I was happy to see the installation and dismantling of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree🎄. I was happy to see the behind-the-scenes labor of the people involved in the project, even though I couldn't see it🎅🏻. Shooting from midnight to dawn must have been difficult due to the cold and sleepiness. Sifat, thank you so much‼️
I'm sad that Christmas is already over😢. I love the magical Christmas Time in New York City ❤️. Thank you for showing us the Magic of Christmas in the best City in the World!! All the beautiful Decoration , and the most beautiful Streets of New York at Christmas time!! I will miss that! But i can't wait for new Footage on Christmas 2024!! Thank you for all your time you take to show us the beautiful Christmas time 2023!! I move in four days to New York, and i can't wait to go on a walk trough New York City!! Take care and keep shining ❤️
I remember when this tree was first put up. No matter how many other gorgeous trees there are throughout the City, the Rockefeller tree always means Christmas to me. I'm in Philadelphia, and on a number of occasions my late Aunt who passed in July of 2023, took me to New York City at Christmas time (no better place to be), and of course we always went to see the tree and go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art among other things. At least we will still have the skating rink. Thank you for the time you put into filming this during such difficult hours.
Thank you for watching and for your comment! It's always bittersweet to say goodbye to the Christmas tree, but we can look forward to the holiday season this year!
@@TheNYCWalkingShowExactly! Each year goes by so fast and before you know it, it's that time of the year again. Every time Christmas comes around again and it's time to decorate, I always say "wow it just felt like we took these decorations down!"
They could of Adleast leave the 🎄 Christmas tree up all year around at Rockefeller center so this way people could definitely enjoy the Christmas tree during the winter spring and summer.@@christiangonzales7429
It will be back up before you know it. Each year goes by faster and faster. Sometimes I even joke saying why bother to take any Christmas decorations down?
The NYC Walking Show - Again thank-you for showing us this dismantling of ROCK TREE - AWESOME thinking going into taking the world's infamous CHRISTMAS TREE down and removed from the plaza. 🥰
Great video, Sifat! Your curiosity always lets us see things, in depth, from new perspectives. Great camera work, especially on the star removal and storage. It is interesting to see the logistics and massive amount of work needed to make this yearly event happen from setup to teardown. I guess they don't have to worry about untangling those light strings for next year, LOL!
I am still watching as the tree came down. TIM - BER !!! Very cool watching the star being towed into Rockefeller building. I am wondering how much time went by from when they took the star off and the tree came down. You were there for hours. Was there a crowd watching this? I hear some meaningless chatter among just a few people. Thanks for recording this, editing and playing it for the world to see.❤
Wow !!! They throw the lights !!! 😮 I was wondering how they could remove the tree so quickly… Now I know but I didn’t expect that ! It’s pretty crazy ! 😂 Thank you Sifat for this very interesting video ! 🥰
Oh! This is the saddest part of when the holiday season ends; taking down the Christmas tree. ☹ But it is not a "good bye" but a "see you soon" because we will see it again in 11 months.👋🎄 I mean,it won't be this same tree but another one. By the way, what will happen with this tree that it"s being taking down???
Are the LED lights being subjected to recycling as well, persistently affixed to the branches during the sawing process and subsequently deposited into the truck?
I was there for Christmas weekend and was not able to see it well because there was gates around it.. i was so excited to see it but it was blocked off :(
As you saw they remove the star and place it in the nearby storage and they will use it again in next season. About the lights, they don’t remove it, because it will take too much time and it’s not worth it, it took 3 weeks almost to decorate it and you can understand how it will be if they want to remove it. So they cut those lights with the branch and throw it out and they also give it to people if they want. So every year new lights.
Thank you for your dedication Sifat, but I cried so hard. It was like watching a sweet old friend being massacred~ so sad. Does NYC store the massive star to use again? 😢
@@josephbennett3482 cheap light sets cost more to remove them and they looked like they were on a schedule for removal of the tree, so they sacrificed a few sets of lights so they could be out before daylight
I hope everyone enjoyed famous Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center, bc USA can no-longer afford the magical beautiful Christmas tree in NYC ever again. Remember the Christmas tree all have different meanings & plus qualities of the tree oak, and it’s not from the same family line tree. You might be able to see the other magical Christmas tree at “World Trade Center Royal Exchange” Financial District Building!

Yeah. They don’t remove the lights. They cut the small branch with the lights and throw it, also give it to people if they want. I got so many bulbs for myself. 😊 Every year. New lights!
@@TheNYCWalkingShowWow, I never knew this. I thought they simply reused the same lights each year until they died and needed replacing. Thanks for this tidbit of info! You learn something new every day!

The tree is a pity🎄😢 - such a beautiful and strong tree, big and now dead.🌲⚰️😢😞😓 Then they wonder why nature does not spare humanity and people, what they do to nature is how nature treats people, Natural selection??! - No. IF You are healthy and Strong and you grow for a long time, but you die quickly..🎄😢😞😣😖 I thought America cared about nature - for a long time now, artificial trees have been installed in the main squares. Christmas comes very quickly every year! Before you know it, the tree and decorations will be right back up again! 😃
I like it too, used to brave the cold and crowd , but the quiet time after a month of constant visual and diet challenges I’m glad it’s finally over.
They cut the branches off the tree along with the lights without keeping the lights right!
Although this is so sad, thank you for braving the cold and videoing this for us Sifat!
This is very exciting! Thank you for filming this Sifat! I love all the different uses the tree gets now. But I am still sad to see it go.

It’s weird that they don’t take the lights off first
They should take the tree to Steinmetz Family Farm at 66 Lake Rd, Fleetwood, Pennsylvania their goats love eating them.
Do they throw away the lights as you don't see them remove them from the tree
Did they remove the lights or they just throw them away when they cut the branches?

No scaffolding to remove the lights, like when the tree was put in place last November
The lights aren't saved they throw them out with the tree which is quite shocking and pretty stupid.
