O'm a little confused...can you only use Serato on this unit with a laptop? Or can you upload Serato dj pro on to the hardware? And if so, why wasn't this shown!? I'm a long time Serato user and whilst I'd like to get to know rekordbox, my preference is to stay with Serato.
It uses software so yes it has to be plugged in to function with Serato…or you can play standalone with usb stick and no laptop needed.
Only Rekordbox inside this unit. Huge bummer.
When using this controller with Serato, I can’t seem to quantize the effects, so you always have to adjust the msecs. Is there a way to quantize the effects? Otherwise they sound off beat
So, Pitch 'n Time works with this controller?
Even tough Pioneer didn't add key sync?
Or was this hardware limitation just overlooked when talking aboout the others?
Hey, Pitch 'n Time DJ may be used with any supported hardware but the hardware may not have dedicated controls for it - In this case, MIDI mapping would be the best option if you don't want to use your computer mouse/trackpad: bit.ly/3KZxI3m

Can you use the Serato FX as well as the Pioneer beat FX?
Can you see more than just the track title in the 10.1" screen when browsing tracks using Serato? Artist, BPM & Key? Like displayed for all tracks, not just the currently selected track.

How can i upload serato to my XDJ R3?
Does the new RX3 come with software already installed? Or do I need to buy it from Rekord Box ? Im having a hard time just getting started .. I went on Rekord Box signed in downloaded their license agreement which did not help at all …could you tell me step by step to get started I’m totally new at this .. I bought a brand new RX3 and still can’t make any music … I need help please .. Thank You
First of all its a dj controller (its used to mix music) it's not used to make music although if you want to make your own music search TH-cam how to start music production as a begginer they teach everything from step 1
So does it come with serato and record box when turned on?
You can't use Serato in stand-alone mode. It only works when plugged into your laptop. Only Rekordbox works in stand-alone mode. I wish this was more talked about in these review videos. Kind of defeats the purpose of this unit I feel.

Yes, you can you can load and mix using serato on deck 1 and usb on deck 2.

The XDJ-RX3 is not compatible with Serato DJ Lite, sorry! You can use it with DJ Pro for free, however; the hardware unlocks Serato DJ Pro while it's connected. Please get in touch via support@serato.com if you're still unclear about this :)
If ya'll don't go standalone like Pioneer and Denon.
Yea what if the laptop breaks? Your out of luck. Denon don’t need a laptop

Probably the ONLY thing I like about Rekordbox is that you can use the EXPORT feature.
