If you love tight bass don't expect from here. Go for Bose. They have the tight and drop bass. For me Yamaha bass is little boomy for me. It's subjective. I own both.
I have serious issues with frequencies. The mids are too strong. On bluetooth, I get much better audio when pulling down mids compared to leaving eq flat or streaming directly from speaker itself via spotify connect. Why is it so difficult to include EQ settings in modern, digital devices?
Totally agreed. They should have provided custom eq which will make sense for all types of people. Sound is a very subjective stuff and not all are going to be happy the presets they had provided. They could have included atleast on the app. For me i felt there's lack of high frequencies ( which is subjective). It's sad that i cannot adjust that.
@@gautam2Dot I've gotten my YAS-109 setup quite okay now. Still lacking in vocal clarity, but okay. Got better after the burn-in period and I guess also my ears got a bit more used to it. Settings I use for music is Stereo or Music, clear choice on, bass +2, all digital surround effects turned off (music-mode will always add some) For movies I don't know yet, because I get my TV tomorrow! 😅🤓 But it's still sad about the lack of EQ, because one clearly hears the potential in these speakers.
That's really great to know. I have 209 it's fine but the fact of the matter is that everyone has different frequency sensitivity that's when the preset is not enough and i don't think it's a big deal to ask for. The low end sound bar has bass and treble control. And not all the recordings are same too. Yes I also do agree with you that most of theses kind of devices, after couple of weeks, we get used to it. 👍🏻
@@gautam2Dot + or - treble should have been an option. I feel the crisp tweeter frequencies are still not there. Not sure if i have completed the proper burnin time. I find the sound is only audible only after 40% volume. My Sony tv is audible at just 15% volume.
I was able to make all connections work (Bluetooth, Alexa, wifi, etc.) in my yas209 after like 3 hours (unboxing and setting up to the tv and my phone) lots of frustrations and temptation of returning it back thinking I have a defective product. But yeah just keep on trying. Reset, turn off, turn on, pair unpair whatever. Good luck and have more patience.
Hey Damien, it’s Gabriel. I have the exact same problem, it was working perfect when I did the first set up, I don’t know what happened after a few moths and that freaking red light won’t go away!
Should I be able to hear Alexa responding to me on the soundbar? Can I remove my echo dot from this room? Currently, Alexa pauses as if to listen but does not respond.
It seems it does not have built in Alexa but what you can do is command your existing Alexa to control this device by adding set of skills to the existing Alexa.
Amazing sound bar worked flawlessly out of the box and sound is amazing and the app is a real plus lots of extras way to go Yamaha, 1 year+ now and its a blast makes movie night really enjoyable.
