4AGE... I recently swapped my 4AGE 20V black top with a 2nd gen 3sgte off an MR2 in my Mitsibishi Lancer.. Ofcourse power and torque is way better now but I really miss the fun of the 20V NA goodness! :(

uncomparable, they're both in a league of there own.The 4AGE is a high revving responsive engine like the VTEC engines from honda. the 1JZ is a big lumpy power house like RB engines from Nissan.
they both sound amazing, the jzx is more of a beastly sound, where as the 86 sounds a lot more refined in my opinion :)

The 1JZ sounds good, but the 4A sounds so crisp, it has so much more of a spread of different sounds, a snarl down low, a shriek up high, it just sounds so much more crisp and immediate to me...
Both sound so fucking good. I would have to go with the 86.
Chasers turbo sounds nasty, but the 4AGE sounds legendary ✌️
Usually 1JZ-GTE, but I hear those ITB's on the 4A-GE! 4A-GE for me.

Dang, that JZX100 sounds beautiful, but I have to go with the AE86, and that screaming 4AGE, it's so beautiful, they both sound mint though, love the sound of both, they both win in my opinion

4AGE sounds great, but how about the performance, i know this is sound battle but i still prefer the 1JZ inline 6 because it is more powerful than 4AGE, but if the sound, 4AGE crisps.
Edit: I dunno why the Chaser sounds like RB26DETT. Their sound is nothing at 2JZ.
im a sucker for turbo 6s but both sound mean as hell. The 4a is a bit more in your face and the 1j has a lowkey bite to it

Both are beautiful. I ought to be partial, given my blacktop swapped E92; I can't find any problems with the 1JZ (other than the recirc sound). Both sound nicer than my bro-tastic WRX.

The 86! I am biased though, having an AW11 MR2 :P When you do a full video on the 86 could you go in depth on the engine work done? I'm going to start working on my 4A-GE shortly and I'm interested to find out whats on it. Thanks!

MONKY LONDON I'd love a little KP61, a tiny little hatch with RWD would be ridiculously fun in the wet. I've looked into a carb setup myself, but I'm not sure about having to balance them all the time :p

I really really really like both. But my favorite type of engines are when they're N.A. I was wondering, which type of 4A-GE is there under da hood ? is it a RedTop one 16V or a BlackTop one 20v ? (the blacktop has stock ITB, I know). If it'as a JDM Hachiroku trueno she's got the 4A-GE 16v.
And it's obvious that this engine got a ITB, we can heard the particularly sound. it sounds really beautifully. Greetings from France dude !

As a turbocharged engine the 1JZ sounds the best, but man! That N/A sound from the Corolla, is just as maaad! If it was between the 1JZ-GE and the 4AGE I would give it to the 4A for sure!

ae86 with out a dought no boring turbo sound. just a revy little 4age carbs on it sound amazing . chaser is cool to but not in same league pound for pound as the we ae86 is a true clasic now

They both sound incredible, love the rawness of the 4AGE and the sexual sound of the 1J. But I'd take the 1J all day.
Although the chaser did sound awesome but nothing can compare to the world renowned 4AGE same engine in my ae82 puts smile on my and other peoples face great by the way loving all of them keep it dude 👊🏻

for my opinion, the naturally aspired sound of ae86 it's the best and it can't never beat from stutututu turbo sound of all other cars!
