The CDL actuator is vac operated and was produced by a 1 man band. Sadly he doesn’t produce the vac operated ones anymore, but he does to a electric powered one 👌🏻

If your on +5 shocks already you'll be maxing out your radius arms before the shocks your best bet if you want more flex is to go for Johnny jointed arms
Awesome! Have you changed much since this video was recorded? Picked myself up a td5 d2 a couple of weeks ago with some nice mods, 4 inch lift, wading kit, remap etc, looking at what else I can add to it. Never had a D2 before, or a LR for that matter!
Great Tour great content as usual you guys are killing it! Dora is a bit of a tank. My old D2 is very standard looking and like a luxury motor inside compared to poor Dora. The only suggestion I would make is if you go bigger than a 32" tyre to consider dropping the ratio in the Transfer case. the D2 runs on a 1:1.2 as standard, going to Defender level 1:1.4 would help to run the larger wheels easier, and if you wanted to... Ashcroft Transmissions have a gizmo that can re-calibrate the speedo for larger tyres.

The discovery 2 takes its speed from the wheel speed sensors

Sorry for posting on an old video but what springs you use with them shocks? My td5 is going to be very similar spec to yours just not sure what lift to go with. Dora’s a beast 😎
They’re on Ashcroft’s website, you have to get their shafts as well. The uprated CV’s don’t fit a standard shaft. Sadly they’re out of stock at the moment 😭
Just recently bought a completely standard discovery 2 and found your channel, this review was really helpful, just a quick question with the diff locks off the edr modulator, have you done an egr delete still for the sake of mapping? Cheers keep up the good content 👍
Hello Graham! I must solve some problem regarding the wheels on my Disco2. The previous owner installed pneu 33" on rim 15" and a sort of spacer in between disk brake and rim to adapt the PCD from 120 mm up to about PCD 160 mm for the bolt holes. I want to take off this adapter because for the Italian law are not permitted. Could you tell me what kind of rim and pneu are installed in your car? Do you have some spacers in between your disk brake and rims? Could you give me some link about your rims and the ET value as well? Thankd a lot !! Sorry for my English ...I hope you understand me!
Hi , thanks for your comments here , Dora is running on challenge rims with -25 offset , i dont run spacers as i dont feel they are safe , my rims are std 16” and i am running 33x305x16 roadcruza mts on them

Good video and ideas on my D2 snorkel IV got a tractor intake dust bowl had on three years now bin in some very heavy rain storms never let any water in just kept it in the bowl it was only£20 I'm a agricultural engineer i know they work if you want me to send pics just message me keep up the good work
Them dustbowl intakes are a cracking piece of kit for the price 😁 we’ve had one on a defender, only issue we found it doing the tight lanes we do it had a habit of getting ripped off Don’t think Iv ever seen a dryer air box in the rain though 👌🏻😁

How do you disengage the ABS when the lockers are on?
No need to disengage abs, when all lockers are activated the abs system can sense any wheelspin or wheel locking up.

We’re running a vacuum actuator that is controlled by the redundant egr solenoids😁 they’re on eBay 👌🏻

Hi Graham Is it a big job to fit kits for cdl getting a discovery td5 only ad up to 300tdi over ten years ago carnt wait to get one
Just the vac actuator is a easy job, but transfer case has to have the CDL internals 💪🏻
