There's an YT guitar instructor teaching songs played on guitar and he once commented re: the beautiful chords played on Americas's songs, "There's a reason why these songs never get old." I'd always liked their music although for me at the time when I was slogging along with The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, America and their music were peripheral to me but I'm just really discovering their music now. It was well worth the wait. They're a soft-rock genre band a' la CSN&Y that tried to venture out into rock but it didn't suit them so well. For any artist to try to reinvent themselves is a tough and speaks to remaining current and relevant pursuant to making an honest living and it's natural to not want to become a nostalgia act, but it's usually better to be true to yourself. But America are definitely a classic.

i love this track and i love the production on the original studio version, it is just sublime .............it is nice to hear that they can produce it so well live as well.....hope to catch this guys live sometime
Aside from bass player this is the same lineup that did the original version in 1982.Drummer and electric guitar player just retired in last few years.
I have seen them live maybe 8 times, the latest being 2010, I always have a good time, they normally sound better then this to be honest, from large crowds to small. They always play all there old ones, has allot of good songs to there credit, 1/2 the songs they sing people sing along to. Sister Golden Hair, Sandman, Ventura Highway, Horse with no name, Tin man, This is for all the lonely people, I need you, Don’t cross the river, Daisy Jane ,Classic band worth seeing before its to late.
