The workmanship on this project is amazing. The patience and sheer dexterity results in a strikingly beautiful completed representation of this iconic plane.
So. You took a basic kit and remade 70% of it. Awesome job sir. I love the plane and you did an amazing job. Thanks for sharing dude totally enjoyed watching it. Subbed
For weathering effects I had quite an experience. After painting only the fuselage I had to take a break building it. My 3 year old boy found it and played with it for months without breaking anything. And voila, the weathering effect was more than perfect.
I'd like to see a LOT more video and photos of the finished model at the end. That's not nearly long enough and you're covering the screen with another video. You did such an incredible job I'd like some time to really study the finished product.
I like the use of the rubber masking fluid, I never thought to try it that way for chipping effects. I'm currently building a Dauntless dive bomber, 1/18 scale from I Love Kit.
I would have dry brushed the wires. And not necessarily the color they are in a reference picture. Just to bring out the fact that they are metal wires I think I would have went with copper maybe. But this is all just my opinion. You did an amazing job, I'm very impressed. This is an award winning job you've done here.
Kermit weeks just received his a-26 from restoration, neat youtube video where he is going through the cockpit controls. The big lever is to pump up the hydraulic system. A very complicated cockpit, nice work showing all the details. Thanks for sharing.
Very impressive, and I think some of the extra detailing work on the interior and esspecially on the engines would work well on my larger Star Wars models. Like for example a Y Wing where you have so much of the engines exposed, and the weathering on your model is exceptional.
Some people might get confused with " B-26". There was the first B-26 of WWII. Before the war ended, another " 26" was born. It was a bomber...But to avoid confusion, the new 26 was designated as the A-26 for " attack" . After the war the first 26 was removed from service and the A-26 was redesignated B-26. I saw one, while temporary duty at Hickam AFB, 1966. It was headed for south east asia.
Fabulous interior work. Bob Steinbrunn called it "creative gizmology". "Approximating' is going to have to work, you have done it admirably. On the other hand, one might expect more from today's modern kits in the interior detail department. ICM in particular has very sparse interiors, especially on their 1/32 kits.
Thanks, i like how "creative gizmology" sounds :) I have no Idea why some manufacturers leave so much room for improvement, I guess it is made for the aftermarket to stay in business :)
Outstanding but, if I may, you will not find twisted cable on aircraft, I’m an ex RAF electrical technician and have made and installed wiring harnesses. I have no doubt if you look hard enough you will find the odd example but in general, wiring isn’t twisted
Spectacular job! I love how much care you take. I'm confused by the designation. I have only seen "B-26B-50" in reference to the Marauder, while this seems to be an A-26 Invader (which I understand was redesignated "B-26" after the retirement of the Marauder). Can you clarify this?
What a stunning and beautiful plane, though it is not as fateful as a real one so only 9 rivets out of 3 Napalm tanks for the score. Jokes aside awesome work, probably one of the best B-26's.
I loved watching this, thank you for all the work that went into the model and creating the video. Might I ask what masking film you used when you were creating the insignia? Thank you again.
@@MMScaleModels Ah, thank you. I thought it was a type of frisket film. Again, I appreciate being able to see your process, and the finished model looks wonderful.
Stunning, beautiful work. However we get virtually no time to enjoy the finished model which is obscured by text and videos at the end. In the future please take time to share plenty of footage of your model. Thank you.
After the B-26 Marauder was retired from the inventory (The USAAF/USAF literally couldn't be rid of the Marauder fast enough) in 1948 the Douglas A-26 was redesignated the B-26 Invader though its retirement in 1965.

Beautiful job on the model. But it is not a B-26, it's a Douglas A-26 Invader, a different aircraft. The B-26 Marauder was made by Martin Aircraft. Again, a wonderful job.
Technically, both are correct. The Marauder was phased out pretty quick after WW2, and when the USAAF became the USAF, a lot of designations changed. The A-26 Invader became the B-26 Invader.
Sorry, but it is the best job I've seen on a B-26 Invader model. Spectacular.
😁 Thanks mate 👍

The kit is pretty decent just lacks details in a few areas
I am watching "a masterpiece" of many talents coming together. Excellent work
Yhank You very much 👍
Great build, the painting is incredible, and the weathering is great!
Thanks you!
Very nice detailing. Nice airplane B-26B 50 i like this airplane so far. Fantastic. ❤😊👍🤗☺️🇺🇸
Thanks Neil, it is a nice plane indeed!
Absolutely amazing work. You are a true master.

