Yes but not by a HUGE margin - I"m pretty sure you'd be happy with either one. One caveat though - if you want to control the sound bar VOLUME with the TV's remote (as opposed to the Yamaha's own sound bar remote) as far as I know, only the YAS-209 will allow you to do that through its ARC input. Worth looking into : )
I’ve got a few questions, first of I’ve had this sound bar for at least year 1/2 and have problems with, 1 . Question is my WiFi light on the bar keeps blinking. 2 question is the bar sometime just right of with the all the light on are off and I touch the bar and it’s hot , and 3rd Is some time all the light are on o the bar then they shut off ,but the sound still coming out of it , 4 question is part of the 3rd I unplug the bar and reset it and oat works but there no sound coming out tv 5 final question is once in while when I’m in bed at night or during the day my tv turn on by it self , some time I’m go out town for a week or so come back and it’s on
IMHO the Vizio represents perhaps a better VALUE but if music and best sound are your priorities you might like the Yamaha YAS-209 a little more . . . I'm in shopping mode too but I hear that the Yamaha is really VERY good on music so that's where I'll be going. I presently have Vizio model (going on it's FITH YEAR!) and I can tell you that it has been stellar and very reliable - it only cost me $170. 00 at Costco and I can vouch that it is a superb buy. If you don't go for the Yamaha then definitely go with the Vizio. Hope this helps.
For samsung q80r, 55 inch tv which is having dolby digital plus, dolby atmos support but only hdmi arc port input which sound bar is better yamaha 209 or philips tapb 603?
Please suggest between Samsung Q60T/Q60R, Yamaha YAS 209 or Polk command bar. Please advise Which one has loudest volume compare to others as my living room is pretty large where I need to set it up with my 4K SAMSUNG TV. Good soundstage, clear vocal and thumping bass is the expectation for ps5/xbox gaming and TV shows and music. Thank you!!
YAS 109 Has got Alexa built in - subwoofer is also built in, these are the main differences. If you don't need a bass pressure - take 109, if you have a stand alone subwoofer already - than definately YAS-109 - as you can plug it to YAS-109
I've heard of a serious design issue with YAS-207 which puts me off wireless subs. is this fixed in the YAS-209? It seems to be the electronics deciding when to output audio to the sub, random muting of the signal then re-instating it. Most obvious with male speech. E.g the voice is higher pitched so the sub is quiet (muted?) then the voice pitch lowers and suddenly the sub is activated as if the male voice is now 'shouting'. This un-natural effect is worse when the bar is under the TV and the sub is behind the sofa. If Yamaha can't get this right it does not bode well for others. Apparently it's to do with a cut-off frequency chosen by Yamaha and cannot be fixed on that model. In my view it would be better to send the full bandwidth signal to the sub and let it do adjustable analogue low pass filtering inside...simple! Then 3 other problems generally with these things.. There is auto mute. Low signal so the sub mutes. This should be removed. Random power off..you pause the video and the sub powers off totally after too short a period. An over aggressive power saving feature Loss of wireless connection...so annoying. Use wires! So 4 designed-in problems that vary with manufacturer and model No thanks, that's 4 reasons not to take a risk. I want one of these things but WHO'S DESIGN CAN YOU TRUST?
Hi I think all the issues have been fixed I too owned the 207 and loved it my first one quit called Yamaha and they sent me a brand new 207 for free! and never had any issues later I got the Yas-209 and love it no problems and yes there were issues with the 207 and none at all with the 209 a pure gem, that doesn't break the bank.
Tony Tuff I recently purchased the Yamaha Yas207 soundbar and i am having some trouble with the decoding. It is supposed to decode both dts and Dolby codecs but for some reason it is not showing the dts working. I have it connected to my LG 49 inch (UM7300PSA) I have tried several blurays that dts hd soundtracks and still no dts. I also tried several movies with dts and still no results. I don't understand what is the problem or if i am doing something wrong. Your recommendation Will be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried to manually connect it? its in the manual how to pair both the bar and sub together also call Yamaha if all else fails they customer services is outstanding.
I’ve got this, how do you get the tv sound come through it , the sound only coming out of my tv speackers and the volume very low can’t hear it . And if there a way to get sound through sound bar how do u do it
My Yamaha sound bar keeps shutting off. Or the white light or on freezes and I got to unplug it the plug it in again to work. Plus the sound bar get extremely hot and shuts off Also my tv Samsung turn on by it self sometime while I’m sleeping and wake up and it on how do I fix
At first I had the YAS-109. It is a great soundbar, but after a while the dedicated sub was missing for me. So I sent it back and got the YAS 209 which is a truly great soundbar. Both have great mids, clear sound but if you need the punchier bass than go for the 209.
Overpriced. Three different speakers with not overlapped ranges. There are better and cheaper options on a market. Just don’t look for thin devices. These are crap
Is it worth paying more for the yas 209 over the 207 ?

If you want best sound clarity go with polk but if you want to go as per the trend go with yamaha

Yeah, as it has built in Alexa.
