The reason their experience is different than ours is because the general society hates them. In a wealthy country as ours supposedly is, homelessness is a travesty brought about by evil and greed. If you think you are better than the homeless, you had better buy a tent right now! Wow this video gives me hope.sadly my wife is clearly upset when someone approaches who is in need and act harsh but I try to lead a better way although I can't help with money this shows a good approach thank you
The one thing about this video is there treating people who are homeless like I have to prepare to go talk to them they're just people just like you as a matter of fact all people are equal except for in different circumstances so you don't have to prepare to go talk to a homeless person just talk to him like you talk to anybody else or better yet ask yourself how you'd want to be treated if you were in that situation that's the way you treat them very simple I don't have to go through a big long presentation to go talk to somebody
Completely agree, this video is meant to be a resource for those that struggle with being intimidated by the concept of starting conversations with our friends on the street. Ideally we all speak openly and candidly with our fellow neighbor no matter the circumstance!
Thank you for this. We have a problem here, in a little town, with the homeless number exponentially climbing. I do believe many have traveled here. It seems the police don't have a place to take them and they mostly ignore them. It's is the fault of neither. This is a tough situation.
They may have some reservations about Christ because of their situation. Please don't try to ram Christ down their throats but rather be Christ to them. Another thing I found out while homeless is that there are a lot of serious Christians out there. This says something about the state of our churches since the Bible tells us that what we do to others we are doing to Christ. There ought never to be a separation between the Christians of the church and homeless Christians . Please also bear in mind the difficulty of the homeless. Their lives are completely about survival. Being hated, some seriously separated from their families and shamed, breathing polluted air, exhaustion and many other issues that the average person has no idea about. Not being able a lot of time to stay clean, lack of public restrooms because park restrooms are often locked, and businesses completely lock them out. I'm afraid we are next. Buy a tent now.💓🐑 And here is some humor: when I became homeless I found out that I wasn't going to die if I didn't have a shower everyday. 🐑
Home is a state of being for a perception we all have that houseless on the other hand is a different thing you either have a roof or you don't but that doesn't make you homeless
Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago has been helping the homeless and sharing the gospel since 1874. Their channel seen on TH-cam has many testimonies of homeless people who found Christ including many who now work at the mission.
The answer to the opening question is very simple treat people the way you want to be treated this is the sum of the law and the prophets I was homeless for 8 years in Huntington Park and it was really hard because I was going to a Starbucks and when I was cleaned up because there was a time when a Salvadorian couple a son and a mother took me in I'm going to the Starbucks homeless and ostracized but I would go in that same Starbucks cleaned up and I could go up and talk to every person in the place and they wouldn't say nothing but when I was homeless if they saw me talking to somebody that would come up and ask the person if I was bothering them
That's a really tough situation, everyone deserves to be treated with receptivity and respect. We're sorry to hear that you were mistreated by Starbucks in the past. Prayers that our culture shifts to be more accepting!
@Christ_in_the_City thank you for writing that back but one thing I learned if they treated me like that I imagine how they treated Jesus because we belong to him I failed to mention God also showed me favor El Salvadorian mother and son took me off the street and then I got really sick and I came home and right now God gave me a roof over my head a beautiful blind dog who loves me people in my church who care God is so good
Sorry to hear you have had poor experiences in the past. We pray others remain consistent in your life. Our missionaries go to the streets daily all year no matter the weather. :)
I give hobos hard treatment. Atheist aren't running soup kitchens as a Church activity. Even if it's all for show, hobos gettin fed. Atheist are so cringe. If helping ppl doesn't make u feel good.... maybe u need God.
I'm an atheist, but back when I was homeless when christians would come by, bring food and ask "can I pray for you?" - I generally would say "sure, why not?" - I mean, even if I don't believe it can't hurt, and it seems to make the good samaritans helping me out feel good...
Hey dkkface. That's ur whole problem and the problem with atheist. They talk a game but only care about clicks. Helping ppl should make u feel good. Wtf is wrong with that. Atheism is cringe. I'd rather be Ted Haggard than TJ Kirk.
Ima horrible Christian. I understand the universe was dark for several billion years before the first star achieved nuclear fusion. I don't care. I'd rather be a Jesus guy. By definition Christians are imperfect. So shove ur hypocrisy argument.
Be honest and never decieve them. They know you are helping to do works. You selected people that you will never take home or to your family gathering. You are deceptive and that is letting your left hand know what your right hand is doing. You will receive what you release, GAS LIGHTING 😢
I see your point, if you do it just to feel good about yourself, or to try to earn your way to heaven, it's deceptive. But I don't think it's deceptive in and of itself. You are sharing the love of Christ and letting your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. We should do what is within our means but also aspire to the standards Jesus gave us: be ye perfect. Meaning if we can invite the poor, lame, crippled and blind to our banquet, we should.
Doing good shouldn’t be shared typically, that is true, but if it is shared, it doesn’t mean it’s prideful. I’m homeless for Christ, like John, Phillip, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah. I don’t want people to treat me like a human, I’d like them to love me as Christ does, which would be rebuking my misdeeds. There’s a lot wrong with most channels that claim to be for Christ, lips profess Him, but their hearts are far from him
Is better give the homeless a free Job ,not giving them a food, they can't survive only one day for one meal ,but is about how they can survive for a year and long-term,is better giving them a job such as work in the supermarket, cleaning the garden, cleaning services, cleaning streets, etc as long as they can eat, and survive, and have a free little dormitory, so they can rest and take a shower to clean themselves and also giving free medication. Is time to change their mindset. We can't depend the government help, only the pure true people who trust in Jesus that can help them. Suffering, Poverty, Starving, Broken home, it doesn't come from God but Circle of Hell (demonic), the world is pure Evil, because God threw away the fallen Angels on Earth. The Earth is already corrupted. These homeless people need the prayers, so with that they can change their lifes.
yes! but not all people have the ability to give the homelass a free job- like me, a student who still depends on my parents. in this case, it's still better to offer food, and offer the Word of God!
And where do you get such jobs for them??? And how do you know if they are healthy enough both physically and mentally to even hold a job, any job? I like your idea of giving them a free little dormitory where they can shower. Perhaps a fridge and microwave as well? And do some work in exchange. But where exactly do you find those?
You have some good suggestions here, but even Jesus fed the 5000 (and 4000 another time) because they had need right then and there. What good is getting them a job if they're so hungry they can't function?
@@denisemayosky1955 Actually, I think he just meant to not get stuck in short-term solutions, but actually look for a long-term solution. I couldn't agree more. Problem is, that there are no jobs laying around everywhere and some (or many?) are just too ill to work. But long-term solutions will help best in the end. Giving out food for just one extra day won't hurt, for sure.
In principle, there is much good about this. But please let me say one crucial thing here, and don't take me wrong. Those who are enduring under Homelessness Crisis are not a separate species. They are NOT "The Homeless". These are human beings no different than anyone else. The are people who this has HAPPENED TO, and it is NOT THEIR IDENTITY. And, please with a due respect, reassess the statement you make in the beginning about people being somehow homeless inside before it ever happens in practical terms to them. That is toxic beyond belief. And it is not correct. While there are a percentage of those in that situation who are there because of drug/criminal activity, the largest part of the population who are unhoused are from a whole scope of circumstances such as being sick/disabled, elderly, moms and kids fleeing abuse, those upended by societal/govt malfeasance during Pandemic, veterans, crime victims, throwaway teens.....and many others from situations as diverse as humanity is. In a nutshell, our society is falling apart and our government is not righteous. This is part of the result of that dynamic. When I heard that statement about people being something inside before homeless my stomach rolled. How awful.....it brought a tear to my eye. You look like nice young people, and I hope you listen to what I've said and pray on this before you continue your ministry. Those who are homeless, for the most part, aren't carrying "some secret sin". They are victims in a crisis and deserve decent treatment.
Totally 100%🎯!!! However, if I may offer a rebuttal. I think what they were meaning - at least how I took it - is these people were already falling through the cracks before they wound up on the streets. They probably had shaky relationships with family and very few, if any, friends. Not because they're bad or have something wrong with them, but because our society is so fractured, so self-absorbed, that people find it hard to connect with anybody anymore, and I think a lot of times people end up homeless because they don't have that support system to keep them from falling all the way to the bottom. It speaks to a real need, a real deficiency, in our society when people can just turn away from those in need, treat them as less than human, and just leave them to fend for themselves. It may be uncomfortable to deal with cuz you don't know what to do, but like they said, just simply being kind to these folks who are all too often ignored can go a long way!😊
What they need is shelter .My faith is 110% but what i am seeing is not cool .These people dont need socks ,they need shelter and medical help . Tiny houses are in now ,privacy ,no bed bugs ,less fighting ,and so on .Less talk more tiny homes .God bless .
Thank you for caring. But please don’t preach or try to change our beliefs. That’s a violation of our humanity. Just be you. Believe what YOU believe and respect the beliefs of others.
I am persecuted for actually serving God, no theater arts gimmicks. So I almost certainly won’t approach them as government ppl told me that it is their job to pretending I am crazy, when I have proven I am Christ.

