Nope, you have to watch your mouth. Ti 2:9 shows about Answering again, talking back, opens the door for Satan. 2Pe2-11 and Jud 1-9 both say durst not bring a railing accusation. Those verses are teaching us to hold our mouth shut. Jude 1-9 goes further to teach to say, the Lord rebuke thee and invoke Rom 12-19 Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord. Too much truth. This is hard to swallow. As a Christian I'm going to have to get back on the horse. Life has demands and its hard to stay on track as energy wains and demands increase.

I used to watch the murder mysteries and compare myself to them and say I'm okay this man killed 13ppl robbed raped murdered etc but the Lord spoke to me and said when u die I'm not going to ask u about them. It's God and your own self and he's not going to compare your life to someone else. so then the Lord taught me hey be ready everyday be ready to close your eyes. 1st john says if we say we have fellowship with God but walk in darkness we lie and don't do the truth it also says that if we sin and confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus loves us but we have to walk upright before him in love by the holy Spirit. What has helped me is getting connected w a church home where I can worship the Lord together with other believers as well as be discipled and encouraged and molded and taught and studying the word oh the Lord. I prayed and said God bring ppl around me that's going to tell me the truth of the gospel not turn me around. When I go out here I want to be sure I'm saying the true gospel so I asked God to lead me to Godly ppl that would come alongside me. He did it for me and he sure nuff can do it for you. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind!!!

And, Mark..good story..I believe the lesson we would get from that would be that as believers/ followers of Jesus Christ we need to always keep God first especially when we want something or someone.
In Genesis, Satan said "surely you will not die" and later, cast down because he wants to "be like the most high".

In regards to 1 Cor. 7:5, there is physical closeness, and there is also spirit and soul, or what I think of as heart, or relational closeness.
(I don’t know if I have the accurate wording here.)
But, when our hearts are far from one another, and we don’t have relational closeness, it’s very hard for some to be physically “close"! It’s very hard to not deprive one another. We are very tempted to deprive the other …
Some hearts hurt a whole lot when one kind of closeness is expected, but not the other ...
Unloving attitudes, words, choices, decisions often hurt the other person so much more deeply than we realize, so we start to pull our hearts away from the other person, or we harden our heart, to protect ourselves ... The other person can sense that distance, and hardness. We know that we do not have relational, or heart-closeness, even when we cannot explain why ...

When it comes to reading the Bible, I set time every night to do my devotionals.
I read one chapter of the Bible and read bible teaching every night at the same time at 10 o'clock sometimes 11. I do think I need to pray more though I listen to God more than I talk to him so I think I need to pray more.

My friend, you've been following a false gospel since Jesus left. Everybody fell for it, and many defend it. It's a shame because he warned about that. And I believe Revelations said "Satan deceived the whole world" didn't it?
Although I disagree with C.S. Lewis on several aspects of his theology I love his work ‘The Screwtape Letters’. It lays out a possible hierarchy of Satan and his myriad of demons and minions and how they deceive and trick us into following our sin nature. While I seriously doubt the family structure of a young demon having his uncle to write to and seek advise from the structure may be similar without the family relationships. I believe that we often deceive ourselves about the prince of the power of the air, and his fallen angles, when we underestimate his effect on this world and its inhabitants. Praise Jesus that Satan’s being restrained by God and witness to others while it’s still possible because that restraint is going to be removed someday, possibly soon.

When I asked, 'Have you ever read the Bible or something? Have you ever been open-minded to consider the thoughts of it?' my goal was to encourage further exploration and discussion. I realize now that this might have been misinterpreted, and I’m sorry if it seemed dismissive or something in your thoughts.
What I meant to convey is that even if someone concludes that Christianity isn’t true, this conclusion alone doesn’t serve as definitive proof against its claims. In the same way, concluding that any worldview or belief system is untrue requires thorough investigation and evidence.
It’s important to approach these topics with an open mind and a willingness to consider different perspectives. Praying and seeking answers is a significant part of the journey, but God also invites us to actively seek, learn, and understand but to also be a part of the progress not just God Himself to do it all alone.
In my own journey, I once questioned the existence of a higher power and considered my belief in God to be possibly delusional. Through mass research, contemplation, study and analyze, I found compelling reasons to believe in Christianity through science and both faith as my fundamental principles. One of the turning points for me was the Big Bang theory, which aligns with the biblical account in Genesis where God says, 'Let there be light.' This connection between scientific understanding and biblical narrative led me to a deeper faith.
I’ve spent years questioning both science and faith, and this process has led me to the conlusion of Christianity, not just science or faith but to fuse it. I hope you can do your research and explore astronomy, history, physics or other topics but also theology.
I don't know if this was too much for you to read or not but I do love conversations (although sometimes they can end upp with arguments not to win it but to rather clarify things.)
Although I don't have perfect knowledge I can still study, research and do other stuff to consider it, that's why I'm always questioning stuff around. Remember, theology isn't the only evidence but also with science to prove stuff. Peace out ✝ Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
While we were still contaminated with filthy sin, Jesus responded to the Father and gave everything to demonstrate our worth and His love. We must have faith and respond to His love by demonstrating our honest heart in repentance and obedience before Him and men. It’s not optional!
This was so good Ray. Satan always attacks after I have a victory...say witnessing. You bring someone to Christ or plant a seed and, if not immediately, then later, he attacks. I know it's coming, but it's like these minions of his know when you forget about spiritual warfare, then they strike! He is slick and we need to stand ready. Thanks Ray.

