This prefab house also has several different options and is be built as a modular home! The manufacturer for this house is SMI. The model for this home is the "Picket Fence!" 😊it is much bigger than I expected. From the outside is looks super narrow and small but it actually looks cozy and roomy. Definitely get a workout with those stairs lol
I'd rent out 1st. Floor. Very nice set up on 2nd. Floor.i like having a half bath. Or I would like to have one.lol. stairs awful steep. Like the little sitting area on 3rd floor. Love primary bedroom suite. I thought the first one was the primary. Very nice home. I'm glad you showed us this. Some people just don't realize that modular homes can be anything a stick house can be. They're even big commercial buildings that are modular.Thank you for the tour!!

This house is so fresh and modern, I can see a young couple just starting out here. For us older folks the stairs are a hard NO. LOL

Definitely for the younger couple this one, with all them stairs... But a beautiful layout none the less.The Master bedroom is particularly nice. Thanks for the tour.
Agree with your comment. The main bedroom closet space seems a bit limited, though. The back bedroom on the third floor could be expanded by relocating the closet space to its entrance hall in place of the cabinets and enclosing a second closet above the open stairwell. BTW, did I catch a glimpse of "Cathy" at the University of Pittsburgh out a third floor window?

When you shut the main bath shower curtain you're gonna be in the dark! Pretty cool home!
It would be better if they switched the placement of the shower and toilet. It's more room and a window.
It was a very nice flow plan has accomated the motherinlaw suite. And it was much larger than it appeared ...thanks for the tour

I liked the older houses across the street. This looked ok inside, as long as a high wind does not come up.
When Chance was showing you how far you could see from the 3rd story I thought yep, watch those storms roll right to you. LOL
It's located in Pittsburgh, we don't get real crazy weather that often here in Pennsylvania. What we consider a bad thunderstorm would be laughable to anyone living along the coast. Alot of homes here are 3 story tall and most typically have a basement as well.
@@hustle717 I use to live a short distance from Scranton. There is still a scar that is very visible from a tornado coming through the area. The ice storms really were horrible. Do you get those in Pittsburgh?
@@shannabauer I live closer to Philly, I dont recall getting a tornado in my immediate area. But yeah we do get ice, snow, etc.
I really love this place and the exterior of it. My most favorite parts are the built-ins throughout, floating shelves, the table at the end of the island, the balcony, and the sitting room in the master bedroom.
Wow it’s so tall!! I’m pretty fit but I’m not sure I would want to climb all that all the time.

Wow, this property really surprised me. Inside it is super spacious and comfortable, although there are a lot of stairs. I still liked it a lot 👌🏻♥️
Though changing the layout a bit could get an elevator to fit.

I absolutely loved it. I love all the windows and all closets. My kids could live on the second floor. I could live on the first floor. It be perfect.

Totally agree with you. Way too many stairs. Let alone taking furniture up them. Better hope your knees never go bad.
I do agree with you. Although if you don't need a second bedroom take the first floor and rent out the upper floors. More money. I'm wondering if an elevator could be added or if they did a double wide add one. That could allow for a two bedroom first floor with a three bedroom above.
Sorry, you old folks keep your self on the bottom floor. Leave the upper floors for people that have a family.

This home is spectacular❣ The only thing that I would want is a door at the top of the stairs coming from the first floor. The reason for it would be, that if someone or a pet, were to fall down the stairs from the top floor, the door would prevent a possible further downward fall. Safety peace of mind for me😊

This house is amazing! Not sure if it is the type for me. But it is great!
Well..... I have mixed feelings... First, it's very nice. I love having a rental unit, it's well laid out, just enough space for one person. The rest of the house was also very nice...I love the features, the back splash in the kitchen.... Love the flooring, the layout was kinda cool... I actually love everything, except two things: first... All those stairs! Lol. As someone who keeps forgetting things, and where I left them, I'd always be running up and down. Second: the price! Yikes.... I figured maybe half that. So, basically a beautiful home, but the stairs and price are both a bit steep... Thanks for showing it to, it was really fun to check out 😊
What about living in the ADU and renting out the main? That'd get it paid off faast!
It's perfect for Pennsylvania. I would turn that office space, second floor into bedroom. I would secure that back entrance,seems exposed. Yes I am from the north, now living in the south.😊

Hope you had a great time in Pittsburgh, Chance! Great house, but in a not so great neighborhood. Should have an elevator for that price, though. The tall building you saw in the distance from the master bedroom is the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus.

