    Extensive Video Review compared to many I've seen on other sites. 'More of the car in question than the host' which I always like on Car Blog India reviews. This sets you apart as others just yap forever and do not show the car in the review as much as your videos do. Back to the Car: Simply Superb!

    Thank u for ur on road review.... I was confused btwn this car and 1.6. Lt polo gt tdi for the fact that the polo offers a better ride and handling experience when compared to the outgoing i20. U have cleared my mind to go for i20 elite now inspite of the gt tdi being more powerful engine but 1.4 lt engine is also not less in terms of power and torque delivery with i20 being just 2.2 sec short of gt tdi from 0-100 kph :-) And also mainly coz they have improved its suspension and steering handling now in the elite, i'll choose it. Thanks again.

    • @anttg5340
      @anttg5340 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      difference would be there but 2.2 seconds is too big a difference. I might be wrong out here, if you could let me know the source of this information.

    • @drinamurrahmankhan1215
      @drinamurrahmankhan1215 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      With superly boosted 1.6lt deisel engine gt tdi commutes 0-100kmpl in 0-10 secs whras i20's modest 1.4 lt crdi engine requires 0-12.5 secs to touch the 100kmpl mark. GT is surely a driver enthusiast car but i20 elite, after its modifications in suspension,steering control and back seat space, offers a decent drive for passengers as well.

    So many people have asked your comparison on Polo and i20 elite (petrol). It is obvious Polo has way better drive experience. But, despite all that. For a family car, which one would you suggest?

      In polo 5 adults cant be comfortable for long drives (100+ km) but 4 adults + 15yr old kid can go easily..If u want better ride quality and more aggressive power then go for Polo.. If u need more features u can choose i20

    I am planning to buy a petrol car with a decent fuel economy, good space (comfortable) and 'least maintenance'. Which one would be the best between i20, polo, punto and dzire?

  • @rajTrondhjem10
    @rajTrondhjem10 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Five most important things to look for in a car for Indian driving conditions:
    1) ABS for safety
    2) High ground clearance (at least 165 mm) to clear speed bumps
    3) Rear parking sensors
    4) Automatic gears (AMT/CVT) for effortless and stress-free driving
    5) Automatic A/C for convenience and comfort

  • @kaushalchhaya

    Hi Rohit, thanks for the excellent review. I am planning to buy elite i20 petrol sportz variant. I have question about steering. I red many review about older i20 regarding its numb/dead steering and steering feedback issue. Does the new elite i20 still has this drawback or has it been rectified?

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Kaushal Chhaya.
      Hyundai has worked upon the dynamics of the car to improve the ride-and-handling of the i20. The steering wheel has improved in the sense that it weighs up appropriately according to the speed. There is not much that you can expect in terms of 'feel' as it is an electric-power-assist-unit. It is a vast improvement over the unit in the previous model though.
      Hope this helped.

    • @carblogindia

      Will go about this in order,
      1) Servicing Cost: i20
      2) Handling : Polo
      3) Safety : Polo
      4) Performance (petrol) : i20
      5) Performance (diesel) : Polo
      6) Value for money:
      6) a) Polo Trendline vs. i20 Era : Polo
      6) b) Polo Comfortline vs. i20 Magna : If features are priority, the i20. If safety is a priority, the Polo.
      6) c) Polo Highline vs. i20 Sportz : i20
      6) d) i20 Sportz vs. i20 Sportz (O) : Depends on whether you can live with or without alloy wheels and smart entry-and-go system.
      6) e) i20 Sportz vs. i20 Asta : i20 Asta, price increase seems reasonable. Price after taxes may make a bit too expensive though.
      Hope this helped.

    sports varaintof i20 is having less mileage than the era and magna models, though all three have 14 inch tyres. is itthe increase in weight that has led to decrease in mileage or..

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ant tg These factors could be affecting the efficiency on the Sportz variant: The increased weight because of the added equipment, the increased load on the battery and other components because of the added equipment.
      Encourage others to pitch in with their thoughts.

      sandeep reddy The steering on the Hyundai i20 is much better than the previous generation car.
      It does weigh up nicely as the speeds increase, we went over 150 KMPH and did not find any problems with the steering feel.Hope this helped.

      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Attitude is everything Sorry, we can not give you a precise figure. We did go up to 90 KMPH in the 2nd gear, we can safely say that the i20 may go up to 140-150 KMPH in the 4th gear.

    • @MrVaibhav2625

    Car Blog India Do all dealers provide tyres from the same manufaturer? Can I as the consumer expect Bridgestone Tyres as shown in the review or that depends on the dealer? Also do these tyres vary from dealership to dealership or can I ask for Bridgestone Tyres than the regular Apollo ones that I've seen some dealers in Mumbai provide as "Standard,Factory Fitted"

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rohit Bhatia The car from the manufacturer comes as a package which includes the tyres, tyres from the same company are used. Changes may be made (in batches), but these are rare.
      The car we tested were production models, equipment shown here including the tyres are standard.
      Most dealers will be happy to offer you an exchange offer when you change the tyres to your preferred brand. All the stock cars are shod with tyres which they were fitted with at the factory and they do not change from dealership to dealership.
      Hope this helped.

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      zamborghini green The new Hyundai i20 has vastly improved dynamic as compared to the previous model. We were able to go up to 160 KMPH and found it to be acceptably stable. The Polo is much better at high speeds though.Hope this helped.

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ritvik Agarwal the new Hyundai i20 is certainly better in terms of interior cabin space than its predecessor because of the increased wheelbase. The luggage space has been compromised for this.

      actualy its just a want, not a need of a sedan........ but after all a sedan has an advantage over a hatchback... but i like the boot space in the elite i20..... i need safety, mileage,some of the features like ABS,and bit of looks and interiors.... and ofc engine performance....i drive about 60-70 kmph in cities.... 80-90 on highways... and i think thats not very fast.... my families luggage is 3 siutcases, not more than that.... hope thats enough for the choice...

    • @carblogindia
      @carblogindia  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rajesh Jain Looks are subjective, we cannot help you there.
      In terms of acceleration, the Diesel i20 is better if you take the diesel variants into consideration. In terms of petrol, the Zest is better.
      In terms of after sales service, Hyundai has a better reputation.
      Mileage: Diesel, the Zest delivers more. Petrol, the i20 delivers more.
      Looks like the Hyundai i20 is a better overall choice for you if you choose to buy a diesel powered car. Go for the Zest if you want a petrol powered car.