You might as well copy/paste a Bible text. Now it's without use. So I did that here, Luke. Next time you do it yourself! "But whenever you give a banquet, invite people who are poor, who have disabilities, who are limping, and people who are blind; and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you; for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”
Can you guys make a video called "encountering annoying religious people who want you in their cult and they keep coming to my tent early in the morning because they think yelling and one sandwich will somehow get me to join they're cult"
I'm sorry that you are having that experience. Perhaps you could express to them just what you shared here, the next time that happens. It's a very valid point.
@@sophirichmanfletcher4657The truth is that some people don't want God's help. Your salvation is up to your choice. The Bible says to "choose today who you will serve"
I understand how you feel about people approaching you with an unwelcome agenda. If you're sleeping in a tent on the streets your behavior suggests a need for help or assistance, meaning the streets aren't a camping site and this condition isn't a normal expectation in America. In fact, it's regarded as a growing problem. As you may have considered, the people who approached you weren't intentionally a nuisance, but planned to be a benefit to you and society...
@@sophirichmanfletcher4657start getting involved in organisations that are trying to help them off the streets. A water bottle and a sermon in disguise is doing nothing to turn their lives around. Of all the groups who buzz around the homeless, the most annoying and ineffective and transparent ones are always Christian. They are human beings, not your stepping stone to heaven.
This is the most depressing video ive seen in a long time. If you genuinely care about them as fellow human beings stop using them as your stepping stone to heaven. You think god cant see your true intentions?
What did you just write? A 'stepping stone to heaven'? What's that supposed to mean. These people ARE saved already. They don't need to 'do' anything to 'deserve' heaven, since people just can't. But once you've tasted how good the Lord is, you want to reach out to others and help them find what you found. If there's a soup kitchen with excellent meals, how'd you feel when I kept it a secret from you? You'd be angry with me, since you clearly would benefit from it. You'd think I was selfish keeping vital information from you. How much more with the banquet hall in heaven? All are loved and all are to be invited. In the meantime, based on some contact, we might actually be able to help you on earth as well. Seems you assume a lot here, but know little. Give others a break.
@@gardenjoy5223 If you just randomly approached me telling me about some soup kitchen I didn't ask about, I'd just tell you to buzz off. Lol @ the assertion that anyone who is saved can just do whatever they please and they will always have an unlocked door to heaven.

