- My first drive in the W Motors Fenyr Supersport! Following on from the Lykan Hypersport as seen in Fast & Furious, the Fenyr combines an 800hp flat-6 with an aggressively styled carbon body. Starting out from the W Motors showroom in Dubai, let's see what it's like on the roads...
The W Motors Gallery can be found at Citywalk, Dubai, and inside we can see two Lykans and two Fenyrs; including the last surviving Lykan car from the movie after they were shown jumping from tower to tower. Today though it's all about the Fenyr Supersport, with a technical partnership with Ruf in Germany to help develop the car and powertrain including the 3.8l twin turbo 3.8l flat-6 that produces 810PS and 980nm. The design is all W Motors, from the aggressive angles and shapes, to the separated rear spoiler and active flaps.
Joined by Gareth from W Motors, let's take the Fenyr out onto the roads of the UAE for a drive to experience what it's about and take you through all of the details. Then it's a return to the gallery to browse the specification options and get a feel for the studio where customers would visit to create their own unique car.

I love the look of this car. I am more into sharper angular cars as opposed to the curvey look of most modern super cars.
It looks its revving too high but not moving fast, is it just me hallucinating or did anyone else felt it too.

You’re an idiot who must drive a Toyota Corolla and only experience big fat handlebars holding down chunky heavy mirrors. The slight movement in the carbon fiber when the lateral forces of the door shutting would be expected. But that isn’t an indicator of its aerodynamic property and ability to stay intact when wind moves around it at high speeds. GP bikes have been built this way for decades with less compliant suspensions. But it’s good to see that at least one coach potato McDonald’s straw sucking peanut grease would be engineer was watching and documented time. Maybe you could work at NASA next on space exploration, metallurgy and tinsel strength testing of fiber strands for your pocket lint collection.

I think the Lykan was one of the most distinctive and beautiful new supercars of the last decade. I preferred it to the Fenyr, the huge air intakes towards the back of the sides, they gave it a really interesting look.

Door sounds are faked a lot through the industry. Modern cars are made of aluminum or carbon fiber, which results in a cheap closing sound. I would never judge a new car based on door sound.
The problem is that interior, too much plastic for 1.4m, even the steering wheel has that ugly grey plastic....
FOR ME not really worth that price.

A little thing that slightly irritated me concerning an otherwise “fresh” car...the (cheap-ish) sound of the doors closing and the mirrors wobbling while doing so.
Revised door seals might help, without adding weight.

The Fenyr, in my opinion, looks and sounds awesome!! It is very agressive looking as Shmee noted. It is nice to see something besides a Lamborghini or Ferrari. This car really stands out. Good job tracking this car down and driving it around for us Shmee! Great content in Dubai man.
Did you hear the door clunking, did you see the quality of the bodywork, did you hear how awfully isolated the cabin is? The interior is also soooo cheap. If you just go for atention it is besides a Lamborghini, or a ferrari, but if you go for a car, super no. Haaaaard no.

It seems designed more for looking and sounding rather than driving fast. Theyve assembeled a RUF drivetrain/trans and made it lesser aerodynamic and slower.
You can hear the plastic from the door (and the inside). It’s looking cheap when you interact with the car. Definitely not a high quality car!

A car thats had some thought put into it for a change. The doors are great for older people, like me. The info screen is laid out simply and works(take note Maclaren)There's room behind the seats so the headrest doesn't bang against the rear wall (take note all others) for people with long legs.
I like it, beyond my range for sure but if money was no object Id have one(and some good ear protectors

The fenyr is a beast but the price seems a bit overwhelming for a 6cyc but they claim it can top out at 250mph i still think its 1 of the best looking cars ever built

A lot of people seem to not like the look of this car, but I think it looks friggin’ awesome. Sounds awesome too. Everybody seems to be getting nit picky about things with it, but it’s pre-production. I’m sure it’s going to be sorted out by the time it goes into production.

It’s a fun looking car but if you compare it to a laferrari (msrp of 1.4 million as well) or a Porsche 918 spyder,
This car doesn’t measure up to its price tag. 500k at the very very most, the only reason it’s so expensive is because they don’t produce enough to cover R&D
