When I cook turkey I use a roasting bag and I flip the turkey so the breast is facing down in the pan. That way when it cooks it soaks up some of the juices and it ends up being fall off the bone tender and very flavorful
Our family always has saag paneer with our thanksgiving dinner in place of regular creamed spinach. We love it and the spices really compliment roasted turkey so well.
you should try your grocery stores like Safeway, Walmart from what I seen you get the same amount or more of food for $89.00 . I my self go for our little town grocery store for $25.00. turkey, green beans, stuffing, mashed pot, gravy, and pumpkin pie and a bottle of cider. Green bean casserole MAKES the meal for me. But it can't be anything fancy. Just canned green beans, canned cream of mushroom, and French's onions on top. I couldn't have thanksgiving without it!!!
I also prefer SPAM to ham and always have an emergency can or six in the pantry. Born and raised in Hawaii, but I moved to the east coast for college and stayed. In Canada we'd add turkey dinner poutine, basically poutine with turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Poutine being french fries, with cheese curds and gravy on top.
Great video ladies! The W-S and H&D are 10/10 in my book, I have had both. The Eat Clean Bro is a cool idea for single people on a diet. The Paleo one can go in the trash in my opinion. This was interesting to watch! I'm a nurse and work ridiculous hours and almost all holidays too.. so, for the past several years, I've ordered Cracker Barrel's heat-n-serve Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. They are always excellent for what you get, the price and the convenience! I think it usually costs me about $120 +/- and it's enough for like 8-10 people, with some leftovers usually too! I wish I had time to make everything homemade myself, brine my turkey for 24 hours and do it "my way," but I just don't have the time to spend 2 days cooking anymore and Cracker Barrel has been my saving grace... just wanted to share that tip to anyone who needs a more affordable, easy way to feed 8-10 people with the least amount of effort. I'd rate it a 8.5/10. They have turkey for Thanksgiving and a half bone-in ham for Christmas usually.. definitely would recommend for the price, quantity and the quality! Thanks again for sharing these companies that I never really looked into, because I've been so happy with Cracker Barrel!
