Imaging the Western Veil Nebula

  • I discuss the process of producing an image of the Western Veil Nebula in my first attempt. This video shows the full editing process from taking the raw image data and calibrations frames, stacking them, to processing them to the very end in Photoshop.

    Sky-Watcher Evostar 72ED refracting telescope
    Sky-Watcher EQ3 goto tracking mount
    Canon EOS 4000D DSLR camera
    A cheap laptop

    Date = 09/06/2024
    Total Exposure Time = 2hrs 25min 30sec
    Sub-exposures = 45sec
    ISO = 800
    No filters, field flatteners or guide scopes used