You obviously don't know Him yet. Pray to Him, that He will reveal Himself to you as He is: God indeed. "If we receive the testimony of people, the testimony of God is greater; for the testimony of God is this, that He has testified concerning His Son. The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God, has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life." Bible, 1 John 5: 9-12 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind. And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it. A man came, one sent from God, and his name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. This was the true Light that, coming into the world, enlightens every person. He was in the world, AND THE WORLD CAME INTO BEING THROUGH HIM, and yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not accept Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of a man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John testified about Him and called out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who is coming after me has proved to be my superior, because He existed before me.’” For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him." Bible, Gospel of John 1: 1-18 "Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a person be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ Bible, Gospel of John 3: 1-7 After Jesus Christ had died for our sins and rose again on the third day, He sent the Holy Spirit to lead those, who believe in Him. Peter was one of those. In Acts 2: 38 he explains, how this being born again of the Spirit can come about: "Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Without this, you will not be able to even SEE the Kingdom of God, let alone ENTER it. You are in the dark and blaspheming God, that He isn't able to keep the Bible in good order and you say that Jesus is a prophet, but you do anything to silence Him and function as an antichrist. Repent of this or be lost forever. Just because a very obvious FALSE prophet Mohammad lied to you and many others, why would you follow him to eternal punishment?! Why receive the testimony of Muhammad, who was a murderer, robber, enslaver, child molester, rapist, sex addict and traitor? Are you out of your mind to follow someone like that?!? Stop repeating the lies of the devil and his prophets. Start actually listening to Jesus Christ! All your works are but filthy rags to God. HE appointed a way for you to be saved, and this is through His only begotten SON Jesus Christ. You don't have the real Jesus, means you don't have life!

