the hole and Governor Less and Mayor Useless want a new East-West multi-billion dollar rail system that benefits only a few. Do either of these two idiots THINK before they come up with these grandiose ideas? I don't think so.

New transit increases tax revenue, it will likely pay for itself I'm tax revenue alone. As for the key bridge, that's going to be done with federal funding, not MD funding. Also, having increased tax revenue from higher paid workers being able to reach Jobs would likely help us start catching up. I'm highly paid and I would personally use this line just to get out of the terrible downtown traffic. Speaking of, this could even spark new hotels spawning off the line to bring tourists into Camden yards and the Ravens stadium. I see only upsides.

@@kunof2074 yes so long as the upkeep is held up, it helps give more opportunities. They also need to keep up elevators and input systems to notify if elevators are down, this would greatly help handicapped individuals.
