- No cooling service call. Space is 72.5 degrees. these old trane voyagers have been neglected for years. This location calls for major problems and service only, on site maintenance makes minor repairs. old honeywell controls, it's a wonder anything still works.
Nice listening to your thought process when there wasn't anyone there to even tell you what they thought was wrong or had experienced. Add combing the hail damage out to that list. 😉
Thanks, Jay!
The maintenance team make things harder sometimes... Just ordered a set of those door stops, thanks for the tip!
Hey, thanks, mechanicalenviroments!
Recommend changing all filters, belts, clean coils, check refrigerant charge get rid of maintenance department and the control system. Go with thermostats and have your company do maintenance. Salesman go out and sell the customer control systems telling them that they are going to save a large amount money until it breaks down over and over agin. In the long run it may save them .000001 watt of energy per year. About 40 years ago I had a couple of engineer's form different Air Conditioning manufactures tell me off the books that the customers and contractors are doing most of the Research and Development on their equipment, because they put the Equipment out so fast that they don't have the time to do the Research and development. I think it's true by just looking at the failure rate of the control systems and equipment. Good video.
Thanks, Chris! I don't disagree with you.
Awesome video Steve, these old units keeps us busy.
Thanks, Mike
Great video. Thank you for sharing
Thanks, ZE.
Nice work Steve. That place is sure in bad shape.
Thanks, Steven
Good video Steve. I have an old voyager to do a leak search on this week sometime. Think the leak is in the evaporator. If it is going to try and repair.
Thanks, Bryan. Finding it is half the battle. Here's a tip, remove all the panels and be sure to check the back side U-bends before you go searching in the coil.
Nice vid Steve-o ... Thx
Thanks, Eddy
Great job Steve has always
Thanks, Jr
Dame shame how they expect you to find the best answer when there not even there with the questions.
Zero maintenance everywhere, the ERV , the economizers ,all the RTU's .
Lol did you get an explanation on why they added a damper's over the exhaust's?
Thankx for the editing and posts , got some nice looking shots on this one .
Talk to you soon
Thanks, James. No, I did not get an answer on the exhaust covers. It would have been a dumb answer anyway 😆
Could you o a video explaining sequence of operations? Will be really appreciated for Young audience!
I may just confuse myself as well as everyone else 😅 but who knows what the future will bring. Thank you
Did you ever get confirmation from the maintenance guy
Nope, they showed up as I was wrapping up. I told them we need a day or so to clean and go through everything.
@@EverythingHVACR figures that would happen....lol...maybe he was down the road with binoculars and watching you clean up..."ah..ok I can go now" 😆 🤣
😆. The 2 that showed up were quite the pair. The local college maintenance staff is short-handed like everyone.
Do you feel like Sherlock Holmes at times?
I try to play Sherlock Holmes every time. 😆. I've gotten better over the years, repetition and failure. Thanks, r aeronca!
Who do you work for in Louisville? My home office is in Louisville
Who do you work for, Josh? It's not really a big secret, but I try not to show my company, other companies, or customers, most importantly.
