    the feeder's serve is too high, you wont often find your opponent to serve that high

      So true. That high serve I will just kill the bird down to floor. It becomes tricky when the serve is good. Then it becomes challenging.

    Please make video for 3rd shots as well in doubles, such that we are more likely to get the lift. I have a general idea of keeping the shuttle low and targeting empty spots but more info would be welcome.

    I missed the classic net return. It’s the safest, easiest return of serve. Also the net return, pushing the shuttle to the side, forcing the server to the front and out of the center. Each of these returns can be easily learned and can be seen in many of the doubles matches here on youtube.

    • @LaoMaoSpectacularlife
      @LaoMaoSpectacularlife 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      net return works well when male player serves in mixed doubles. it draw the male player to the front and got a chance for partner to smash on female opponent at the back court.

    • @DaveLemette
      @DaveLemette 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LaoMaoSpectacularlife Sure. It also works on the female partner in the mixed doubles though.

  • @56tof
    @56tof 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video! How about a video on how both partners should position themselves on the court when receiving a serve? I noticed in most international tournaments, that the other partner on the receiving team is positioned at the center of the court (not on the opposite box), while the one receiving the actual serve is near the net.

  • @azul1964
    @azul1964 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Defining the types of return is the easy part. "HOW to Return" a good serve thats 100 times hard part. I think the best way to learn is to look at slow motions of pros doing it while they stand at similar distance away from the base line as you.

    unfortunately most of us amatures are not really following the serving rules. As a result we tend to flick serve without caring to 115 cm rules if we lean too much to the front
