I think that one bottle should have been enough. There's a reason that nitogeon is often used to fill car tyres as opposed to carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is the gas that's released when mentors are introduced to coka cola. This gas isn't produced though it was already prescent though trapped within the coke mixture as with any carbonated drink. Carbon dioxide is a heavy gas relatively, which is its first drawback and the second is that its pressure or volume is greatly dependant upon ambient temperature to a greater degree than many other gasses so its to unstable in this respect for filling car tyres whereas nitogeon is much more stable and inert.

Would be way cooler if the mentos were in some sort of dissolving membrane to allow time for soda to be introduced and valve stem to be reinstalled before initial reaction.

I think you gimmicked this somehow. Everything I know about Coke and Mentos tells me that the reaction should have started nearly immediately and caused the Coke to start blowing out the valve core before you could possibly have gotten all 2.5 gallons of Coke in the tire.

I believe the position of the valve at the top would have given some small time advantage. Additionally, I did see a decent amount of foam coming up the tubing at one point. However, he was keeping the tubing above the point of entry, and the liquid being squeezed in would have pushed the foam back down.
That's what I was thinking the whole time. That's way too long of time for nothing to happen.

There seems to be a trend in youtube channels with these types of "experiment" videos that almost always feature a coca cola bottle in it. But this one is actually not that bad im not sure whats with the dislikes.

I feel like i could hear the tire saying "i'm about to bussss 😩" the whole time
I'm confused about how you are putting the cola in the tire using a plastic tube with nothing on the end to depress the valve of the tire stem. I get you removed what looks like the plunger to depress the valve, but if the valve is now shut how is the cola getting into the tire? How is the air not escaping? Or is it that there's so little air pressure in the tire that the pressure of the cola is opening the valve?

He took the valve stem out... It's now wide open. Not closed. Until he put it back in.
This is somewhat stupid maybe a ounce of pop made it in the tire. Lol but anything for views and feeding off people's dumbness
The valve core is what let air in and out of tire. With it out it is an open port to the inside of the tire and rim. With air in tire when you take the core out ... the air will blast out.

You should have checked the tire pressure with a gauge to see how high it was. I bet if you used a higher Mentos/Coke ratio you could have made that sucker explode on its own.

@near sighted time traveler Actually, pressure does not fluctuate by hitting bumps. When going over bumps, the tire will squash (deform) but it will not be compressed (changed in volume). So essentially, when the tire hits a bump the tread is deformed inward and the sidewalls are pushed outward thereby keeping the volume intact. If you're not convinced then the next time you rotate your tires, measure the air pressure with and without the tire on the car.

Better make a compartiment where the mentos is stored in the tire an than pour the rest of the tire full of coke so that they will first make contact when the tire is closed and starts spinning. I think now you lose presure as you are filling up the tire with mentos allready in contact with coke.
