Good video, this helped. My friend removed my carburettor but left me to put it back on so thanks to you I found where the fuel pipe goes. However, that pipe that’s hanging straight down from the bottom and goes off screen in the video, where does that go?!?! Im new to this and can’t seem to see where it connects to. Thanks
When it's cold your air is restricted so that the velocity of the air being sucked in past the jet increases which causes a higher relative vacume on the fuelin the jet and that is how more fuel is drawn through for cold starting. Because just like an aircraft wingsshape air moving at higher velocity causes a low pressure area (vacume) that is a lower pressure than the atmospheric pressure acting upon the fuel inside the carburetta float chamber.
Hi steven, my bike is idling at 1kish Rpm, then during riding when bike reaches 4k Rpm, bike is stuck at 4k RPM and never goes back to idle rpm, only way to go back to Idle RPM is to Fully stop, and engage clutch
joe mcgowan no worries buddy, I think in one of the fork oil videos I'd said 50mm from the top, I've now found that 100mm from the top of the fork is better as 50mm was a bit hard, hope these videos have helped you dude.
my kewey 125 superlight, l, 206, the auxiliary support for the side support of the engine is bothering me, the engine is too much, in a flat position, so much so that it does not fall. Even the main base on which the motor-legs stand likes to slip before you turn them off, it's very hard to go, and you need a lot of power. Is there anything that can be fixed, back to normal? thanks for any advice.
What year is your Superlight? Mines EFI so don’t think mine has one. And I’m having some cut out issues at lights and I’m getting pockets of power loss where it looses acceleration then kicks back in. But it’s happening more often now.
I want to put a fuel filter on my I noticed on yours it does not go from the pipe from the petrol tank to the carb which pipe is it on on Yours and what mm is the pipe
I have taken the restriction panel out of the air filter now it is pulling back at full Throttle when I take the throttle needle out to apply more fuel which way do I take the clip is it up one or down one
Take it down one mate, your changing how far the needle drops in to the chamber, less needle in the hole means more fuel can pass by easier, like pulling your finger out a leak in a dam, the further your finger is inside the lesser amount of water can come between your finger and the inside diameter of the hole. 🤣🤣
Hi Steven, thanks for the videos! My Dad has taken the carb apart for a clean as per the video but when he reconnected the throttle at the top of the carb he's lost the tension in the throttle cable. The throttle handle turns half way before it seems to engage. Any ideas?
Hi Paul It may be that hes put the cable back in the wrong way, I've done it myself, once it's back in the right way it should feel much better. Theres a small notch inside the carb that lines up with the carb float needle, looks like a black plastic cylinder attached to the cable, if it sits high in the carb you eont get it to screw down, if it's done correctly it should go inside the carb and the spring keeps the needle under pressure when the cable is pulled. If you need anymore advice dont hesitate to ask
Hi Steven I'm not sure if this thread is still active I hope it is. I have the same issue as about I have lined the notches up and push it down as far as it goes but I'm still having the same issue with my brothers bike I can't for the life of me figure out why as we put it in the same way it came out
I should have mentioned to drain the Carburetor from the screw at the bottom of the carb with the pipe on attached. I found this out 2nd time around. 😁
I went back to factory and settled fir less power, bigger jets choked it up overfueling etc, I bought larger carb but never fitted it, would have made a difference
Hello, I've just bought a 2016 keeway superlight 125 and I'm currently having an issue where it's idling high at around 7000 rpm. I've had advice from others with bikes but I was wondering if you knew of any unique common reason this particular bike would idle high. The throttle returns to normal on the handle, the choke position doesn't seem to make much difference, it still increases in rpm when I throttle, the rpm fluctuates from anywhere from 7000rpm to 8000. I've been advised to check the accelerator cable and oil it. As I've said though I'm wondering if you know of any unique common issues for this bike that may be the cause
You could clean out the carb if it has one, sounds like it could be a sticky float needle in the carb, if the throttle is at its normal position and its idling at 7k I'd check your cable actually slides freely, if that's ok check the throttle on the carb returns back to position freely, if the cable is good its the carb, clean our with brake cleaner (I've a video on this too) unless it's injected, I haven't dealt with those before. Hope it helps and ask any questions you like, I don't mind helping where I can. 😁
@@stuartfmanning yeah, if you look at my other video about carbs cleaning you'll see it's quite easy to follow, 3 screws and a hose clip and unbolt from the engine.
@@stuartfmanning Well, if your throttle and cable both return to the same position and its still revving high the float needle in the Carb may be sticking, best to take it off and give it a good clean and check the float and needle are operational, carbs can get blocked by the tiniest of things.

Hi Bill, In all honesty youd be better putting a larger carb on it instead, I changed the jets and put a Cone air filter on, chopped the exhaust to a straight through pipe, just made it a very cool sounding bike, only thing I noticed is it was a bit more responsive to the throttle and about 8mph top end. If you wannabe go faster swap the engine out for something sportier as the keeway is geared for cruising.
Lol he just expect you to know how to put it back together in the reverse way to how you took it apart, some people be sitting there with a hand for the parts going 😨I don't know what to do.
I got them on EBay but tbh it's pointless, I've done all the mods and all you get is more noise, a wee bit more acceleration, nothing top end to speak of, extra fuel use and it can lead to it cutting out at junctions etc, but eBay is the best bet, il have a look for them later on with a link mate.

Like your vids sir. You've been a great help.. I new to the superlight.
This video and your others are really good and very helpful as just picked up my own keeway...thank you
No problem, I'm moving house just now but I plan to do more once we're in, always happy to help out where I can.

The small screw at the very bottom of the carbs just above the long Hose is for draining the carbs out, saves getting petrol all over your hands.

The First you unscrew in the vídeo.
The pilot jet i ordered for pz26, is one piece only.
