@@emldV2 That's not true. Melee and Project M on Netplay are almost perfect from my experience. So many variables you can tweak for visual performance, controller adapters, monitors or even CRT's to play on, and options to reduce latency and set an appropriate frame buffer. So long as you are playing with someone geographically close, there shouldn't be much lag. It's consistent.

It was that awkward live also they had a really bad format for the intros also they started them so early rather than just waiting until like quarters or something.

I haven't seen either ESAM or MVD *so pissed* that they'd get vocal/physical in such a long time. It's funny, but also shows that this Thunder Smash was probably Smash's worst competitive environment in history.

I think this tournament just destroyed the mentality of a lot of players and commentators.
@Marisa Nya I think it really just was the massive pot bonus, in addition to how little second place place. Made things really tense. They had to be feeling the pressure hard
Plus, this event didn't even have enough players to get PGR, so getting top 8 got you basically nothing if you didn't win it all

I'm not saying it was funny, as I didnt even know who Etika was at the time of this joke, but for us to say he was taking shots at mental health is an overstatement, especially when nobody knew he was actually suffering from mental illness. I bet he wishes he could take that joke back if it meant Etika wouldn't have died, who wouldn't?
@@Lordecai its just harder to believe when he called him "batshit insane" in front of a live audience. clearly, he had some idea it was related to mental illness. It has little to do with whether or not he actually died moreso that the joke was dismissive and in poor taste to begin with. Not to single out Sky or anything, but with such a big platform, its probably not the best idea to crack such dumb jokes about mental health.