I like this plane turbo prop very nice. Wonderful work on model. ❤😊👍🤗☺️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank You!
Excellent work, makes me want to start the B-26K I have
It is a very decent kit
I'm a die hard fan of painting markings. Lovely build!
Thank you! I am also a fan of painting the markings although it must be said some decals are pretty good.
Exceptional work.
Thank You 👍
I will be applying some of the techniques you've shown here to my scale RC crawler. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Cool, have fun.

Very, very nice. All the detail was good but the paint, weathering, & finishing are exceptional.
Thanks a lot!
Beautiful Wowzers!!!

Beautifully done, you sir are a true craftsman!

Lots of time and patience for this fantastic build
Indeed a lot of time went in :)
"I'm sure you will tell me about it in the comments anyway" Hahahaha. Beautiful model, great job.

Often times people try to correct me that this is not B-26. It is easy to get confused.

Excellent job!

Love the wire work.
I haven't done a lot yet, but am looking forward to it.
Cheers
Thanks mate, have fun 👍
Excellent work!
One suggestion, electrical wiring bundles are not twisted on aircraft.
Thanks 👍, yeah I know but that's all one big approximation
Very nice mate the aircraft looks well used and business like . Nice one Steve U.K.
Thanks mate!
I wish I had just a tenth of that skill that he has yes it's the best B-26 I've ever seen
It is all obtained trough miserable fails, unsuccessful experiments and quite a few ruined kits :)
I couldn't said that better myself and you're right a lot of failures and mistakes
Excellent works! Master piece!
Do you make the masks (stencils) by yourself? Can you teach us how to do that? (Are they laser cut?)
Thank you, the masks are from a company kitmasx, you can find a link in the description.
Un travail colossal ❤, chapeau bas maître maquettiste 👍👍😍😍🇫🇷
Thanks mate 👍
Perfect build 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Excellence as standard. Again and again. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks mate 👍
What type of camera do you use to make the image look so good?
I used Nikon D3200 DSLR camera but this is a composite image of about 10 pictures using the focus stacking technique.
Outstanding but, if I may, you will not find twisted cable on aircraft, I’m an ex RAF electrical technician and have made and installed wiring harnesses. I have no doubt if you look hard enough you will find the odd example but in general, wiring isn’t twisted
I know, but it is much easier to do.

Thank you, yes after the marauder was decommissioned Invader got it's designation and became the B-26.
Painted marking vs. decals is certainly a better option
Amazing video! Thank you for that!

Impeccable detailing.
....очевидное мастерство!-классс!.....
Thank you!
great job, what a masterpiece! May I ask what pencil did you use for weathering?
Thanks, I used a set from AK for green vehicles, silver from prisma color and a light gray from cretacolor.
😱👍🏻 Amazing work my friend
Thanks mate!
Stunning!

What a stunning and beautiful plane, though it is not as fateful as a real one so only 9 rivets out of 3 Napalm tanks for the score.

😁 thank you
Do you wait for the paint to dry after applying hairspray or weather it while still wet?
Yes, I let the paint cure.
awesome!
Thanks mate 👍
Professional 👍
Thanks!
that is incredible
Thanks mate 👍
Just....perfeckt!!!! 👍🥇🏆

I loved watching this, thank you for all the work that went into the model and creating the video. Might I ask what masking film you used when you were creating the insignia? Thank you again.

Hello, that camera do you use for your recording? Excellent Model.
Thanks, in the beginning of this build I was using an old canon legria camcorder, then I switched to my phone galaxy s9
Wonderful ❤👍👏
Thanks mate 👍
Fantastic build thank you
How many hours did you put into this model?
I have no Idea... many 😃. I worked on it for more than one year. But also I had other projects running alongside.
Beautiful 😊
Thank You!
Muito legal , a ideia de detalhes excelente
❤Verry nice build
Thank you 👍
Marvellous!😃😃
Thanks mate 👍
WOW
👍
Very nice build, no such thing as 'overweathered' especially this era of aircraft! Well done sir!
Thanks mate 👍
Whatever they called the A-26 Invader later, it was never the Martin B-26 Marauder that my grandfather flew as an instructor in WW II.
You are right, it was called Douglas B-26 Invader :)
Is there a safe way to ship a completed model?
By car... maybe. The venue of our local show is about 5 minutes away from my studio and I still get some damage every now and then.
that was bril
Thanks mate 👍
Stunning, beautiful work. However we get virtually no time to enjoy the finished model which is obscured by text and videos at the end. In the future please take time to share plenty of footage of your model. Thank you.
I will do so

Your kit is a A26 Invader. Not a B26 Marauder. Nice build
Thanks, it is neither of those. It is B-26 Invader.
