I remember the first time I ever heard that.. I was riding around with my older brother in his 69 roadrunner.. and he had a blue 8-track creedence Clearwater revival tape and we would ride around and listen to that over and over.. it had who will stop the rain and all the good ones.. you had to play the whole track.. you had to play the whole track.. and then change the tracks so it will come back around and you can hear it again.. the 8 tracks are a far cry from what the CD is today.. they just don't know how good they got it playing anything over again after you just listen to it..we had to wait and work for it to listen to anything over again after you just listen to it.. but I wish I could go back and live those times over again that was the best.. a more laid-back simple life.. it seemed like everything was a lot better.. I wouldn't mind at all waiting on that 8 track to play something over again..wow.. what I would give..
I'm 72 now also. This is STILL one of my all-time favorite songs. The organ coming in during the last 1/2 of the song (on the original recording, not in this performance) adds a lot to the feel of the song. Couldn't be better.
I saved this song in my playlist for my 5 month old daughter. I shed few tears, thinking my daughter will remember me through this song after reading comments from young people being reminded about their loved ones through this song.
It's all I -played through high school in the 60s and 70s...many laughed, as they were into Hendrix, and Zeppelin, but in 2012, I did a benefit concert for children's summer art, and music fund. We raised 15 grand, and opened with this song. I waved the audience of 1700 to sing with us in the chorus, and we brought the house down. We even paid ASCAP/BMI.
I saw him live 20 years ago and that was the happiest day of my Life, I cried tears of joy in the car on the way home afterwards! Love you John, now and forever!
I'm at an Eye Dr office dropping of Surgery Forms for my husband and this song came on and it made me sing along! Knew it was CCR! Music is so wonderful!
WOW!! Fantastic performance. Almost drove me to tears. Dont get much better than this. John Fogerty is a true songwriting genious and His body of work are truly One of the Most impressive there is. Thank you John for all great songs.
I just called my father, whom I haven't seen in a long time and who I miss. I'm a long way from him and the covide separates us. He told me to listen to this beautiful song.
A great human being, a great person, a great musician, and a really great song writer. Don’t ever leave us John. We love you because YOU WERE CCR, all by yourself. We love YOU. Thank you for making great memories for me!
Hello Denise… My sincere motive was to get to know you more better i believe asking questions about each other will enable us get to know ourselves more better A hand of friendship for a start will be nice 😊
Had front row seats to see John and CCR in January of 1970 ( the 29th or 30th ), at the Oakland Arena ( now Oracle ), the night before I left for Southeast Asia. Terrific concert!
I love listening to this song especially now that we are all experiencing and suffering from the "UNSEEN ENEMY". God Bless us all. Don't forget to pray everyone.
Mr. Fogerty, what a pleasure to hear his signature piece of CCR music, backed up by an orchestra, and a drummer that knows when 'to come in' and participate with his art. Just plain EXCELLENT music.
Saw John in Dublin not long before the pandemic hit. He is 10 years older than the above but still has a great voice. I hope I am rocking and rolling like him at 75!
I grew up with the people who really love CCR Since ‘90s. We had a mini tribute concert for every Christmas and I don’t remember a year that skipped CCR’s track during my childhood. 100% of my Hometown people know CCR, a true legend ❤
Several years ago, I was going to be TAD during my wife's birthday. As a special surprise I got tickets for her and our 20 year old daughter to see CCR. It opened Jennifer's young ears to some GOOD music!
I'm 27 years old, this song means so much to me. Music has a way of becoming representative of moments of emotional significance to you. At 17 my girlfriend and I would drive around back-roads at night, having a joint and whatnot. We'd almost always play this in the car and hold hands while it was playing. It's one of those memories I'll never forget. The euphoria involved with this recording and the amazing times I experienced while hearing it will never be forgotten. Even though her and I have moved on from one another, this recording still always makes me think of those amazing times. It's crazy how important music can be to someone.
Hello Rene…My sincere motive was to get to know you more better i believe asking questions about each other will enable us get to know ourselves more better A hand of friendship for a start will be nice 😊

I was lucky enough to see CCR at the Royal Albert Hall in London many years ago, they were better live than on record to me so much energy, great musicians and Johns voice filled the hall to the roof a great night. Thanks for posting this live version the strings sound great also.

Adorei esse comentário, também dessa época maravilhosa ❤
CCR...so glad I came across them tonight. 75 now, still know the words, still remember those years. 💜❤️💗💜❤️💗
How could anyone not like this old classic

People who like Oscar Bravo trash music with the stupid fake trap drum beat

I am never weary of CCR or Fogerty tunes, and sometimes hear them like I ' ve never heard them before. Keep giving us the best stuff ever guys!❤
I watched John last Thursday in Manchester (last gig before turning 78) and he was incredible . Vocal on point, energy , what a legend . 👏
És grande sortudo parabéns 👏👏👏👏.RJ.brasil
John Fogerty and CCR were hugely important in the history of modern music. Completely unique in their sound and compositions.

Keyser Söze Piet Veerman can
Other than Tom Jones
His voice was insane for his time too

The Great John Fogerty with symphony. Superb!
The soul of an artist - an artist is not just a singer, but a writer too & this one fought with every fiber of his being to get the copyrights of his lyrics/melodies back to the heart & soul from whence they came. It takes the soul to deliver the lyrics & yeah, the melody - to an audience so they can sense whatever raw, gut-wrenching feeling the artist radiates when they (we) sing. When we soar, we "mesmerize". © Rs-k (mesmerize in quotes, as it was one of the greatest compliments I've ever been given.)
Your so right if you look back over the last 60 years most, but not all of the great singers were great song writers.
