Actually, someone could state a comment with a different alternative meaning to what was said, but it would be in bad taste. And this movie is supposed to be kid friendly.
@Noel T. Lat That is what you think. Even with a R-rating it still comes off as a PG-13 movie. Everything that needs to happen is kept within a correction of what they can and can't do. This Company needs to have a branch Company that can make adult versions of these movies that don't have to pull punches.

The shot of carnage's face in the light really proves how detailed the cgi looks
Carnage's design is straight up amazing when you just pause the movie and just look at him. Pure art if you ask me. Even the way Cletus turns into Carnage is crazy good. All the clicking that you hear when the tendrils come out. That's all coming from his spine.
Instead of being made out of blood red goop. It looks like they used a material that's a blend of bone, muscle and blood for his body.
Like how Venom is made black oil and Riot was liquid metal

When riot comes out the fluid kind of just stays a put a little.
But when Carnage comes out there's chunks in the fluid. And when he changes you can hear a clicking noise when the tendrils come out of his back
Like I said. Pause the movie when it comes out and just look at carnage. Pure work of art.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the fact that the car he stole and picked her up in was her dream car? (1:00) Cletus is actually a pretty good boyfriend (later husband) to Frances.

I think it’s be though that she knows how to drive it. She’d been locked up since she was a kid yet knows how to drive that car like a professional. It’d be kinda funny if she started driving and was just like “yeah I don’t know how to drive this”.

I can definitely imagine carnage being this dangerous but this movie hindered the more carnage side of his character

The prison scene is what bugged me the most. Carnage should’ve been an indiscriminate whirlwind of razor blades when unleashed, killing both guards and inmates just for fun but he freed the inmates instead. It just doesn’t seem like something he would do in the comics. I also think they downplayed the relationship between Kassady and the Carnage symbiote. I don’t remember Kassady trying to stop the symbiote from killing because they were essentially perfect for each other.
It's an alternative universe version.

I'm surprised nobody complained that they changed her power. In fairness, however, sonic screaming is a much more fitting power for a character named Shriek than lightforce manipulation
Shriek is definitely one of the coolest and most psychotic villains they have made in the Marvel movies so far. I’m very disappointed they killed her off so early, would’ve loved to see more of her.

Anyone else like how Shriek's sonic scream looks. With air particles being drawn in, then released? Only other time I saw that was with Black Canary in the Birds of Prey show.
I thought it was kind of neat how she basically has to wind (pun unintended) her power up before she can release it (which didn't bode well for her in the end). I appreciate that sort of attention to detail with superpowers.

The portrayal was cool, I just would have preferred a little accuracy to the books on Shrieks part
I love Carnage's voice the deepness of it makes it sound more intimidating
I prefer a high pitch voice for Carnage, it shows his sadism and makes him sound different then Venom.

What I loved about this movie was the fact that they gave carnage a voice and a personality.
Back in the 1995 cartoon carnage was his own man. But the newer versions painted him as this mindless animal. I was worried that Cletus WAS carnage like he would look like carnage but it would still be Cletus if that makes sense. Meaning every time Cletus wants to talk his face comes out like how it was with Spider Man Threes venom. Eddie barely talked as Venom in that one and when he talked the mask came off.
See that's exactly what I disliked about Carnage in this movie. I didn't like the fact they made it similar to Eddie and Venom. It's not supposed to be that way. With Eddie and Venom yes, but with Carnage no. Because Carnage pretty much becomes Cletus and Cletus becomes Carnage. There's not one without the other. Like yeah it's technically still another living being living inside of another living being, but their bond is on a blood cellular level to the point where cletus's blood is literally Carnage. This movie wasn't a bad movie at all it's just not the way I hoped Carnage would be but oh well it was his first time being in a movie. Theres always a chance to make the character more comic accurate. I get that he's dead but no one stays dead in comics
@@Venom-Bell_420 that's actually the cool part. CARNAGE AINT DEAD! And technically neither is Cletus. See Venom didn't devour carnage. He reabsorbed him like how Riot briefly merged with Venom in the last movie. But venom was still inside Riot maintaining his individuality.
Carnage is most likely in the same predicament. He's still inside of venom.
And with both of them now being in the MCU carnage can be reborn once he busts out and seeks out MCU Cassidy who is more than likely in jail.

I actually really enjoyed this one. A couple of things I didn’t like but all in all a fun enough movie and LOADS better than the first one

Because he was giving her the benefit of the doubt as Cletus is in love with her. So Carnage continues to warn her not do that until he loses his patience and attacks her
You can’t hear a symbiote when it’s in the body, that’s explained when Eddie was hearing venom in the first movie and she was like it’s talking too you when they were in the car, so carnage speaking here she probably didn’t even hear him

This Cletus and Shriek are sympathetic in a way since in the comics they have a love hate relationship but here it's pure love and no hate. (Well Carnage is the hate to this relationship lol)
That inhale shriek takes before the scream is really a cool detail. It’s basically like a charge up and redistribution. 💯

With canary it depends if it's her mother or her daughter. Forgot which one but one of them takes a deep breath and let's it out. (Just Remembered it's her daughter Dinah that does that also depends on the version).

One of Carnage’s back tentacles alone could easily impale Tobey’s spiderman in the chest and it’s basically game over for Tobey’s spiderman. Carnage can also shoot spikes from his body at targets also. Venom can’t do any of those abilities that Carnage can as Venom is the weakest Symbiote. Though, Spiderman has fast regenerative healing power, and is pretty intelligent in his combat moves. Carnage is also 30x stronger than Spiderman’s superhuman strength so that strength alone is very challenging for Spiderman to handle by himself.

This scene makes me curious: Is there an specific type of sound that harms symbiotes?
Like a specific wavelength, pitch or loudness?
Because there was a lot of noise caused by Carnage himself: crashing cars, the helicopter, the shooting, the breaking windows, the walls crumbling, etc.
High pitched sounds, but at large volumes (db)... There are sounds like sirens that symbiotes might find annoying, but bells for example are in much higher volume than sirens...

Looking back on this film after all the anticipation for no way home and the craziness of the multiverse, this film is actually so much fun. The carnage portrayal for a pg 13 movie is actually quite good, and the voice is so dope. It fits in this universe so well. I’m just very disappointed with how Sony treats villains, and this dates all the way back to the first Spider-Man. They just kill them all off. No one is ever left to survive. It sucks because unless they figure something out we will never see carnage again

It is very ironic that Casady has a sound-sensitive symbiote and is in love with someone who can kill him, even unintentionally.
In the comics the carnage symbiote was no longer really affected by sound, it waa heat that really messed it up. But hey this film has very little in common with the source material

I know it's really harmonics that pose the problem, but I have to roll my eyes at the number of times they shout that the symbiotes are sensitive to sound over gunfire, roaring engines, helicopters, and explosions.
I think it's high frequencies specifically that are irritating to the symbiotes. Pretty much every time it bothers them is when something is high pitched or has a resounding clanging noise.
