This Week #tutorial *tips is on HOW TO PATTERN DRAFT A MATERNITY BODYCON DRESS REQUESTED BY ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL SUBSCRIBER.
*
WHAT TO KNOW :
Bodycon fabrics are fabrics that gives Stretch or extra Stretchy effect that cling to the body so ensure you have a close fitting /easy fitting dress block pattern to achieve this Maternity dress.
Use Close Fitting Dress Block
Starting with the CF
Mark out the waistline and Cut
If the pregnancy is high,cut 1 inch above
and if low,cut 1 inch lower from the waistline
Place a paper underneath,secure as shown
From the Waistline, measure 5 inches downward
and rule a guide line as shown
Blend the side seams line as shown
From the Armhole, mark down 3"
Baste the side seems about 7"-10' along the side
Starting from 3" below the Armhole.
Gather the CF sides up untill the front side seam matches the Center back side seams length.
You can also use Elastic on the Side Seam

Utiliser un bloc vestimentaire ajusté
À commencer par les FC
Marquez la taille et coupez
Si la grossesse est haute, coupez 1 pouce au-dessus
et si bas, coupez 1 pouce plus bas à partir de la taille
Placez un papier en dessous, fixez-le comme indiqué
À partir de la taille, mesurez 5 pouces vers le bas
et règle une ligne de guidage comme indiqué
Mélangez la ligne des coutures latérales comme indiqué
À partir de l'emmanchure, marquez 3"
Badigeonner le côté semble environ 7"-10' le long du côté
À partir de 3" sous l'emmanchure.
Rassemblez les côtés CF jusqu'à ce que la couture du côté avant corresponde à la longueur des coutures du côté central du dos.
Vous pouvez également utiliser l'élastique sur la couture latérale

It means you cut the excess...The front is longer than the back. But it's will be nice if you left it because body con dress adjust to every shape.
