You have just helped me identify 2 vehicles in my dads collection, the ATL interceptor and the side gunner. They were always unknown to us he bought them in a big lot of star wars toys along with smaller vehicles like the hoth mechanic set, that small shuttle, the Ewok Hanglider etc. Did not know these two are from Droids. He also has the skiff but we knew that was on the rare side. Thanks for the video

The A-Wing is definitely the nicest vehicle Kenner released in the POTF/Droids lines.
If you want a more realistic impression of how much this stuff is actually worth, look at sold listings, not open ones. Looking at them myself, an unopened Ewok Battle Wagon sold recently for 550 dollars, and a Droids Sidegunner in the original box and good condition went for 230 dollars.
I understand what you're saying, but the purpose of the video was to show what these items will cost right now if you want to buy the very best examples that are available today.

great video ,i have really enjoyed these series. out of all of them i do like the droids vehicles i reckon they made some nice ones in this line. Great videos and some great stories from follow subscribers about there memories with these great toys of the 80s

Jeez! The Ewok Battle Wagon looks like something off The Flintstones! I don’t recognise any of these toys. Must have been after my time. Another great video.
These were all after my time with Star Wars as well. I didn't know half of them existed until I made this video.
All Things 80s yeah, I pretty much only collected the original Palitoy / Kenner stuff when the movies were out.

I have the skiff, the A-wing and a couple of the mini rigs. The skiff and A-wing are awesome and worth picking up. You can get a nice one of either of these loose for around 300-500. Depending on how nice you want it. I paid around 425 for a near mint skiff. And 375 for a near mint A-wing. Still very expensive, but you can get these for considerably cheaper if you don't care about the box and you're patient.
Also if you want the A-wing and skiff for WAAAAAY CHEAPER....you can always get the POTF 2 versions of these. They're essentially the same toy but with different paint apps/weathering/battle damage. They use the same mold. If you're on a tighter budget go that route.
I just looked it up on Ebay and the POTF 2 versions of the skiff and A-wing are going for about 40-50 NEW.

For some odd reason the Ewok Battle Wagon is quite popular in the collecting community. Complete examples are very hard to find and some collectors are willing to pay a very high price for it.
I guess it's one of these things that completists have to have and as there are so few of them out there, the price is inflated.
It’s funny how people think these toys are worth more if you trap them inside a plastic box bought an Afa graded yak face a few years ago I couldn’t break it out it’s plastic prison fast enough

I have the A-Wing release from 92. No electronics
If I ever get one, I'd probably get the POTF2 one as well as it pretty much looks the same as the original.
@@AllThings80s think that’s it, came with a pilot. The landing gear internal mechanism snapped off all by itself, so watch out for that issue if buying. It would be easy to install a battery and leds in place of candescent bulbs, from the 1st ewok release.

It does seem rather pricey, but I think it's pretty rare.
@@AllThings80s been a while since I've seen it on Ebay may have gone up since I've just seen the side gunner vehicle for £340 + having a look on Ebay .
@@brianjohnson5063 It seems like these POTF and Droids toys are extremely rare as there were probably so few of them sold as Star Wars was on the way out in 1985.

The 1980s POTF card backs were really blank... Perhaps to cut costs? Either way, they weren't as great as their initial release
You could tell that Star Wars was on its last legs by the time POTF hit the stores.

Compared to other star wars lines those toys are hideous. The figures were really bad. Those ballon looking characters.
