Great interview Twan! Fire & Ice are one of my top favourite producers since my teenage years - those days are unfortunately long gone 😊. Neverending Melody and Slient Cry, especially, resonate deeply in my heart as the tracks are so emotional and well produced - to this day 🙌. Indeed, you can actuallly hear some Gouryella/Ferry inspiration in Neverending Melody now that you mentioned it!
Awesome interview with Jurgen, Twan! Jurgen is such a nice down to earth guy :) I had a feeling he would say Para Siempre would be one of his favourite tracks after mentioning about the emotion of Silent Cry. I agree that Para Siempre is a very emotional track, I love the melody on that, awesome that Laurent did the guitar live for it :D Cheers Simon
Great content again Twan! Remember having magik 5 on a cassette tape way back when and obsessively fasting forward to this track, such an emotional tune! Never noticed the Gouryella inspiration, until now😅
Always looking forward to these interviews! Would love to hear one with Van Bellen (Jörg Querner) some day, my favorite progressive trance producer from the 90s/2000s.
Thank you! Unfortunately I don’t have a travel budget for these interviews, so I can only do interviews with people who live close to me or artists that do visit for gigs etc. Unfortunately I hardly get any advertising revenue via TH-cam, so interviews with people who live abroad and don’t have gigs in The Netherlands will most likely not happen…. Sorry, just being honest / realistic.
Just discovered your channel. Amazing to see the faces and hear the stories behind the music alot of us grew up listening to on our CD walkmans. Any chance you could get interviews from any of these guys? RTZ - Dance your ass off Apotheosis - O Fortuna General Base - Base of Love
Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately I don’t have a travel budget for these interviews (see video description), so that means I can only do interviews with people who live nearby or with artists that visit the Netherlands (where I’m based). Hopefully I’ll be able to grow the channel more and get more advertising revenue, so I have more budget for interviews abroad.
@@TheDefinitiveCollector no sorry, that doesn’t work for me. I only do interviews in person, the results and quality of those interviews is much better (and much more fun!) than doing interviews online 😉 And thank you for the support!
I must have misheard. The NATO as in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization has used Fire & Ice - Out Of Darkness in their celebratory video to their 65th anniversary? There's no way.
Hopefully one day, but right now I simply don’t have enough travel budget for trips abroad. Hopefully the amount of views (= advertising revenue) and donations are going up in the near future, since it is very hard to keep funding everything at the moment. So, hopefully one day! Ideas enough, but time and travel budget are my main issues these days…
@@kevin-yz1ty oh yeah, huge fan of The Prodigy myself too. And I did send an interview request in the past already, but never got a reply unfortunately 🥲
Did you check out my previous interview with Jurgen as well?

Only discovered Neverending Melody and Forever Young recently. Now they are two of my favourite trance tracks of all time. Both are masterpieces.

I did an interview with Maarten Vorwerk already, check it out! I currently don’t have plans for an interview about “Frozen Flame”, sorry!
