I'm 72 now also. This is STILL one of my all-time favorite songs. The organ coming in during the last 1/2 of the song (on the original recording, not in this performance) adds a lot to the feel of the song. Couldn't be better.
I saved this song in my playlist for my 5 month old daughter. I shed few tears, thinking my daughter will remember me through this song after reading comments from young people being reminded about their loved ones through this song.
I remember the first time I ever heard that.. I was riding around with my older brother in his 69 roadrunner.. and he had a blue 8-track creedence Clearwater revival tape and we would ride around and listen to that over and over.. it had who will stop the rain and all the good ones.. you had to play the whole track.. you had to play the whole track.. and then change the tracks so it will come back around and you can hear it again.. the 8 tracks are a far cry from what the CD is today.. they just don't know how good they got it playing anything over again after you just listen to it..we had to wait and work for it to listen to anything over again after you just listen to it.. but I wish I could go back and live those times over again that was the best.. a more laid-back simple life.. it seemed like everything was a lot better.. I wouldn't mind at all waiting on that 8 track to play something over again..wow.. what I would give..
I'm at an Eye Dr office dropping of Surgery Forms for my husband and this song came on and it made me sing along! Knew it was CCR! Music is so wonderful!
I just called my father, whom I haven't seen in a long time and who I miss. I'm a long way from him and the covide separates us. He told me to listen to this beautiful song.
I remember 1975 year , when I have sung this very beautiful s o n g " Have You Ever Seen the Rain ? " by The Great J o h n F o g e r t y and ( Creedence Clearwater Revival ) !!!!!!

Saw John in Dublin not long before the pandemic hit. He is 10 years older than the above but still has a great voice. I hope I am rocking and rolling like him at 75!
A great human being, a great person, a great musician, and a really great song writer. Don’t ever leave us John. We love you because YOU WERE CCR, all by yourself. We love YOU. Thank you for making great memories for me!
I saw him live 20 years ago and that was the happiest day of my Life, I cried tears of joy in the car on the way home afterwards! Love you John, now and forever!
I grew up with the people who really love CCR Since ‘90s. We had a mini tribute concert for every Christmas and I don’t remember a year that skipped CCR’s track during my childhood. 100% of my Hometown people know CCR, a true legend ❤

It's all I -played through high school in the 60s and 70s...many laughed, as they were into Hendrix, and Zeppelin, but in 2012, I did a benefit concert for children's summer art, and music fund. We raised 15 grand, and opened with this song. I waved the audience of 1700 to sing with us in the chorus, and we brought the house down. We even paid ASCAP/BMI.
Several years ago, I was going to be TAD during my wife's birthday. As a special surprise I got tickets for her and our 20 year old daughter to see CCR. It opened Jennifer's young ears to some GOOD music!
Yes, a legend!! love him a big lot, he was one of my best singer when I was around 20 y.o and will be 73 soon, still listen to him almost every day! Thanks Mr Fogerty...
Had front row seats to see John and CCR in January of 1970 ( the 29th or 30th ), at the Oakland Arena ( now Oracle ), the night before I left for Southeast Asia. Terrific concert!
I love listening to this song especially now that we are all experiencing and suffering from the "UNSEEN ENEMY". God Bless us all. Don't forget to pray everyone.
We were my grandson and me at a fast-food restaurant, while we wait for the food, this song flowed in the air, and he has sung the song. Forever I will love you Luka.
Mr. Fogerty, what a pleasure to hear his signature piece of CCR music, backed up by an orchestra, and a drummer that knows when 'to come in' and participate with his art. Just plain EXCELLENT music.
Hello Denise… My sincere motive was to get to know you more better i believe asking questions about each other will enable us get to know ourselves more better A hand of friendship for a start will be nice 😊

I am going to see John Forgety tonight in Moncton, New-Brunswick at the Capitol. Can't wait, I'm so excited. Love his 🎶music.
We're in the presence of greatness. 😁
That's what I call a voice with recognition factor
I’d say he’s a modern day classical poet.
I'm 65.We had the best music growing up ❤
My husband Craig was a Vietnam Vet Special Forces, His love was Classic ROCK and ROLLNN OF THE CREEDENCE CLEARWATER BAND.
I watched John last Thursday in Manchester (last gig before turning 78) and he was incredible . Vocal on point, energy , what a legend . 👏

John Fogerty and CCR were hugely important in the history of modern music. Completely unique in their sound and compositions.

This song brings tears to my eyes for some reason😩 he sounds great even years later.
Me too… it is like a story of a good life that we will never see again
Look up the meaning of the song. Thats what makes me feel so bad for this true legend. A talent wasted for bs stuff 😔

I've been listening this song since my childhood, and it's 2023 December. It's just amazing.
Now I'm 63, that's the first song I danced cheek to cheek with a girl, I'll never forget that moment in my life....
I saw John this year. He's still amazing at age 74!
I have a mental illnesses and suffer with extreme high and lows. The lyrics speak volumes to me. As if this is what the song is exactly about.

CCR/John Fogerty is one of the most underrated musicians of the 70th!
John is brilliant. The orchestra is beautiful. :)
I first heard this song in the early 80s... What a strange song this is...😅
Greetings from Malaysia 🌹
I can still remember trudging through the muck of the jungles of Vietnam looking for Charlie and this song playing in the background...*sigh*
I saw John last night & he's still amazing at 76!! He performs with his sons. It's great!!
Bet ur ass saw him at spac Ny

That song got me through being in Vietnam and in war.
I can’t tell you how many times I have listen to this. I love the original but this a very good.
That's quite a vocal performance.. Can't be many fellas who can sing like that at his age. Fantastic song.
Keyser Söze Piet Veerman can
Other than Tom Jones
His voice was insane for his time too
Dennis DeYoung is the only one up to par
Not only can they. But better Juan Gabriel. In another language he re wrote the song for the Spanish
Душу рвёт!!! Ни кто не сравнится с Фогерти!!!!
Alguém ouvindo essa música em 2024😊
Holy shit. That’s an audience. He nailed it

Maybe the best live performance I’ve ever seen, what a voice
Great Song, Great Version
Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know
It's been coming for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll rain a sunny day
I know
Shining down like water
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
Yesterday and days before
Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know
Been that way for all my time
'Til forever on it goes
Through the circle, fast and slow
I know
It can't stop, I wonder
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
(Yeeaahh)
I want to know
Have you ever seen the rain
I want to know
Have you ever, ever seen the rain
Coming down on a sunny day
The orchestral arrangement, balance and musicianship is superb on this.
He's 65 years old here, what a voice, and what a guy, Fantastic. My all time fav band, Creedence.

This gives me nostalgia even though i wasn't alive when the song was released
Hermosas canciones. Estamos en el 2023 y los escucho desde los años 70 👏👏💕
I think this is an example of a song that sounds better live than the radio version.
72 as well - great trip down memory lane, haven’t heard this for years - yet I still know the words.
I had to do a fast Google search, John is 78 years old. I so enjoy these classic songs when grouped with an orchestra.