At time stamp 13:52 it is said that Judas wasn't possessed, but in John 13:27 says "And after the sop Satan entered into him." So how do you get that he wasn't possessed?
I think God speaks to us when our hearts are wrong, when our behavior is bad, he reaches out to us to correct us. The thing about Satan is that he doesn't appear to just any random sinner, he appears to the ones that have a combination of sinful and evil traits he can use.

Hi Ray, thank you for your ministry and podcast! I listen to it while I'm doing my work around the house. I love to laugh, and you guys make me belly laugh with the weirdest questions during the introductions. Please pray for my children, especially my daughter Shania. We raised them atheist, but in 2020 God saved me. All my children now go to church with us, but she is not sure she believes yet and still asks questions. My eldest daughter was saved and baptized in April-praise the Lord! Now she is reading through the Bible. My youngest is 9, and he is still too young; I don't want to pressure him.

Sara, what you wrote fills my heart with joy. By the time I realized that I needed to be more active in my children’s view of God, the world had already snuck in and gave them confusing, opposing and just wrong information, and once that happens it’s very hard to get the right beliefs back into their view of God.

You sound like a good loving mother, and I’m glad God is pulling you and yours in to his Kingdom but remember this, John 1:12 “He gave the right to become his children, meaning that we have salvation by what Christ has done, that one thing is solid and sure, but we still think (in our minds) the same way we did before we were born again. Now we must learn from God Himself by desiring to be more like Him. We speak to God through prayers and He speaks to us, mainly, through His bible.

My former Pastor's son married another man. I'm still friends with him on social media. I don't give him a thumbs-up on his celebration on his marriage or his message about his lifestyle. I'm confused if I'm doing anything wrong with staying friends with him and not telling him, that he's in an biblical lifestyle. Since, he's a Pastor's kid, ge knows he's in an unbiblical lifestyle.
I would stay friends and at the same time ask him for his thoughts on 1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor [a]homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.” Jesus called Judas “friend” as he betrayed him with a kiss.

