NOTE: I forgot to place starting concessions. Each banker card has a printed shield between two map cards, and that is where each controlling player places a concession at the start of the game.

Excellent introduction. I think it is the perfect key to open the rulebook, or the perfect preface to a teaching game. And I know it required a lot of skill and even more work to put everything upside up.

Thanks for the suggestion! I am working on a video about An Infamous Traffic right now as well as a mini documentary on worker placement games, but that's certainly something I can try to put together too. The one-shots can certainly be a bit obtuse!

I love the music, it's very relaxing and helps you get in the proper mood ;). Great job with the video. What brand are those black/white back sleeves? I thought they only come in the CCG size those are standard american. ;)

I think you should make a follow-up video to this one. You explain things very clearly, so a lot of people could use your help with understanding how regime change works and how some of the one-shots work. The basic 6 actions are actually simple to understand, the complexity lies in understanding the interrelations between the one-shots and the state of the board.

@@bushibayushi I did a similar strategic overview for John Company and intend on doing something like that for this as well. You are certainly correct in that the game has a lot of difficult interactions and game states! I think half the fun is figuring all of those out for yourself, but a little push in the right direction can absolutely be helpful.

When placing the levy with tax you get to choose yhe religion of the piece correct?

A "levy" is always placed to match the unit printed on the map. So if it's a white knight space you must place a white knight if you are granted a levy.

Very nice and informative video, I subscribed. The sleeves gave the cards a very faded look and diminished color, maybe remove the sleeves for video demonstration purposes (then quickly get them back on). Thanks.

Good video, but that's only the very basics. Also, the music is nice but a bit too loud imo.

Thanks! Yeah the intention was to make a non-comprehensive overview of the game. I find that rattling off all of the rules and exceptions in a video is often too much to keep in your head, and ends up losing some focus. I personally like to learn with a rules video getting me 80% of the way there, and using the book to figure out the rest as I play.
And yeah sorry about the music. It didn't seem so high in the mix when I was cutting everything together, but it ended up louder than anticipated. I'll shoot for quieter next time!
