Amen I’m 16 but that’s not how you get closer to God, yes Christians should read the bible and pray but that’s not how you get closer to God. GOD doesn’t look at your works and what you do he looks in your heart if you are desperate and you put effort into getting closer to God
If you want to get closer to God then ask him to get closer to you and make sure that you genuinely want to get closer to him and seek him with all your heart. Reading the bible doesn’t get you closer to God although praying kind of does because praying is just speaking to God and that’s really to important.

Guys I actually have a dream it is to become a hero and i am 12years old and the reason for this is because I have seen people they spoke bad word's do sexual sins insult others and even they made fun of me 😢 and I got hurt by that and also there were people in thr school who bullys others and show their power unnecessarily to show that they were strong also I have seen people suffering and getting discriminate my others and I wanted to get stronger which motivated to believe in God more I don't used to care about God but now I am starting to have faith in him and I train everyday day to get strong be it physically or spiritually I just don't wanted to suffer and I din wanted to see people suffer and protect the weak one's and I want to really help people with heart ❤❤ but I never get a chance so this is my comment

The Bible is extremely depressing. Wonderful at times but also depressing. There's way too many serious stories and not a lot of smiles and happy stories. Movies about God is better. I agree that the serious hard work is so important and yet so is the happy stuff. And there are chosen people who will go to heaven without ever touching a bible. So you can't say that they "have to" read a bible. Valuable book but it really depresses me. Remember, the bible is NOT a HAVE TO. It's definitely helpful at times.
No it’s not a have to but it’s a MUST to understand God and to hear his voice. Trust me I’m 14 I HATED reading the bible, like you thought it’s boring and depressing but I started in the beginning. Once I read my Bible every morning for a week I started to think, act, say, do, things differently(in a good way) and I’ve started getting closer to Gods and have a better relationship and understanding of him. It’s not about you have to your not forced to but…..it’s a choice and it might be hard at first (trust me I know) but it’s worth it
Ever since I started reading my Bible and praying every day, it’s made such a difference in my life. I’m closer to God, I can talk about Him to others and pull directly from his word, and I’m overall happier. And now that I do it every day, I don’t want to stop! 10/10 would recommend making reading the Bible and praying a part of your daily routine, even if it’s just a verse to start!
Sorry, respectfully, i disagree! I don't have a real Bible sadly, but i dó believe in Him, in Jesus, & i am a new Christian since December last year on Christmas Day the First on that morning, i had an anxiety attack & started praying for no reason suddenly, & i felt Him!!! Véry strongly, & since then, my anxiety attacks are less, Praise Him Jesus, He became my Saviour & i dón't need a Bible now to tell me that ok, however, if i ever can get my hands on a real Bible, i will buy it, but pls, again, respectfully, some people can find Him without The Bible ok.

I feel afraid. Sometimes I'm worried so much about whether or not I'm going to heaven that I only put work into my relationship with God so that I do make it to heaven. But I know that's not why I should be praising Him. Can someone offer advice to me for how to have a real meaningful relationship with God? ❤
God is how you grow close to God - not studying. God can use that, but I've known a lot of biblical scholars and theologians where God is but a mustard seed (which is enough in this world, but not all that is possible - ask any mystic)

Yeah, and we have to learn to enjoy reading the Bible. It’s about consistency. Reading 1 chapter a day helps.

Thankyou friend, it really helps me❤ before i read the Bible i ask first for the holy spirit to let me understand this verse and meditate this verse.. After that i found verse that God spoke about me and im so very happy that i can build relationship with GOD💓
