Awesome video👍 A little overnight trail camping. Thank you for posting. I wasn't sure if we had a Disc Golf Course here in NH. So I looked and sure enough there is one right here in my city.🌲👍

Great to see another video! The best time of year to hike in my opinion is when the leaves are down. You have so much of a better view. Plus no ticks or skeeters! 😄

I have hiked there and seen the campsite, but never stayed overnight. Rock creek trail is were I saw an otter one time, but from the kayak....when there was actually water! I got in at that boat dock across the water. I bet all this rain we have had this week has raised water levels some.

As you walked past the graveyard I was reminded of the thousands of lives and generational farmlands affected by the building of Norris Dam and the TVA. Most of those rugged individuals sacrificed willingly to relocate their lives for the betterment of the land and its inhabitants. The people of Tennessee and surrounding states are an incredibly resilient and resourceful people. Thanks Gretchen and Jerry for a beautiful day and a great video!

I always think about the history and the people who lived in the area on my hikes. I am saddened by what some had to give up but happy that it gets to be preserved for years to come.

I was glad to see this. My grandfather was in the CCC at Norris dam. I feel you on the people that lost their land. Of course native people were there first. I talked to a lady at Cades cove in the Smokies a few years ago. She was in her grandmother's old cabin. She feelings were hard for a long time, but now, she and others were glad the park got the land because a resort had been planned before the park. So now it's preserved. Of course again their land is not underwater. Anyway it's hard thing all around.

My good friend (and the person who introduced me to backpacking) designed that disc golf course. :) He also designed an awesome course at Schumpert Park near Sterchi Hills in Knoxville if you want to try a different course! You have a good throw, Braids!

You and Jerry looked like you had a good time out in the woods. It looked cold there! I played disc golf with my kids a few times.....my disc went into the weeds and they had to find it for me. It looks like your disc golf area is better maintained than the place I went. It was all good fun though.

Great video as always.. Noticed you hiking with 2 Trek poles this time.
Any particular reason since you seldom used both even on difficult sections of the AT.. Take care, you two!