Beautiful Townhome, love the use of space. Unfortunately, with my wife and I getting up there in age, we can't consider anything more than one story... although, this could be an excellent rental property. Just needs better off street parking.

Smart idea to have the laundry up on the top where the bedrooms are so you don't have to be lugging things up and down the stairs.

Great tour, Chance, as always. When I saw the outside, I thought of those row-houses (I think that's what they were called) on All In The Family and Archie Bunker's house, all built right together. If a big gust of wind came along, I'm thinking it would blow this one over! I like the interior decoration, though. Blessings!

Liked elements- only concern is once you buy it they will build a house on that empty area on the left side. So those wonderful windows will look out 6 ft on to the wall of the next house. Was curious how much a stair lift would cost to install... but then even with a stair lift you would have stairs to contend with. I completly expected to see a garage in the basement.
THREE STOREY, WOW!! This one's a true game changer! Though there's a kiloton of steep stairs, I could see this layout being alterable to add an elevator. The first floor guest apartment is a smart move on the part of the manufacturer. Not only can this suite be income generating, but it's suitable for the growing percentage of younger people who can't afford their own places thanks to Bidenomics and the new normal of hyperelevated rents and prices, as well as being suitable for the sizeable population with intellectual and developmental disabilities that often make staying with parents or group homes the only viable options. The first floor suite could also be the owners quarters if you plan on using this as a rooming house or group home. This suite, coupled with the third floor bedrooms could easily accommodate a housemate situation, though with a price tag in the $700,000 to $980,000 range, each roommate would need to earn six figures a year to afford it.

The kitchen in the main part of the house is dark and I DESPISE a dark kitchen. The main bedroom's shower is also dark. It's also a little bit modern for my taste. Kinda stark ;)

A different home and interesting.. But not my cup of tea... But! I could see this in a small downtown area and the bottom level being retail. Like a boutique or fabric store or even a business like insurance or some other office. and then owners living upstairs. The back bedroom on the first floor being the office and having a door go directly to the stairs. You wouldn't even have to have a full bath on the first floor then and it would have a bit more office/retail space. Yea I think that would be interesting too.
That would blow right over in the first thunderstorm on our farm. We will stick to one or two story, with a larger base footprint to be safer. Still looking....

This is a very unique home and it is beautiful too! Did I miss the 4th bedroom And bathroom? It would definitely not be for me, maybe if I was younger but way too many stairs for me. And the master bedroom closet is way too small my husband would have to figure out where is clothes will go! 😂
The bottom section would be, a great Tiny Home layout.
Efficient use of a narrow urban lot. First floor is a perfect plan for an empty nest couple with plenty of kitchen space

I like the bottom level the most. Of the two upper levels, the mid level looks well thought out. However, I have to say, you couldn't get me on the third level. It seems unstable.

It’s a ventless washer/dryer combo.
The house was NOT made for older people or people with bad knees. The only thing I would change is the placement of the main shower and toilet. Switch those around so I can have more light in the shower.
I don’t like that the main house has to give up the full porch to the ADU. I just don’t like the layout overall. I would do floors 1-2 on the front and add a back entrance that just goes to floor 3 as the ADU. Let those folks climb the stairs. lol The balcony is pretty small. We have 3 story homes in Las Vegas but most have an elevator option. They also have rooftop decks, which are very nice.
Lower section needs a couple of doors to separate the bedroom and bath from the main space. A pocket door between the bath and kitchen, and one between the bed and bath.
I felt every last one of those steps. I need to ice my knees🤪🤪nice home but too many steps🪜😊