Buy a tent now.💓🐑
And here is some humor: when I became homeless I found out that I wasn't going to die if I didn't have a shower everyday. 🐑
This is an awesome video. Way to go brothers and sisters.
Great video, I like your approach
The first guy answered the Question, I want to be treated like a normal person. viedo over
Sounds lovely ❤
Home is a state of being for a perception we all have that houseless on the other hand is a different thing you either have a roof or you don't but that doesn't make you homeless
Thank you for this video, God bless you all ❤🙏
This is a great video. Thank you for the tips! Are you guys active in the Southern California area? Like San Diego or Los Angeles?
These people are my friends
Show me who your friends are and I will tell you what you are.

@Christ_in_the_City thank you for writing that back but one thing I learned if they treated me like that I imagine how they treated Jesus because we belong to him I failed to mention God also showed me favor El Salvadorian mother and son took me off the street and then I got really sick and I came home and right now God gave me a roof over my head a beautiful blind dog who loves me people in my church who care God is so good
JESUS SAVES ❤🙏🏼💯
I like the HOPE acronym! Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I just want to know , can I get help from the government if I help the homeless, for food , places or there health ?
This advice seems dangerous in my city.
At the start they say to avoid dangerous areas.
All the more reason to help (while staying safe). Think how dangerous it must be to be out in the middle of it with no place to go!
Fair weather ☁️ friends wait till winter they will be gone.
I hope that God gets a hold of you. He loves you very much xo
It's a great thing, getting a good feeling from trying to help someone.
There’s a lot wrong with most channels that claim to be for Christ, lips profess Him, but their hearts are far from him
@@MLGB0YzYou are right..Christ preached repentance from sin to a life of righteouness. Alot of people don't want to hear that message.
Most of us don't have jobs going spare we can hand out though. Meeting the immediate need of the moment is a practical way to demonstrate kindness
I am 68 Autistic really struggling please can you help me

What would Patrick Bateman do?
It may be uncomfortable to deal with cuz you don't know what to do, but like they said, just simply being kind to these folks who are all too often ignored can go a long way!😊
Thank you for all you have just stated.
What they need is shelter .My faith is 110% but what i am seeing is not cool .These people dont need socks ,they need shelter and medical help . Tiny houses are in now ,privacy ,no bed bugs ,less fighting ,and so on .Less talk more tiny homes .God bless .
100% housing first
Tiny homes..YES!
Tips for Encountering the Homeless..No1:- Make sure you don't have a home...
When do you share the gospel? You might not see that person again.
Don't be so righteous and arrogant don't ever think your life is any different than theirs they're just in a different situation
Some good information. The globe in the background makes me skeptical as to your beliefs. Do you not believe the Bible is the word of God?
I don’t get it. How does a globe in the background indicate a lack of belief in the Bible as the Word of God?
@rebecca120xmany The Earth sits on firm foundations and can not be moved. 1 of many.
@@ecurbyy “…cannot be moved.” That doesn’t mean it does not move as God set it up to do. 😊

These "Christians" are being predatory. This is all pride.

Luke 14:13-14
@@user-yq7vl1dj7i sadly very true. I think presentation is important, however. How do we make it appealing vs offensive? 🤷♀️🤔🙏
But you can?

The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life."
Bible, 1 John 5: 9-12
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
No one has seen God at any time; God the only Son, who is in the arms of the Father, He has explained Him." Bible, Gospel of John 1: 1-18
"Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus responded and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a person be born when he is old? He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ Bible, Gospel of John 3: 1-7
After Jesus Christ had died for our sins and rose again on the third day, He sent the Holy Spirit to lead those, who believe in Him. Peter was one of those. In Acts 2: 38 he explains, how this being born again of the Spirit can come about: "Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
Without this, you will not be able to even SEE the Kingdom of God, let alone ENTER it.
I am persecuted for actually serving God, no theater arts gimmicks. So I almost certainly won’t approach them as government ppl told me that it is their job to pretending I am crazy, when I have proven I am Christ.
