The biggest mistake arteta made at buying or selling a player has been emi martinez. The man is the best goal keeper in the world right now. Raya is a good keeper but doesn't feel me with any confidence whatsoever . A striker this summer should be a non-negotiable. I am srangely not disappointed to be out of the competitions as I felt that would flatter Arteta too much. He is a good tactician, but tactics take you only so far. It is time even he acknowledged that we simply lack the quality.
We can not keep 'making up', we are quarter final quality, but the Semis require a combination of technical excellence and all-around player quality. Accept it and make the investments needed. This team has the defense and midfield to win anything, bar our LB and perhaps some midfield depth, of course, but we are almost there. The attack, though, we need it amped up, a killer. Gyokyeres should be the riskiest we go, but I would go all out for an Isak or something. Someone who needs just a sniff to destroy you.
We are back in the December form before Dubai break, this is very concerning for the remaining games in the Prem.