Great question:
Some maintain that repentance is simply a change of mind about Jesus. That it has nothing to do with sin. All we have to do is believe in Jesus. That is change our minds about Him.
I’m not concerned about these people. They have their minds made up no matter what I say. What concerns me is those they influence with their unsound doctrine.
So, does repentance mean to turn from your sins of lying, stealing blasphemy, fornication, adultery and idolatry, or does it simply mean to turn from the sin of unbelief?
Scripture makes it clear that repentance is turning from sins (plural):
Ezekiel 18:21-23: “But if the wicked will TURN FROM ALL HIS SINS that he hath committed…”
Acts 3:19: “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT…” (Note: this is “sins,” not the “sin” of unbelief).
Acts 3:26: “Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, IN TURNING AWAY EVERY ONE OF YOU FROM HIS INIQUITIES.” (Again, “Iniquities” is plural. Not the singular sin of unbelief).
Luke 24:47:
“And that repentance and remission of sins (sins, plural) should be preached in his name among all nations…”
Revelation 2:21-22 (emphasis added):
“And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.”
“Deeds”-Plural
If repentance is just a change of mind about Jesus, why does the Bible speak of godly sorrow producing repentance:
“For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation…” (2 Corinthians 7:10).
Godly sorrow clearly means to be sorry for sin.
When David was confronted by Nathan for his adultery and murder, he didn’t just have a mind-change. His repentance came from godly sorrow. He spoke of being cleansed from his sin, saying it was evil in God’s sight:
“Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned, And done this evil in Your sight.” (Psalm 51:1-4).
The Amplified Bible translates the Greek and Hebrew languages:
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent [change your inner self-your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life], for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Matthew 4:17 AMP
Listen to scripture as it addresses sinners telling them to be sorry for their sins:
“Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom” (James 4:8-9).
“And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.” Revelation 9:21
Notice again, murders, sexual immorality and thefts. Not simply unbelief.
Proponents of the “just believe” doctrine say that we are saying to stop sinning-like Jesus said to the woman caught in the act of adultery:
“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” (John 8:11).
“See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.” (John 5:14).
A Christian stops SERVING sin. He perpetually turns from it. This is called the FRUIT of repentance. It’s evidence of salvation, not the reason for it.
Those who maintain that turning from sin is a work at the same time say that sinners must “believe” to be saved. In other words they have to “do” something-they have to believe. That’s works-righteousness. We are saved by grace alone without works (see Ephesians 2:8-9) and the way to obtain grace is to do what Jesus said to do, “repent and believe” (Mark 1:5).
@@LivingWaters Thanks you, without question we are saved by grace through faith alone and that is a gift from God. For God's grace has appeared to every man. You may be a borderline Calvinist. Believing God and What He has said and do (Jesus shed His blood for the remission of our sins, (the only begotten Son of God did it all), the Word of God come down from Heaven, (incarnate) in the body prepared for Him. If anyone believes on Jesus Christ they will be saved and their sins covered by the blood of the Lamb. When God's see us, He's see that we are marked (covered) by the blood of the Lamb; Jesus Christ. To know God is to learn repentance, someone can repent (ask for forgiveness, turn from sin). I believe that understanding repentance comes from being saved (regenerated by the Holy Spirit and to knowing God personally).
I personally don't understand all of the works speech, belief is a work and repentance is a work that's somehow extreme to me to think like that: I'm speaking to everyone that uses that terminology, sounds more Calvinistic to me.Context matters with the Lord, repent; and/or iniquity, or transgression, sin, sins are synonymous yet may are obviously different.
Repent certainly means to turn from, too feel remorse for, too have your understanding changed about sin/sin and sin towards God.
Salvation is from God when He sees you believed on His Son with thine heart's understanding. Many people are remorseful and sorrowful for things that they've done yet they continue in their sins. Someone in Sheol/Hadas may be remorseful for their wicked ways and may have stopped whatever sinful deeds that they were doing in their lives but they were Never born again or else they would not be in that place the abode of the dead.
Teach believe on the name of Jesus unto salvation, the grace and truth and faith came through Jesus.

There are examples of all manner of sin being forgiven in the bible; Moses mudered, David's adultery, Rahab's prostitution, Zaccheus' greed, Nebuchadnezzar's pride, to name a few. Is there a specific example of homosexuality being forgiven? Not just generally sexual sin but specifically homosexuality. Thank you.

There is no sin that cannot be forgiven the one who believes, for “with the heart man believeth unto righteousness.” But he who refuses to believe shuts himself off from life and righteousness.
In short, the unpardonable sin is the sin that rejects pardon.
If we carefully study Hebrews 6:1-6, we find that it is talking of the unpardonable sin, for the unpardonable sin is the sin that is not repented of, or rather, the sin of willfully rejecting the grace that brings salvation.
We must be mindful that this text speaks of those whom it is impossible to renew again unto repentance, and not of those who repent but cannot find salvation.
The fault therefore, is not with God, but with the ones who resist all His gracious efforts to renew them.
We should also note that the very text implies the utmost effort on the part of God, for it says, “it is impossible, . . . if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance.”
But if the utmost effort were not put forth, it could not be said that it is impossible. So the text before us teaches us, contrary to what many think, that God never remits His efforts to save men.

Over a billion people are currently following the "angel of lights message" and are in the bible for judgement and destruction.
A co-worker who was a bishop in the Mormon faith told me he is absolutely positive that Mormonism is true. I asked him how he knows and he told me that while he was in the Utah Temple he actually saw the Holy Spirit Descend from above with his own eyes. I reminded him of 2 Cor 11:14 "And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." Satan is a deceiver and can appear as light. My co-worker was furious with me but the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the plumb line and the only truth not the false damming gospel that Mormons, with the stamp of approval from Satan, are pushing.

Mormons are not christians, they are Mormons. First explain to him why he's Mormon. Christians believe ONLY in the Bible, they believe in other writings. We want to spend eternity with God. They aspire to be a god. They believe Satan and Jesus are brothers. Those are just a few glaring differences.

I think that you misunderstand the meaning of the word “like”.
When Lucifer said “I will be like the most High,” his object was not to be Holy like God, but to take His place, That's what the following text means.

Satan means adversary or opponent in Hebrew.
The word "satan" is not a proper noun, it is a common noun that has become associated with a particular being.
When the word is used with a definite article (ha in Hebrew/the in English) it is speaking of the being we know as "The Devil" or "Lucifer" or "The Dragon", otherwise it is speaking of any being that is adversarial or oppositional to God or His will.
