This is exactly how I tie glo bugs. I bought some commercial glo bugs this year and they were much more dense and the hook:sphere size made for a larger hook. but I've always secretly felt a little insecure of the "underbelly" of my eggs. I use contrasting thread sometimes and call that my embryo. Thanks for posting this, I feel alot better about how I do it 🤘
I was up on the Manistee until yesterday and EVERYBODY was using egg flies. Maybe not exclusively but on most rigs that were running 2 flies at least one was an egg fly. Quick, simple and effective. Does it get much better?
