I already know all this (been lost i nthe weeds of DA lore since before Inquisition...) but honestly I just love the content and your adorable ghost avatar ^^
I really like these videos they are quick and easy to consume plus its a good prep for Veilgaurd i have tried to play Origins and 2 but im just not built for games of that age, but thats a me thing not a problem of the games themselves. Btw i love the cute ghost avatar
I’m already taking summer courses for my undergrad, might as well add another!! I’ve been loving these, it’s a great refresher course since it’s been a few years since I was last into DA.
🍎 Excellent video. I like your little avatar too ^_^ I have a Volume-booster extension on my browser, but it was a tad hard to hear without headphones. All Love
Just an additive note for any who might be unfamiliar or have forgotten: while the Qun doesn't specifically mention gods or deities, it does have what at least The Iron Bull calls "priests." So it does seem to be a bit like "a religion without a god" kind of thing, to me. It is a philosophy, but it's a philosophy that involves the same ritual and reverence, if not more actually, as religions with actual gods. I am hoping we learn more about the Qunari priesthood in Veilguard, or how spirituality works for them (because I think it *is* a type of spirituality), and I don't think that will be a retcon, but just added layers to what we already know.
Let me give a bit of a real world comparison to the religions of Thedas The Maker-Christianity The Tevinter Old Gods-Roman Pantheon The Evanuris-A mixture of Judaism and the Greek Pantheon, but with elves The Stone and the Ancestors-The Dwarven version of the Indian Caste System The Qun-The Fantasy Version of Communism
Got to remember to bring an apple to the teacher next time....
the chibi Ghil Dirthalen is so cute I hope Solas helped her to reunite with herself again, in the Vir Dirthara

When Solas encounters Mythal, you can see her put a piece of her soul through the mirror before he arrives.

The Qun-The Fantasy Version of Communism
The only thing I’d change a smidge is that the Evanuris also seem to have Norse influence. They have a trickster god and an all-mother and all-father.
Every time I hear the qunari call each other "kadan", I just hear "comrade"
