Hey buddy i just fixed my dyson dc45 thanks to your video, i can confirm the same problem: the rubber was touching the metal plate behind the coils, once i separated them the dyson returned to work! Even when i remounted it and the rubber was still touching it, the machine started anyway, so it was probably some sort of "block". Big hug to you!
A note for other people, the lights were flashing green when pressing the button, but the machine wasn't starting!
Hum. Mine has no lights on top at all. I bought a new battery and charger. Still nothing.
I'm asking the same question how did you get that back off?
Mr. Foshow, Hi, could you please tell me where to connect button - filter detector?
Mr. Foshow уважаемый можете посмотреть куда на плате подключается кнопка-детектор фильтра?
How did you get the back of that thing. I have done nothing but damage the plastic trying to open it. tried everything even a small shim tool (iseasmo) and I am breaking that with the force I am applying?
No one else online has ever opened a DC34 so am intrigued to see how you opened yours
I was able to remove it by using multiple screwdrivers that have narrow stems and thin tips. I forced one in the seam on both sides of the circular portion low just above where it t's for the handle portion. I applied pressure just enough to cause a little flex in the plastic. With a third screwdriver I was able to pop out the bottom of the T. You then use the other two screwdrivers to separate the back from the unit. I squeezed the circular portion as I pried which made the tabs holding it on pop out easier.
TechBase lol. Good question but honestly I don’t remember it’s been awhile that I opened that’s. Sorry
How did you take off the battery case to get access to the battery?
You have to try it out meaning stick a pointy screwdriver and pry it out but be careful not to break the contacts this little clicks or clips by the edge
