Think of it this way, you are setting a new example for your friends and family. They, too, can make this lifestyle possible. It is now an option for them!
Singapore's Changi airport is the best. Koi ponds, butterfly garden, movie theater, showers, hotel, shopping mall in the airport, and Jewel attached to the terminals. Truly amazing, take time to wander there.
Now I need to find your packing vid. I thought I traveled light?

      I totally understand
I am talking about AI more this year in my videos
      Maybe once a month
The reason is I see more of us having to rethink work and housing costs , survival, the next chapter
      All of that
Living cheaper overseas may be very important to workers who get replaced by AI while they are figuring out the next play

Travel light as other countries in SE Asia have everything you ever need it with a faction cost to pay. Just remember, there are always pros and cons no matter where we live as life is short to do the things we don't love doing. Be mindful of your surroundings and be kind whenever possible. It's always possible. Sharing is caring. Peace out from a genocide survivor!

Another great vlog with plenty of scenery and honest information.
Being an expat for many years now, you are right about family, they become more independent and if there is a serious issue, they are only a plane ride away so could come to you if need be.
One question that you mentioned that you will bring up in future vlogs, is healthcare insurance. We are a lot older than you so travel insurance is high, and with each passing decade, getting more expensive. Whilst we do have insurance, and ensure we have enough emergency cash to cover us, this could be a problem for some.
Other viewers may have the answer??

I really enjoy watching your life style in retirement but I have a very important question, what happens if you have a medical emergency while overseas? Do you have insurance from a company or something?

    • @RetireandGo
      @RetireandGo  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

This is a very good question!
      I have two insurance plans
First is an emergency plan that covers ambulances and ER
The second is a travel healthcare plan
      It covers hospitals
Together they are $100 a month
      Very affordable!

Seoul Incheon Airport used to be the best airport. But now, they ruined it by allowing pets to walk around the terminal, instead of being carried on containers, resulting in pets urinating and defecating on the floor. Their pet rules don’t allow this but airport staff just don’t enforce their own rules. The airport receives countless amount of complaints from passengers about this problem but don’t do anything about it. Avoid this airport if you can. Also, when you fly on airlines based in Korea, be ready to accept the fact that some pet owners take their pets into toilet on planes and let their pets jump all over washbin, play with toilet paper, urinate and defecate inside these human toilets. The airlines’ pet rules don’t allow this but the cabin crew simply do not enforce the rules. These are all serious health and safety threat to passengers. Who would want to wash their faces, brush teeth, take a dump and wipe their bottom inside these toilets. Korea and Vietnam are the only countries in East Asia and Oceania where their major airlines allow pets in passenger cabin. All other countries in the region do not allow it.

The seats, lounging sofas that you might have used at Incheon Airport probably have been sat on by pets. Good chance some ticks from pets getting into your hair. Same goes for toilets on airplanes.
