It’s like he is say the he can’t, physically and emotionally fight him. He can’t physically cause of the blood pact (pact?) and emotional because of how close they used to be.
Well, he does care. Why didn't he destroy the blood pact if he doesn't care? And the scenes with Scamander... Maybe I interpret too much into them, but he seems jealous.
@@ThisJasch he didn't destroy the pact because he knows dumbledore is stronger than him so if he wants to fight him, grindelwald will lose. He was actively looking for the obscurus so it can kill dumbledore and then no one will be able to stop him. I'm hoping for a good portrayal of their relationship because it's tragic but let's not twist stuff
@@nolonger2885 Well i think Gellert ist slightly stronger because of the Wand. I know Albus beats him in the end. But i like to think that he hisitate and let Albus win. I know it's just my head cannon but I like it.

@@nova278 it's implied, but no where does it say Grindlewald is gay. Dumbledore is waving a flag, but it doesn't show Grindelwald's relationship to Albus
Maybe Grindelwald was gay and just didn't want to show it but maybe with Dumbledore, he did show his feelings. Don't forget Rowling didn't give us much details about Dumbledore and Grindelwald's relationship together, we have to make guesses on what we see on the films. And what I see is both of them liking each other but had to keep it a secret
